I made a free (and ad free) app to browse the reddit poems of /u/Poem_for_your_sprog!
You can sort the poems by date, karma score and times gilded and search the full text. Tapping a poem once opens the full text and tapping a second time shows all its parent comments.
New poems are available twice a day and downloaded automatically when the app starts. They are stored locally, so you can browse them even if you are not connected to the internet.
Wow thanks for introducing me to this channel this is good stuff!
Edit: piggybacking to share this app that a fellow redditor made, Sprog- which lists all the poems by Sprog: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.almoturg.sprog
Just to toot my own horn a bit: If you use my Sprog Android App you can use the search function to find poems quickly and save them as favorites.
A searchable, sortable collection of poems posted to reddit by /u/Poem_for_your_sprog (aka Sam Garland) with their parent comments. Poem updates are available twice a day (they are automatically downloaded when the app is started) and stored completely locally (i.e. you don't need internet access to read the poems after the first download).
Made by u/Almoturg.
The new website I made for the collection is here.
There's also a link to my Sprog Android app there. That's probably the best way to browse the poems: you can sort them, search the full text and save poems as favorites. And there are (optional) notifications so you don't miss any new ones.
Where did you get that link?? That never worked.
The easiest way to get the app is to just install it from the Google play store.
Alternatively the apk is available here.
Developing a (simple) app! It was just surprisingly easy and convenient. I went from never having written a line of java to all the main functions working in 2 days.
^(It's a free) ^((and ad free)^) ^(app to browse the reddit poems of /u/Poem_for_your_sprog.)
Somebody wrote an app to do just that.
Another great one! Number 1178 according to the Android app
This app has all of his works catalogued, and I believe he has a book of poetry published as well

I didn't know that. I'll definitely be checking it out then.
Edit: Found the app!
Some time ago I made an Android app (it's free, with no ads) to browse all of Sprog's poems and a (auto updating) .pdf collection of them. There are lots of new subscribers on this subreddit since I last posted about them so I thought it would make sense to remind people (I hope I'm not spamming).
The Android app shows the poems with all parent comments, lets you read the poems offline (once you let it download them once), search their full text, sort them by karma/gold/time, save your favorite ones, can optionally send notifications if new poems are available and shows statistics about them. Here are some screenshots.
The .pdf collection also contains all poems with their parent comments and includes some statistics at the end. There's both a large version for printing/desktop and a small one for mobile.
Both the app and the .pdf collection are updated with new poems twice a day.
The code for both is available on GitHub: .pdf collection (and backend for app) and Android App
^(For people who don't want to use the Google Play store the .apk for the app is available) ^here.
There an app for android. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.almoturg.sprog
A book would be amazing. For now though there's an Android app sprog
Not sure if it's useful but you can use my JSON file of all sprog poems (and parent comments). It updates twice a day (at 01:00 and 13:00 UTC) and also includes parent comments that have been deleted after I saved them.
(My Sprog Android app and pdf collections use it as the data source.)
