Get the kid used to a noise machine right away. It'll help cover up the sounds of TV, music, doors closing, etc so wakeups don't occur as often. I happened to use an air filter at first but now use a Marpac Dohm.
I have that and a dimmed red lamp set up. "Turn on/off the sleepy" controls them.
I have really bad tinnitus. Get an old school white noise machine, it’s much better than music.

I have a family history of sleep struggle, including a father who has a CPAP machine. This is what I do for sleep:
- No alcohol.
- Make my room as cold as it can be without freezing to death. Usually I set the temperature to somewhere in the 60's.
- Turn on a fan to have continuous airflow/circulation/additional noise
- White noise maker. This has been one of the best purchases, I use the Lectro Fan
- Don't eat a few hours before sleep.
- Don't nap. I used to randomly fall asleep in front of the TV for 30 minutes after a hard gym workout, but realized that it was making falling asleep at my normal time more difficult. I cut it out and force myself to stay awake until my normal sleep time. If I am tired that day I'll goto bed a little earlier than usual.
And if you can still hear them, get a white noise machine to keep in your room, near the door.
I'm a REALLY light sleeper. Naturally I own one cat who wanders the halls at night, wailing (for no reason at all), and one who runs around like an idiot all night (at 13 years old!!).
Drowning them out is your best defense. The white noise machine is a good start (I like this one). Add ear plugs if necessary.
Talking to them will do no good, since the neighbors already have. Find out your local laws and then file a complaint with the responsible authorities....animal control around here. Start documenting the occurrences of when this is happening and given the neighbors seem tired of it too, band with them to document and file complaints as well.
It's been my experience once someone gets a talking to from Animal Control/local authorities people start to take their barking dogs seriously.
A white noise machine also does wonders to keep random dog barking from waking you.

I live in Texas and we do not have to boil water, we just use filtered tap. If the water in your area is a concern you could use bottled water.
Also see if your baby will drink the formula cold. Ours did and it was great because we didn't have to warm it.

You can! We use the Dr. Brown's Formula Pitcher to pre mix 5 bottles that we send with our son to daycare. Just fill up your filtered water (we do 25 ounces of water, for 5 bottles at 5 ounces), dump in 12.5 scoops of formula (our ratio is 2:1 water to formula), churn it up and down a few times, pour, and refrigerate.
Premixed formula this way is good for 24 hours if refrigerated. Just pull out a bottle as needed, warm, and you're done.
Hell, I even measure out five baggies of 12.5 scoops of formula on Sundays so I don't have to do it every morning. Just water, dump baggie, pump, pour, and fridge.
We also have the Baby Brezza, which we use when we're at home. Perfect bottle in seconds.
Dude, these headaches have been so gnarly. I woke up with my head pounding today and couldn't kick it until around 3pm. Now my system is all out of wack and I'm glued to the toilet 🙄 Glad today is Saturday because it hasn't been a productive one!

I went with the PharMeDoc pillow from Amazon because it has a removable portion to make it from a u shape to a c shape and has a flat part for my arm! That was part of the reason I waited so long with getting one too but this one is amazing !

It has a detachable side Incase you don’t want to be enclosed I guess & a flat part so that you can have an arm under it without the weight of the pillow. I got this and never looked back. Its a camera with its monitor. It’s amazing. Video is crystal clear, sound is great. Even shows temperature. Has night vision. You can remotely rotate or zoom In with the camera. Don’t need internet or anything. The only thing some people might not like is that you can’t get it on your phone, need the monitor. But I prefer it this way because I get to keep an eye on the baby at all times and play on my phone !

The monitor I have has a color bar on the side that gets more red the louder the baby gets. Maybe a monitor w this type of option would work for you. Visually seeing you’re baby on the screen combined with the color bar may help you determine if baby is upset/ hungry or just getting comfy.

I like it so far, the range is good enough for us to go the neighbors house and still pick up the video and the monitor has a battery so we can take it around the house with us.
It's never too early for a pregnancy pillow! My husband bought me this one and it's been great for resting my sore boobs. I'm 5'5 and it's plenty long enough for me, I guess it depends on how you sleep.
I could not use this formula with my boy. It made him gassier than the regular version. I have no idea why it’s more foamy but that lead to severe gas with my LO. As someone already commented I would recommend a formula pitcher to reduce air being incorporated into the formula. I bought this one and it literally saved my sanity lol
I cant do much but tips either so more tips here! If you dont wanna do premixed, get a baby mixing pitcher! This thing makes it quick and easy to make a bunch. I'd make one in the morning and itd last the rest of the day.
Boppy lounge pillow was my life saver. I put the boppy on the floor on top a fluffy thick blanket. Helped me so baby would be safe/come to bathroom with me so I could pee/take quick shower without leaving baby in crib alone. (Before rolling/crawling began)
