Congrats! And normal pillows aren't typically meant to be sat on. You could look into something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Everlasting-Comfort-Cushion-Designed-Tailbone/dp/B01EBDV9BU/
I would definitely get one. I have an office job and I have to sit for multiple hours a day. I have had this cushion for about two years and it’s still holding up. I would also suggest getting up to walk around a little every hour or get a standing desk.

I’ve used that for both my car and desk chair :)
My chair is too large for me and I bought one of those foam seat cushions on Amazon. Now I don't feel like I'm swimming in my chair AND it's hella comfortable!
If you don't have enough money for a new chair, I recommend getting these two things from amazon:
Seat Cushion and Lumbar Back Cushion Combo
Life changing! For me, at least.
I got one of these tailbone relief cushions when I bruised my tailbone, and now I'm just using it for posture and comfort. Anyone who sits in my chair at work says it's soooo comfortable and they want one.
I purchased this one from amazon. I got mine removed last week. I’ve been using it every day around the house and in my car and it works well.
Donut Tailbone Pillow Hemorrhoid Cushion - Donut Seat Cushion Pain Relief Hemmoroid Treatment, Bed Sores, Prostate, Coccyx, Sciatica, Pregnancy, Post Natal Orthopedic Surgery – Firm Sitting Pillow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01LSR1FD4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_jNf0Eb1ECK4SZ
The tailbone pillow wasn't for surgery soreness, it's for the soreness of sitting in bed. This is the one I have. I have no padding on my butt, so sitting in bed really hurts my tailbone.
The kind I got also doubles as just a nice supportive pillow, so it can also be used on your back or whatever. I suggest it!
Good luck! You'll do great!
What about something like this on a chair with lumbar support?
Long car ride ------- ahhhhhhh, may your butt be in bliss the whole time.
ComfiLife Gel Enhanced Seat Cushion car seat cushion
If you have to go on long car trips frequently - say goodbye to the numb butt and having to keep repositioning how you are sitting. I will never drive without it!
I use something like this. Cheaper and easier to travel with. Plus with the back cushion, you may not need rudder extensions.
I ordered her this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HD8B9SP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
to try as some folks in the reviews said it helped with sitting after back surgery. Going to have her try that at home for a week before committing to buying tickets.
A bit of mobility helps from what I understand as it takes pressure off of the area temporarily.
I bought this last week and it has made chair sitting a pleasure again! Total game changer.
Edited sorry for ugly link, I need someone to teach me how to make pretty links.
I would echo a lot of the recommendations above but also get a cushion to make it more comfortable when you have to sit like this one
Limited-time deal: ComfiLife Gel Enhanced Seat Cushion - Non-Slip Orthopedic Gel & Memory Foam Coccyx Cushion for Tailbone Pain - Office Chair Car Seat Cushion - Sciatica & Back Pain Relief https://www.amazon.com/dp/B014F18ZGU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_dlT1_9lI9Fb1S9BS55?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I have one of these at my desk and one in my car. It has helped so much with lower back pain. I can tell the difference on days I don’t use it.
Thanks for joining the conservative forum. Heres a link to a doughnut so you can begin the healing process. We know being a liberal for that long hurts.
I drive a lot and I experienced the same thing. Sitting for prolonged periods destroys my back and tail bone now. I think it’s because I have less natural padding. I got this pillow set from Amazon and it was like magic how well it worked. 12+ hours of driving with no breaks and no pain. It’s made of some kind of gel so it holds its shape very well; no smushing down into a useless pancake even after 12 hours.
I bought one from Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HD8B9SP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I got this thing from Amazon today and it is already a lifesaver for the chair I use for working from home: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B014F18ZGU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I know it’s hard. I’m sorry. If you can take breaks to get off of your tailbone, try. Also if you don’t have a coccyx cushion, I highly recommend one. Amazon has some good ones. I use this one and like it. Everlasting Comfort Seat Cushion for Office Chair - Tailbone Pain Relief Cushion - Coccyx Cushion - Sciatica Pillow for Sitting (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EBDV9BU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_d3hLEb9KRZA58. I have one at work and one at home.
I would get a new chair, but it's expensive and the main issue is my chair doesn't go high enough to reach a comfortable height at my table, so I'm using a cushion to make my seat slightly higher. I have a G20 chair from Global Furniture Group.
This is the cushion: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01N6KTU29/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A2BGAAOURAL9O6&psc=1
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N6KTU29/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
You may have to break it in a bit first. May be a bit firm. As for the feet I have a sit down job and mostly sit anyway. Have a bit of a issue with my leg. i use a pressure wrap or sock. If you are active you can probably get some circulation going with walking and stuff.
I have also found the face mask is really needed for good sleep although I have done without. For a bit when my brothers car was damaged and we went in together my shift started later(2nd shift) so I had to get a good portion of my sleep in the car at work with it very bright out side.
I got a cushion to help with that.. it still gets sore but less and it takes longer to get to that point
Everlasting Comfort Office Chair... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EBDV9BU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I wanted to share the link of the one I bought my husband but it was acting a bit funny. See if this works for ya.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07HD8B9SP/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
If not its a cushion on amazon by a brand called 5 star united. My husband had a simple fistulotomy three weeks ago and was using this cushion to sit at the dinner table by day 3. We take it everywhere including today, his first day back at work, which is all labor work but he used it in his truck to drive. He really believes it has helped him and worth the $50 or so that I paid.
FYI his farts also seemed to slip out at first. We are just over 3 weeks out and this isn't really the case anymore. His fistula involved no muscle for reference.
I present to you my best friend post surgery
I would try to see a doctor if you can and try to get an X-Ray. I also would recommend investing in a coccyx pillow if you think it’s going to be an issue that lasts for more than a week. It’ll help take the pressure off of your tailbone and you’ll be much more comfortable throughout the day. My wife fractured her tailbone and this helped her a lot.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B01EBDV9BU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Did my research and felt it was the best one based on having enough review while also being reasonably priced. I keep it in a re-usable Lululemon bag as it's a bit too big to stuff into my backpack.
I can explain the ass pain from sitting, if it is like me -
They basically field dressed me like a deer - cut around the anal ring, and into the body cavity, removing the end 20 cm of guts and my anus. This when stitched closed left my coccyx [tail bone] unsupported by the wodge of tissues normally found there, so when I sit for a period of time [starts around an hour, depending on posture] which stresses out my tailbone, and causes it to be painful.
I combat this by snipping a lidocaine patch into thirds, and using each third directly over the tailbone to dull out any general pain. For when I am in my car, I use one of theseat cushions that has the cut out for the coccyx.
You need to get a donut pillow and bring it EVERYWHERE with you. This one is really great and helped when I broke my tailbone. Donut Pillow Hemorrhoid Tailbone... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RGVPR8D?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Going through the exact same thing right now (31 yo male). Have you had your hips looked at? I have some anterior pelvic tilt that isn’t helping my situation. I’ve been doing tons of glute/core exercises and also working on lengthening my hip flexors/quads. As for the sitting thing, I’ve found that sitting on a pad (Seat Cushion Pillow for Office... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HD8B9SP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share) in a chair that has really good back support (you should be able to press you back flat against the chair) has helped immensely.
You pay for what you get. $200 is going to be more of the same for what you already have.
The cozy roadie that you linked above or the stealth chairs are both good options. https://stealthchair.com
Otherwise I got one of these cushions and it helps a bit…but I’d still prefer a better seat. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HD8B9SP?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I have the same problem. Bought this thing and it helps quite a bit. Also, because you can adjust the lumbar up, the height difference of sitting on the cushion is compensated for. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B01EBDV9BU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Good luck 🙂
My spouse has chronic pain and fractured their tailbone a few years ago. One of the only things that helped them throughout the day was a tailbone support pillow. They used it everywhere they sat and it helped a lot with the pressure. Ice also seemed to help the most.
By the one you bought was it this one https://www.amazon.ca/Everlasting-Comfort-Coussin-mousse-m%C3%A9moire/dp/B01EBDV9BU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=15NAZNBDRXGM1&keywords=coccyx+pillow&qid=1659331128&sprefix=coccyx+pillow%2Caps%2C233&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5j...?
That's actually the best.pillow on amazon currently but costs double the amount of the pillow I linked previously. I also went to see it's reviews and it were tall great and some said it's really bad and a waste of money. Every pillow review under 30 dollars has negativity I'm really stressed in which one truly is the right one for me been months I didn't buy because of this reason
The one for your legs could be just substituted with pillow, no? I have three of these coccyx cushions: one for my car, for my chair at home, and one for the office. I've been using them for about a year and they've held up in terms of quality.
https://www.amazon.ca/Everlasting-Comfort-Coussin-mousse-m%C3%A9moire/dp/B01EBDV9BU
Stay away from donut shaped cushion. It will make your hemmy worse. Get a coccyx cushion like this.

