I don't know of any widgets, but there is the Twitch Plays Pokemon Notifier that does the updates as notifications. I used to use it a lot back in the old runs. It's currently on the PBR live updater stream though. I just shot the developer an email so hopefully it'll be fixed soon.
Edit: 30 minutes or less! The app's developer just responded and got it all fixed! Looks like it was set to watch for the new live updater to be linked in the old one and it didn't quite grab it when it was posted. It's working now though!
