Also available for pre-order on Amazon (Prime?)
I have the feeling this will be a large pressing and we'll see prices around $12-$15 come fall.
If not Amazon has it too now Hurry Up, We'Re Dreaming (2LP) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005HS00P0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_YYB129CQMQDTPHTBXDZV click the other sellers used/new lower link on Amazon to get it for $25.98
Here's a torrent in case anybody actually wanted that CD.
And an Amazon link for those of us who want to keep things legal.
The mastering on the US 2012 pressing by Chris Bellman is great. The mix isn't all that great, but that isn't Bellman's fault. It kills the CD and the EU vinyl pressing. The barcode is 0 93624 73861 9.
Amazon has it at https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00000JQ0E/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 This is one where you want to buy from Amazon and not their marketplace to guarantee you get the correct pressing.
I think there's some deluxe version left at https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B06XSKTG6V/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 . I don't know if you can order to US from there but anyways. I ordered mine from amazon as a gamble and I'm hoping its the artbook version since the supposedly the deluxe vinyl are supposed to come housed IN the artbook and there isn't any separate deluxe version apart from the artbook one in gorillaz.com.
> The current reissues are pure garbage, or at least I can't seem to find one without excessive surface noise
The 2013 Nevermind Pallas pressing used the same plates as the 2009 ORG release that was mastered by Bernie Grundman from the original analog tapes (same master used on OP's too)
It's usually nicely priced on Amazon, $20.14 right now
This is about the best sounding, affordable, copy that's out there
It's the same stamper from Grundman's all analog master & cut used on the ORG release; pressed at Pallas
I'm new here, I sorted through top of all time to get an idea of things...
I noticed Demon Days has been memed about a lot, and it seems that it is pretty "rare"? or at least was?
My question is, if I just "pre-order" the record off amazon
Is it not the same as the one everyone has wanted in the past?
I know it's sorta a joke around here but I really enjoy the Gorillaz and having this album to listen to would be nice
Couple of options on Amazon btw if you're in the US. A little pricey but if you REALLY want it it's either pay more or wait and hope. https://www.amazon.com/Demon-Days-Vinyl-Gorillaz/dp/B00094ASR2/ref=sr_1_1?crid=EBRCXLEH46TX&keywords=demon+days+vinyl&qid=1641398828&sprefix=demon+days+vinyl%2Caps%2C98&sr=8-1
You can get it from the other sellers link on Amazon for $25.98 here: Hurry Up, We'Re Dreaming (2LP) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005HS00P0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_KNG54WJM8RANA7VC9969 or from music direct for $23.99 here: https://www.musicdirect.com/vinyl/m83-hurry-up-were-dreaming-vinyl-2lp
> As far as I'm concerned, Mike Patton releasing a full album of Saturday Morning cartoon themes is now something I definitely need in my life
I had this back in the 90s and I'm surprised it's not redone/rebooted every few years with some old and new cartoon themes. Seems like an easy cash grab.
The boxset can be ordered HERE for 96,22 Euros.
It says it's not in stock yet, but if you order now Amazon will confirm delivery date soon. I just ordered a copy & I don't mind waiting a bit for delivery. It only pops up available every few months & it's always sold out pretty quick, so get in if you want one.
Appreciate the late reply to this thread but it’s apparently coming back into stock on Amazon. I just picked up a copy! Hope that helps!

ugh sorry I thought I had sent a link with the first post. The price went back up so maybe they ran out of that stock. weird.

Wow. Looks like maybe I just lucked out.
It was here. (Copied from the Amazon app, so I hope the link works). Looks like it’s gone now. I purchased it this morning so I hope it holds up.

My purchase was sold and shipped by Amazon. Not a third party.
Seems the vinyl on Amazon is the 2012 version, which is a different mix to the original and the best one by far.
> Vinyl (October 22, 2012)
You can also check the website on the back cover - the 2012 version says redhotchilipeppers.com, original pressing redhotchilipeppers.net
Ok so about 2 months ago I saw Demon Days pop up on Amazon UK. I bought it. For some reason once purchased it said the delivery date wasn't until May 15th, nearly two months away. I recalled reading on here about there being a lot of bootlegs of this guy around so I figured for €25 it wasn't a massive risk.
Anyway, it finally arrived today. Here is an album I've made of detailed images of the album. I've played it through and it seems to be all there. No locked grooves on Side C. No quietness of the songs. What's interesting if the disc seems to also be in packaging so its not second hand.
I wasn't delighted with how it was wrapped for shipping, it was just put in an old food box and sellotaped. But it seems to work, not be warped. Wondering if anyone can ID whether it's legit or whether I got ripped off. Regardless I think I'm gonna keep it cause it still sounds pretty good.
Again sorry for annoying this sub with yet another Demon Days post I just can't quite see my one fitting the particulars of other posts of reissues/bootlegs.
Amazon has pre-orders up for both Deluxe Artbook as well as Standard.
Same goes for Bullmoose.
Gorillaz.com also has pre-orders (but they say they are sold out of deluxe).
(Amazon & Bullmoose do not charge until item is actually in stock fyi.)
Yep.Although I stand corrected it came out in '12 not 2011 but any way.
EDIT: removed link to the other unmastered version. Sounds like shit too.
would you pay $90 for it? because it was in fact reissued.
it's kinda pricey still, but i got mine free with rewards points, along with the aeroplane flies high. it has the original tracklist/order, is a beautiful box set, and is a better pressing than the original (which i also own).
Oh man, that sucks. I just recently learned that the quality of any remaster is heavily dependent on the individual that actually did it... I narrowly avoided a Nirvana remaster that was basically ear-garbage thanks to Amazon reviews. I also waited on Kezia-X for the same reason. Let the band know (maybe by email?) and hopefully this won't be a $50 learning experience for you.
I'm also super disappointed that the Kezia remaster sucks! Damn. Who does it say it was remastered by?
Edit: ~~And for the record, 45 RPM isn't that strange. The majority of my new issue vinyls are 45, including my Volition. I actually only have one 33 1/3 (QOTSA - ...Like Clockwork).~~ I got these numbers backwards (my turntable has the speed buttons mislabeled)...
Yes, 45 RPM heavyweight vinyl is sort of an audiophile thing, I believe. My Queens of the Stone Age heavyweight 45 RPM sounds amazing (my best-sounding record by far), so it's disappointing that the Kezia-X one couldn't be as well. I was excited when I saw it was going to be premium quality. Too bad it's not premium sound engineering.
That is a pretty impressive reissue. I remember getting that album when I was 13 or 14 as a double CD. I will say that the $90+ price tag on Amazon put its definitively into the category of a very-big-fan-only release.
Sounds like people are getting the new pressing from Amazon now. The only other option is talk with your local shop, just explain the situation and see if they can order a new copy direct from the distributor.
Sorry for the obvious question. Are you sure it's not pure moods? http://www.amazon.com/Pure-Moods-Vol-Various-Artists/dp/B000000WCD
I remember the commercial for this cd and thought it was weird they chose the X Files theme for a cd that was about relaxing. That show was scary and the song was so iconic I couldn't imagine anyone relaxing to that song.
I do want to see them live, sometime. From the live videos I've seen, Anthony seems more like a studio guy. That could be completely wrong, though.
It looks like the vinyl is available on Amazon today! I can't believe it!
