Okay. Then you can try.
It looks cool. Check this.
I also used fleksy mostly for this function. I started using google keyboard again, but still looking for a way to implement the gif-chooser again. Any suggestions?
Like Gboard for iOS, i suppose google will do something the same for android soon. Edit: found this
It's definitely an interesting and useful idea, but I think generally app-in-keyboard concepts are good.
So far what I've seen people putting in our keyboards: GIFs, Instagram feeds, calendar events, contacts, OneDrive documents, and Google search. What the heck, Flesky even has app shortcuts as if keyboards were launchers or homescreens or something.
What is a user supposed to do? Switch to each keyboard whenever it's needed? Heck I don't even like having to switch languages. What's the difference between switching to the app at this point?
I think a better solution would be something like Slashes Keyboard except open to devs to create plugins for more "commands." Perhaps once Google ports gboard to Android, that's what we'll get, with maybe some help from Google Assistant. One place to not only type, but attach whatever we want, not just GIFs and Google searches.
For those who don't want to wait, there's already an Android keyboard with similar functionality, 3rd party services, and you can set it to look exactly like Google Keyboard. It's called Slash keyboard: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tapslash.android.latin
Play store version is different number than iOS:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tapslash.android.latin&hl=en
Don't know if they had it in previous version, but swipe autocomplete is non-existent.
Or Slash Keyboard. This is based on Google keyboard and just has some extra features.
I type /lenny to get ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Much easier than scrolling through the stock Google Keyboard
Looks interesting, think I'll give it a try.
