These two options are just a little narrower in one dimension, but meet all the other needs I think

I hear ya about the being cramped and nowhere really suitable to put stuff.
I have a TV stand that was fine for Pro and One X, but no good for these consoles.
I bought a media component tower from Amazon to house them and it works great for its purpose. Not the fanciest piece of furniture around, but it's cheap, looks alight and does the job. I'm in Canada, here's a link for what I bought:

I imagine the US Amazon site would have the same one, or similar. For less $$
You can find some decent corner shelves. Or wall mounts a little stand below the tv like this.
It is an essential oil diffuser. The shelves for the PS4 are just glass shelves from amazon. This is the link:
WALI Floating Strengthened Tempered Glass for DVD Players, Cable Boxes Games Consoles, TV Accessories (CS202), 2 Shelf, Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UB062ZQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_AjzMDb09H1PQV
I bought a couple of these glass shelving units
I like that they look super classy and were easily stackable.
I also have Micca MB42x-C and have been using this https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00T8U6CHS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1 on my sony 65-inch for the past 5.5 yrs without any issues. Easy to install (probably 5min tops) and works well.
here it is, it was on sale for way less when i got it but i got two. they’re great and they have little cable organizers in the back as well but my cords are too thick for it
Since you're using a small and light TV, and space is definitely an issue, you're probably looking at something like an A/V stand/cabinet to keep everything in if you want it all in one place. (Or a sturdy short bookshelf with open back...) If it's NYC, though, you've probably got a decent chance of finding something used if not free.
I bought this, love it. If you want pics let me know:
Floating Wall Mounted Shelf AV Mount Shelf - Holds up to 16.5lbs - DVD DVR Component Shelf with Strengthened Tempered Glass - Perfect for DVD Players, TV Box and Cable Box by PERLESMITH https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071KKLRDT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_2NFXFbAYSDWY4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I bought this: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01HXN4L6U/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It's much nicer looking irl and it's perfect for what I bought it for.
PS5 and Series X are on the top, both vertical. More than enough space for air flow.
Second shelf I've got some cool lights on it.
Third shelf is where my surround receiver is.
Bottom shelf has my Switch and a bunch of plushies
I need to get some of those hats, thanks for the heads up. You recall what media shelf your xbox is on? Looks like a good solution, I've been looking for something to display a few pops and my Scorpio. (is it PERLESMITH on amazon?)
Salamander A5/B Archetype
I got mine on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006VPUMQ
Though if you are handy with some power tools, the shelf is basically just a bunch of MDF with some holes drilled in the corners and then 4 threaded rods and some bolts/washers/
If your tv is floating with no shelf underneath it, you need to float the soundbar with something similar to this.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T8U6CHS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_rAJbEbAYEWZJJ
This leans on the tv so no mounting needed. But it will be on top
Was in a similar situation. Picked up on of these.
Stanley ATS-124 TV Top Shelf-Large Size, 24-Inch Width https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00T8U6CHS?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
Used a couple of small pieces of double sided tape on the sound bar for extra security. Not the most elegant design, but works well, and really don't notice the height after a while
I have something similar to this I bought a few years ago. Works great!
I have this above-TV stand that works amazingly for my center channel. I can even angle the center channel down, and it doesn't require any vesa mounting.
You're welcome for the help. I would always go X if you can afford it. That way when you move them to the garage or spare room you still have great sounding speakers. I have used stands for the front and rear. I'm serious getting speakers out and up will make a huge upgrade. So good for you on getting a set of stands for rear.
Here are some other thoughts for you.
Consider getting a Center shelf $17 to move the center down. It's small but it could make a difference. Of course if it sounds good you can totally leave it alone.
For the fronts I would move them out as far as you can go. I would also move them to the very front of the shelf. This will allow less interference with the shelf and allow port to have more room out back. The height of the mains looks good though.
Another FYI the Pioneers, Elac and Fluance wouldn't fit in your entertainment center like the Micca's do. So I think you're good keeping them for now.
DVD wall mount. Opened it and realized it would work on my wall. I don't feel like going through returns. Come get it for 10 bucks.
Wow, those look perfect for my needs -- I'll google around, but if you have any links handy to similar brackets that you'd recommend, I'd really appreciate it. And thanks for the photo and info!
Quick edit: I found this, which doesn't seem to use the wall mounting brackets; I wonder if it'd shake the hell out of tv...
It looks like this except the glass is more squared, and the square pegs are rounded. I like furniture that is minimalistic and contemporary.
Some thoughs:
I really like the those stands. They do very well with the MB42X. High value product.
You need to lower the speakers by about 3 inches or so. Have the speakers about at ear level when sitting or you can mid screen placement. Either one would be lower than you currently have them.
I would move the movies down and put the right speaker on the other side of the move case. You'll get more separation and no obstructions.
I would consider getting a center speaker shelf $25 to get it closer to the TV. If you don't want to go that route consider angling it up slightly toward the viewing area.
Another redditor bought this wall unit for his UCS Millennium Falcon and it looks really good. I'm about to buy one for my Falcon but I'd wager this would work well for you situation too.
This may be able to accomplish what you're looking for: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00W6L6UFA/
If 27.5" is your height limit, you may be able to get a half inch back by running the stand without its adjustable feet. But the tempered glass top shelf may be a concern if the desk surface does not make contact with all four posts.
I didn't really want to spend $200+ for an AV rack. This one is decent although on close inspection the finishing has a number of blemishes (e.g. scratches or missing paint) here and there. Can't expect much more for the price, but it looks fine from a comfortable viewing distance.
Thanks! It actually isn't even a projector mount at all. It is a wall-shelf. LINK
I ran the HDMI cable and a few other cables into the basement so I didn't need as long of cable.
Can you wall mount the projector? I use THIS "mount" for mine and it works very well.
Yeah I'm looking specifically for a wall mount. I found one I like but it isn't specifically for a projector and can swivel, which isn't necessary here. The problem with this one is it is set out too far from the wall. http://www.amazon.com/OmniMount-ECSB-Component-Shelf-Accessories/dp/B000EGI7V4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1436660029&sr=8-3&keywords=projector+wall+mount
