Not pure programming, but great to learn how to think as programmer (which is much more important than knowing the code commands) - SpaceChem but even full android version is a rip of pc one (less missions, no story screens between them etc). Anyway, if Hacker require a lot skill in thinking in "the" way, SpaceChem have a lot of tutorials, little steps between new challenges, and may be a good way to learn thinking.
Also try RoboZZle, but this one also require some skills in programming thinking (still without any commands *(well, untrue for commands, but nothing outside the game)).
Anyway, programming is a little about self learning, to make inventions, not just repeating old code, so you wont learn how to code by reading someones else programs. Hacker is great at this moment, but still much harder than SpaceChem. After SpaceChem and Robozzle, try to think about Hacker as a challenge to solve by google and some programming tutorials found on net, not as a teacher itself.
Finally, a question I am qualified to answer.
It is not a traditional puzzle game. Most puzzle games have a singular solution or something approaching it. SpaceChem gives you an input and expects output, how you manage to get that output is entirely up to you, in the most efficient way possible.
It has nothing to do with chemistry outside of bonds and in fact is a programming game.
I legitimately think that a lot of people will be unable to ever complete it, and I'm one of those people (alternatively, I will have to actually apply my CS degre).
This may be more on the puzzle side than the factory side, but maybe Space Chem? There is also a free demo version.
I played this on PC and some of the reviews are complaining that the UI is too small on their phone. So might be better if you have a tablet.
SPAAAAAAACECHEEMMMM!
(it's a bit sketchy about compatibility - last time I tried it would only load 1 in 10 times on my Note Pro. But give the demo a whirl if you like intelligent puzzle / strategy games. It really is unique).
How about SpaceChem by Zachtronics?

I own it on the PC not Android, looks like you need a really large screen or tablet for it.
>anything that is similar to this game that is available on mobile
Spacechem Mobile. From the same developers.
Edit: "This game is designed for tablets with a resolution of 1280x800 or greater. If your tablet's resolution is smaller than this, PLEASE TRY THE DEMO FIRST!"
That was 2011, though. Don't know how today's smartphones' resolutions hold up to tablets 6 years ago.
In addition to that, Spacechem (Mobile)
Transmission is also an excellent game. Free w/no IAP
Not sure just how true to life it is, but I highly recommend SpaceChem. Played the PC version, it's quiet fun. Also extremely challenging after the first "world" or so (gotta stretch them brain muscles).

SpaceChem - a new puzzle with a unique design. You play as a SpaceChem Reactor Engineer, which, using the available source chemical elements, using chemical reactions, nuclear fission or synthesis to create new ones. The game is divided into several episodes, and the episodes, in turn, are divided into stages. Stages are divided into three categories by type — research, production and defence. In the research stages (usually they act as training tasks for new capabilities of the reactor), only o... continue reading on RAWG
