War Cronies is like a modern,WW2 themed Uniwar game (available only on Android for now). Turn-based, multiplayer and requiring actual brain-power and tactics to win. The only included IAP do not play any role in game development or in favouring any of the players.
There's another game similar to this I'd like to recommend: Wartime Cronies it's a multiplayer turned based game similar to this, except free, features about a dozen or so different nations with their own strengths and weaknesses as well as a unique unit. The Dev also gave away an Easter Egg additional nation unlock for Redditors here
