I found a 13” on Amazon that works fairly well, I was running a shorty like OP and reception was too degraded to be useful.

Pretty sure this is exactly what he has: Amazon link.
I got this one from Amazon last week. Haven’t seen a reception difference. $20
Welcome to radio reception hell hole for Tundra owners that want an alternative...
any alternative that is stubby/small seems to have deficiencies... I settled on my 3rd option even though it did not solve the problem of reception but did solve the problem of flimsy antenna that is prone to break .. specially in car wash.
This is the one I settled on

I'm not sure what leveling kit the shop used, they just have their standard brand they always use. I haven't noticed any ride difference to do with the level yet, the only difference I have noticed is a bit of wobbling. Guy at the shop said its common with wider tires since they get caught in wheel ruts on roads. Feels like the alignment is off a bit but it's not. This is the antenna I have

This will reduce a lot of the static and interference you receive, but will also reduce the range of reception you receive from your local stations. I know it says for 2014, but it should fit your 2008, the antenna didn't change.
The stock antenna has a multi-purpose design. Increased reception, reduce wind noise and vibration, and act as a height indicator when traversing under objects (if your antenna hits it, the top of your truck will too).

I second this brand, though I bought the 13”. Probably a little longer than necessary but get great reception everywhere, even in dense cities and underground parking garages

I bought a stubby on Amazon for like $20 and it works great. Ill grab the link.
edit: here it is. Surprisingly, still gets good radio reception, despite the shorter length, but i think the antenna is the same length, just more compact like a rubber ducky for a ham radio.
Just get one of these
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07BDKNQWM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They bend almost 90 degrees and reception is just as good as the original.
Replace the old antenna with a shark fin. I promise it looks 10x better. I got this [Shark Fin Antenna](www.amazon.com/dp/B07KZNWX32?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) one on amazon and it’s easy to put on (just unscrew, screw, and stick to the car).
You could go with a mid sized one: I put a 13 inch antenna on mine and get decent reception. Maybe a little weaker than stock, but they have ones that are 14-15 inches. The 13 inch is short enough that it isn’t really visible when driving. this is the one I bought.
This one is great!

You can typically get a very stubby antenna, 7 or less inches long. Or a slightly longer antenna that is like 12-14 inches long. Mine is 13 inches long and looks great. Haven't had any static or drop in range, that I can tell at least. I live outside the city, and have traveled a fair bit. Takes 10 seconds to unscrew the old, screw on the new. I bought it on amazon https://www.amazon.com/Compatible-2007-2019-Replacement-Optimized-Reception/dp/B07BDFQDVJ/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=jeep+jk+short+antenna&qid=1592665461&sr=8-4 see my posts on my profile if you want to know what it looks like on a silver jeep
I have this same exact truck, and I have to say the level and tires make a world of difference. Another cheap and easy improvement is the antenna. I bought this antenna off amazon and it works great and took all of 30 seconds to install.
Very nice, looks just like the one I put on mine. Works like a champ for me, even out in the middle of the forest.
You could do that for the rear with one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Shark-Dummy-Antenna-Decoration-Universal/dp/B00CAJ6O4A
I think the side cams could be DIY'd into the mirrors facing back and to the side. Might be a bit of work with wiring and such.
