The game's called Shapeout, and if you watched the gif you could probably see what the deal is -- you rotate the blocks and form a shape to remove it from the board. I released it on Android, but unfortunately I don't have a Mac to release it on iOS. For those without an Android, I compiled a desktop version of the game if you want to try it (some functionality such as the leaderboards won't work).

EDIT: Amazed by the response! I've already started working on an update to address some of the things people have said. It should be out within a day or two of this post.

i use Greader to have a bunch of my RSS feed available offline. i usually play a quick game of shapeout, it's really great for short gaming sessions while waiting for a few minutes.

easy to learn, can be a simple relaxing game or you can go big and try to create massive shapes to clear for more points. no IAP, no ads, no bloated permissions, just a fun free game.

currently have this happening with an android game called shapeout. similar to tetris, very simple, and no permissions required.

used to see the same effect with bejeweled, but i won't install it on my phone since they've turned into a bloated game with ads and i assume data collection with it's intrusive permissions.
