As long as it's not too distracting, I guess. But the game's very quiet in terms of ambience, so I would think this a good area to expand. There's always the slider bar to scale it back if needed.
Checking just now, the game files aren't too large (70mb), so it doesn't seem like there'd be a problem with adding more samples.
In fact, I think it would actually be pretty cool if users could customize something like that themselves. I only seem to recall one Android game ever that let the user modify the graphics & sounds, and that was Xenowar, a cool X-COM-style game.
That is sad it is amazing... There is also an xcom clone from a year ago or so. I will try to find it and link it to you.
This one or the other I believe might work for you:

Like X-COM there is Xenowar! Which is a slightly pared down homage to the original.
Very simple and accessible graphics and an undaunting interface too!
It's got a relatively light weight file size (7-8MB on my various devices) and its really easy to quit and resume progress. You can also just start a light skirmish for the tactical fun of it if you don't feel like the management side of things.
I bought it years ago and its one of my go to games when I get a fresh device, well worth the purchase for me :)
Xenowar is a very basic (and small!) XCOM clone
