I love that I just found soundwire to send audio only to my phone, so I can use reddit and listen at the same time.
edit: wrong name https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.georgie.SoundWire
well this is not a direct answer to your question, but it may help so here goes:
I have my computer connected to my TV so this works for me, but i am not sure it will work, or even help you. The app I use is called Sound Wire (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.georgie.SoundWire) What this does is start a little server application on my computer that sends all audio streams to my phone, where i listen with my headphones. great way to watch the bigscreen at night and not bother anyone. There is a free version of the app, and a pay one as well. Like i said, not sure if this will help, but it will give you a way to send audio streams from your computer to your android device.
I hope this helps a little, sorry I didn't have a better answer for you.
This works for me. I plug my phone into the computer and connect over USB tethering to minimise lag but I don't use it often as it has very noticeable latency.
Android has an app called SoundWire that allows me to redirect all sound that plays on my PC to the phone. Is there anything similar for WP?
I use an app called Soundwire, is this what you are referring to? It streams all audio from your computer to your phone.

Thanks.
Is it the same as Soundwire Full Version? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.georgie.SoundWire I tried the free version but was not overly impressed.
Edit : also, this app plays the sound from the computer but doesn't allow to actually control the player (browse the folders, skip tracks, etc).
I have my PC hooked up to my TV, so I use an app called soudwire to transmit the audio over wifi to my phone. This essentially makes any set of headphones wireless. I also use unified remote to control my PC from my couch.
Low tech solution, many (most?) tvs will have an audio out you could plug a long 3.5mm extension cable into, which you could then plug your headphones into.
You can have a look at Soundwire https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.georgie.SoundWire) I have used it only over wifi. But it can stream any audio from your computer with very low latency and it supports Opus at 128kbp which is considered to be (very close) transparent http://wiki.hydrogenaud.ioindex.php?title=Opus). It is a paid app but it is worth it, or maybe someone could make an opensorce equivalent? (I could contribute with 100$ :) ).
Then you could use something like MPlayer Remote (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mplayer_remote) to control your computer.
