If you have a smartphone, Virginia Tech made a good tree identification app. Android Link.
I've had a lot of luck with this application when it comes to identifying trees on my property.
If you're in the U.S., Wildflower Search is good for when things are in flower.
iNaturalist is good as well. It's image-comparison auto recommendations are...decent if you take good photos. But it's not perfect. And other IDs are by people, they're usually pretty good but remember that people are fallible. Never use an app or random people identification to determine whether or not to eat something - always back up any possible ID's with your own research.
Virginia Tech Tree ID is helpful for identifying trees and woody shrubs.
