If you're okay with leaving the key near the car you could buy a small faraday cage. Put the key in the faraday cage, hide it somewhere under the car, or near the car, and you should be okay.
No idea if this one is good, just first hit on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Upgraded-Faraday-TICONN-Premium-Protector/dp/B07MDF5TX9

I went with the below for my 2014 Tundra. I installed myself with limited grumbling. I'm just using the factory key fobs w/ 3 x lock to start. No complaints from my end. They have a cell mod for another $120. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07VBHNBHS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Start-X makes a very easy to install Remote Start kit.
Some people are having luck with this.
Haha I just had this problem. Basically Toyota seems to be really weird about this, but some have app remote start and others key FOB. My 22 ORP had neither. Amazon sells a remote starter called start x that works with the existing FOB. 200 bucks and about 1 hour of work and is well worth it. I have had it for about a month and I love it.

If you don't care about an app or starting your car from anywhere in the world, this is a good kit.
You use your existing fob. Press the lock button three times and it starts. The distance to remote start is the same as your fob.
Easy to install, only have to take off one or two panels under the steering column, wire it like it says and done. Took me about 30 minutes to install.
I used to have a starter disabler in a car back in the early 90's. Similar to this. Mounted under the dash no one would see it and without the disabler lock key the car won't start.
Damn, that really sucks, hope they find the Cherokee in good condition. Haven’t had that happen, but bought a pair of these from Amazon after reading similar stories from other people. I keep my fobs in them whenever I’m not driving.
I'm having the same issue, and unfortunately mine is under warranty. Bose is willing to sell me the new model for a little over $200, but I don't want to do that since my headphones still work aside from this issue.
So my solution was to do two things: first, I set the standby time on my headphones to 5 minutes to try not to burn through the battery too quickly when it turns on by itself. Second, I just ordered a large Faraday bag to block the headphones from connecting to my phone when I'm not using them.
Certainly not ideal, but I thought I'd share in case others are dealing with this too.

Absolutely worth every penny. Took literally 3-4 minutes for complete installation. Essentially unhook 2 wires and plug them in to the module, and plug the module into the steering column.

I figured that would be the case. Thanks for confirming. Do you remember where you bought it from? I was searching on Amazon and I found this remote start for less than what you paid. I'm wondering if the price for what you bought is less now than it was back then.
There is an aftermarket remote start that integrates with the key fob. It isn’t listed for the cx 50 but it works for several other models and I figure it’ll be the same for it. I’m definitely going to look into getting it in the nearby future once I get mine.

A TJ I used to own had something like this installed when I bought it, wouldn't start unless you had the plastic chip in.

I separate the valet key from the fob and then leave the fob in the car using a faraday bag that blocks signals. I used to just wrap the fob in aluminum foil but I upgraded to this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MDF5TX9/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_dl_FPJNF940CE7F805PW5MX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Remove the physical key portion from the fob and hide it under the car - it will let you unlock the front door only. It’s tiny so it’s easy to zip tie in a hidden spot.
Then put the rest of the fob inside of a faraday bag and hide that somewhere inside the car. The faraday bag will prevent the car from recognizing the key as inside.

It doesn't come stock (in the US) on non-Limited, non-TRD-Pro trims. You can easily add it yourself with $200 and an hour or two of install time (assuming you haven't done this before).
Get this kit: https://www.amazon.com/Start-X-Remote-Starter-Compatible-4Runner/dp/B083CP8514. It's plug and play, no wire splicing, and it uses your OEM remote.
A word of caution, though: just like the OEM start, it'll cut the engine when you open the door, and you'll need to start it again. It's a little bit annoying and honestly I don't use it that much because of this. But if you're parking outside and just want to warm up your truck before you get in, it's a good kit.
This kit has one review which says it worked with a 2022. It's a bit cheaper as well. https://www.amazon.com/Start-X-Remote-Starter-Compatible-4Runner/dp/B083CP8514#aw-udpv3-customer-reviews_feature_div
Yeah, check your fluid, but that's been my experience for as long as I can remember in my 2010 if I just start it and start driving without letting it warm up a little. Once it warms up, it's fine.
It's a common issue. Colder weather causes contraction of the metal in your parts and thickening of your transmission oil. Two things you can do is change to synthetic (I thought the standard trans oil in these was synthetic, but I'm not certain; someone will surely correct me if I'm wrong), and allow your vehicle to warm up a little before you drive it on particularly cold days. Maybe get yourself a remote starter.
This worked great for me.
How handy are you?? because this one is super easy to install and you can find many videos online. No wire cutting just relocating some connectors.

Faraday Cage, or throw your keys in the fridge in the meantime, the battery will suffer a little but it should block the signal, this article from PopSci covers it from 2 years ago.
