The toolkit they use to make the iOS code work on Android is quite bad performance wise from what I hear -- though supposedly newer versions are better.
Another thing that helps on some devices is the pseudorandom entropy generator hack: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.zdvdev.sef&hl=en
But on newer devices, this should not be an issue. It helped my old Galaxy S3, but not my newer device.
Here is one easier thing that the devs could look at. Hell, I could, if I put my phone in debug mode and had the time:
WTF is the game doing for several seconds when you go to the sphere house with no filter on Android with most/all spheres unlocked? Something is wrong with how they use the UI to populate long lists. anywhere in the game with a very long list, takes a long time to load. I bet if they fix one, they would fix most. From what I hear, iOS doesn't have this problem.
This is an easy one because the stall is so long that you can just take a stack trace and see WTF is going on.
