Its not fake either. Which is slightly disturbing.
App: StarMaker
Privacy Policy: StarMaker Privacy Policy
For those who don't want to read it all here's the main parts of interest: > As part of our Services, we collect and store the audio and video recordings that you choose to make within the Apps while signed into your Account... The video is accessible via the Services through a link on your Account profile to the applicable channel on YouTube. When you save a video, by default the video is set as a "public" video both on the Services and on YouTube, which means that anybody can view it via the Services or YouTube. As an Account holder, you may make a video private on the Services, which will hide this video from other users of the Services and semi-hide it from YouTube users... Deleting a video from the Services makes such video inaccessible thereafter through the Services, and will make the video private on YouTube (such that only Starmaker will be able to access it)... Again, by default, all audio and video recordings made and saved by you through the Services are available for public viewing on both the Services and the Starmaker owned channel(s) on YouTube. We strongly caution you that if you do not want video or audio recordings made via the Services to appear in the public domain, DO NOT save them to your Account.

It looks like based on your profile settings you can disable this, but both audio and video recordings are public by default. Another note, the privacy policy says it only collects video if the user chooses to take video during a session. I don't think this is happening secretly, I think this is just someone who thought the video would remain private.
edit: I want to make it clear that I am in no way condoning the actions of this company, I personally think this is deplorable. I just wanted to add factual information to the comments as to aide in discussion. I didn't want this to become a mindless pitchfork mob without some facts behind it.
