I've released my first game on Android just a month ago.
Z-Drag Racing
I've recently reached 1k downloads and until now gained something like 11$. Creating the game took me nearly a year, so, for now I would say it definitely hasn't reached my commercial expectations, the players seems to like it but having it reviewed it's proving really (really) difficult, but that's probably tied to the fact that I haven't cultivated any contact in the press prior its release.
But, in the last two weeks I've received 3 different work offers, so I would say it helped quite a lot putting me on the industry' radar.
Regarding the focus, I personally decided to leave iOS as the last platform, it require a little bit more of effort (and money) to release something on it so I've decided it would be better to have a solid game before thinking about it's release on the apple. In this month I've received a lot of feedback from the players and released a lot of patches, since the last one everyone seems happy so I think I'm going to concentrate on the Windows Phone release, and then on the iOS one.
If I could go back in time I would probably do WP->Android->iOS.
