Bro from my experience of seeing my father walking for an hour daily, it hasn't much helped, but i would recommend is running, first start running in intervals, like start with warm up, 4 min. Walk, then 1 min. Run and then 2 min. Walk, then again, do this for like 30 mins. Try "Running for weight loss" app. It have audio clues for intervals. Like when you have to walk or run.
