Despite having 0 artisitic ability or experience with animation whatsoever, I always love messing with this little known animation app.
It is a full featured, idiot proof, make any animation from scratch app, and it works unbelievably well. Really easy to use and get the hang of.

If you're on a tablet or any phone with a stylus & decent size display, $5 is a total steal. This guy did a great job.

Rough animator seems to be one of the more powerful yet intuitive apps that I've come across. I just purchased it so I don't have first hand experience yet. I only used it for about five minutes, seems to work well. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.weirdhat.roughanimator
