I agree, I have tried them all and ended up right back at Google each time. If they would get rid of the cartoon character on the Today page it would be perfect.
Best radar app that I found is Raindar. Completely free, simple, clean and does the job. I have been using it for years now.
Bot got it wrong, here's the correct link: Raindar by Gerrit van Doorn | Free
I'm not sure which app you're looking at, because the Raindar I use isn't what the bot linked. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ghvandoorn.Raindar
Although it has less features, I use Raindar because its free :)
That's too bad. I usually use raindar for radar, but it hasn't been updated in a very long time. I think they are using wunderground's radar layer, but since it's an inactive free app, I'm not sure how they are managing the pretty high price.
I also sometimes use nimbus's radar because of the draggable time scrubber. If you add a time scrubber, put it at the bottom so that grabbing and dragging it doesn't require that you cover the screen with your thumb :)
