I use transmission-daemon on my VM server that uses a VPN to a geolocated endpoint. Use the transmission-remote on my desktops for easy upload of .torrent or magnet links. I use https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.yupol.transmissionremote.app as my android client.

Although I usually manage it from Transmission Remote on Windows, this one for Android has been good also.

Transmission Remote GUI provides plenty of features. If you're using an Android device, Transmission Remote and Transdrone are good options.

Transdrone does not have that particular feature but the Transmission Remote app does. I have both of them installed.

Get a Western Digital MyCloud HDD, enable ssh, install transmission bittorrent client, remote control it via phone.

I'm not sure about iOS app, but since for Android there are plenty of them, I assume something should be available for iPhone as well.
