If y'all want an inexpensive alternative to the magnetic pallettes, these are what I use in my kits. They're great because they still hold a good deal of pans but take up very little room. And at the price you can get a ton of them for the price of one makeup branded one. I probably have two dozen if them and absolutely love them.
Not a traditional option but I love the ArtBin Magnetic Storage Case. It's cheap, clear, sturdy and a good medium size. See it in action.
Edit: fixed link.
These types of organizers are great. I found this one on Amazon for cheaper than some of the “vape/dab storage” rebrands being offered elsewhere:
You can use something like this: link It's a magnetic craft/sewing case. It's pretty utilitarian with no frills. I have one and it's very sturdy. You could probably glue a mirror into it, or decorate it if you're crafty.
Amazon also has Z Palette alternatives. You might try looking there. I just searched for "Travel empty makeup palette" and a whole lot of options came up.
oh.... okay I thought you were asking about the canister. The packets are separate and you can find them on amazon. They are essentially the same things that come in many supplement bottles or powders.

I've got one of these for paint and a taller one for primers, thinners, etc.
I store mine in a parts & hardware cabinet that has 64 drawers. I bought mine off amazon, $32.72, it is black, but it comes in multiple colors. If you google IRIS parts and hardware cabinet, 64 drawers, target has a white one, $39.99, walmart, $35.99. It is plastic, but durable & the drawers are clear so you can see whats inside. I have 2, & just ordered a 3rd, cause my collection exploded recently. I posted a pic of it a month or so back. Here is the link for amazons

I use a smaller version of this from Amazon. It's smaller and stackable. It does also have a large sized one.
Advantus Photo Keeper Box with 6 Individual Clear Photo Cases, Holds up to 600 Photos (61989) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00K2DREPO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_rpgLAb09PP4A9
Photo storage boxes that hold about 16 or so individual 4x6 cases can work great for consolidating many smaller games into an easily transported package.
I can't draw either. You don't need to with the Bob Ross method. I'm also from the UK.
Buy this and watch this, you'll get a result similar to mine.
I use two photo organizer boxes. Each box has 16 smaller boxes inside, and I have each small box labeled to correspond to a column in the DMC floss chart. It's super simple to keep everything organized without having to deal with bobbins.
Here's a link to the photo boxes I use if anyone's interested.

really if you are just starting the kit that comes with every painting is what you need. If you want extra I would suggest a light pad that makes it EZ to see the symbols. I have this kit it comes with extras and 60 bottles to keep your diamonds. there are other things like better pen cover minders and other things but unless you know 100% you are going to do this long term don't put too much money in trying a 30x30 painting to see if you like this first.
I have a clear Photo 4" x 6" Storage Case https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C8YSWDR/
It holds all cords that aren't used daily (phone chargers that live at their location) and aren't stored with their device (camera charger in the camera bag.)
It's similar to the zip-lock idea, but more ordered. You can label on the spines and pull out a single box.
IRIS has a good set of organization containers. I personally have the 44 compartment and each smaller slot can hold 1000 beads comfortably.

I keep all my parts for all revisions of all projects in one box :P
I’m finally getting enough different parts that a better organization system makes sense. My plan is that “standard” components like LEDs, transistors, and passives will go in this with labeled bins and odd parts will go in a few unlabeled bins at the bottom.
What’s your workflow like? Do you need to maintain a few revisions for each of several boards, and it’s helpful to keep things organized by version?
I use this storage system. It’s DEFINITELY worth it if you’re planning on doing this as a hobby. It makes life so much easier. When I did my first painting, I was working out of plastic bags. That was miserable and made it take so much longer lol.
Something along these lines?
ArtBin 9007AB Super Satchel with Removable Dividers, Portable Art & Craft Organizer with Handle, [1] Plastic Storage Case, Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000X24A10/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_AYFA19J70GC5R8489XJK
Oh gosh that is cute. It does feel kind of small to me. I can’t use baggies because my cat loves them and will run off with one any chance he gets. I use one of these and it works great for me. Doesn’t always hold all the drills of one color but is kitten proof!
I use one of these boxes to hold all my factions cards, banners, tokens and some of the smaller terrain.
For smaller games, a common suggestion is one of these 5x7 photo storage boxes. Combine that with an accordion folder of some kind for boards and you could probably bring larger games along, too.
That is one of the ones I was looking at! I ended up with this one because it was going to arrive sooner.

ArtBin makes a “Sew-lutions Slimline case”, with a magnetic sheet in the bottom. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004SMPK6A/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_H9FV8B95K18YG0AZ1GH5?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Or you could make your own using magnet vent covers from a hardware store, they’re a cheap way to get magnetic sheets.
I’m not sure exactly what Dice Tower storage solution you’re talking about, but a common suggestion for small games is to store them in 4x6 photo boxes like this one.

I use one of these put all the free slaps around it lol
As a vet tech and fellow ADHD sewing enthusiast, this was bad, but does happen, and I way more often see/hear about cats getting other strings and hair ties, all the hair ties! Stuck inside. I think the trauma of this will help you remember not to leave needles, pins, and thread lying around. I have a smaller version of this for my pins, but since you like to have the thread attached you could keep this next to your couch/carry it around to enclose the needle and thread easily. Making it easy to have your needle and thread safely put away really helps a lot!!
Little square packets that absorb the oxygen from the air. Other than heat and light, oxygen is the other thing that causes whatever you're storing to degrade. And they even cause a small negative pressure lock on the jars.
For example: https://www.amazon.com/Oxy-Sorb-Oxygen-Absorbers-Storage-100-Pack/dp/B0028AG8RO
Cold dark place is a great start. If you add a vacuum sealed bag on top of that. it's even better. For the best protection, combine all of the above with an oxygen absorption packet and you will be in good shape for a long time. I see no reason why disty would not last indefinitely under these conditions.
This is just a photo storage box, its a suitcase with 16 4×6 inch cases inside. They each can hold 4 meph style bags with a desiccant pack in it.
