You might be interested in Satoshi Proof, a simple Android app that lets you embed hashes of documents in the blockchain.
Oh like a notary. Sure that works. But still have to trust your government to enforce it. Also there's no one stopping the human from putting in incorrect data into the blockchain. But notary using Bitcoin is a thing to prove it existed at that point. Anyone use this app with good success - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ligi.satoshiproof
Satoshi Proof is an easy way to generate really good proof that a document existed at a certain time - in some ways even better than a notary. It costs a few cents to use, but you receive independently-verifiable cryptographic proof on the bitcoin blockchain.
Factom is similar to Satoshi Proof - they offer hashing to blockchains as a service. However, they use their own blockchain (anchored in Bitcoin), so to persuade people to hash onto their blockchain rather than the Bitcoin blockchain directly, they need small blocks and high transaction fees in Bitcoin.
Satoshi Proof is a simple Android app for this.

There's an android app called Satoshi Proof that does something similar: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ligi.satoshiproof&hl=en
