Thanks! Yeah, it's supposed to be a mobile game, but I'm struggling with making the controls comfortable. So far I'm using "flicks" on any part of the screen to move the character (similar to how it works in Rust Bucket), but I've gotten feedback that it gets tiring after a while.
Since this is just a learning project, and I don't intend on really expanding on it or maintaining it long-term, I'm thinking of releasing it on itch.io and the Play Store for free.
I've been playing Rust Bucket for awhile now and it's become one of my favorite handheld games of all time. These games are very similar; both are turn-based-rogue-like with randomized dungeons.
I played Rust Bucket since this post was posted. And I must say that it's also really good and a great game to play after Hoplite. It's different but has a very similar feel to it and great puzzles. Highly recommended but the ads suck as you do die a lot. It's one of the best puzzle games I've played.

I've become addicted to Rust Bucket recently. Fun as hell, turn-based puzzle game.

I have some different taste in games but I'm gonna try to recommend some stuff anyway and hope you like some of it:
For Crypt of the Necrodancer style turn based strategy I would have to recommend Ending, Turnament, and Gunbrick (the first two are free and the latter two are mobile games) or really anything similar by Aaron Steed. He just really gets that style of strategy. He also made a free roguelike called Red Rogue which gets really addicting.
I'd also recommend Downwell, which is a Spelunky style roguelike-platformer. It's a lot of fun to play, because making smart choices on what upgrades to get and strategizing is really central to doing well.
Similarly I have a lot of fun playing Super House of Dead Ninjas (ignore the trailer :P). It's more platforming than Downwell but it's similar and you get the same rush when you have a really good run. There's a version that's free online which has like 90% of the stuff in the Steam version but I bought it on Steam anyway because it's worth paying for.
I'll add more stuff if I think of it. Hope you find something here you like!
