Tracked items are a simple yes/no by default, just check the "multiple entries per day" box when you create it and it becomes a simple counter (long press to decrease the counter). Tickmate will also graph your tally marks for you.

I've been using Tickmate for months, and I quite like it. It's an android app, and I use it to track things like: Did I floss today, how many sodas have I had, did I do housework, etc. You can find it on the Play store. It's open source, and it's also available on F-Droid.