This guy right here came with me everywhere. Car, restaurants, friend’s houses. Tough to fit into some computer chairs, but great for the couch/recliner.
I've found that work from home call center work can be a good option. Allows me to use tons of heating pads/etc and not put too much effort towards appearance/commuting/etc. Sitting for a long time can be difficult too so getting a good seat pad (I recommend this one Everlasting Comfort Seat Cushion Pillow for Office Chair - Sit Longer, Feel Better - Butt, Tailbone, Back, Coccyx, Sciatica Memory Foam Cushions - Computer Desk Pain Relief Pad https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01EBDV9BU/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_BYECP922TDS3J42K29KQ?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1). Voltaren gel and heating pads for pain; you're so incredibly strong for making it even 2 hours 💪💜. Things will get better; it will take time and medication trials and fails but I promise it can get better!!
I found this pillow to be very helpful for car rides/sitting in chairs.
Hard candies to help with dry mouth if you get UL b/c the bladder spasm meds make your mouth dry. Lots of extra abds pads were very helpful for my scrotoplasty. Portable bidet is a good idea. I used a peri bottle. You won’t need the pump or silicone gel for a while so you can probably leave that at home.

You can get a padded donut for sitting down. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Ergonomic-Innovations-Donut-Pillow-Hemorrhoids/dp/B01LSR1FD4
Around the house, you might have a travel neck pillow (horseshoe style) or a water float ring? You might be able to fashion something supportive out of rice-filled socks.
I often have issues with tailbone pain due to pelvic floor tightness, and I primarily work at a desk. I decided to purchase this cushion and it has not let me down in the ~3 months i’ve had it.
The right cushion makes a huge difference- this is the one you want to get. Without it I still can’t sit comfortably. It was close to 6 months before I could sit for more than 15min. If you can, working from your bed reclined is a good option- this table is great for that. For those 6 months I stood or kneeled exclusively since I couldn’t work from my bed.
After delivery driving was causing me to hurt so bad I almost couldn't stand straight anymore... I got one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07JQ2V33Q/
Still working for me two years later.
You may need to invest in one of these: Everlasting Comfort Office Chair Seat Cushion Pillow for Back, Coccyx, & Tailbone Pain Support Pad https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EBDV9BU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_8H03BSQ7PXP4K26DZ17H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I second quality rubber floor mats. Also like door edge trim to guard against knicks.
And I use a cushion in this shape (no knowledge of this particular one but the cutout makes a bigger difference than youd think https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010TLSFA6/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_dl_0FDS25DJ118SAHBWAAE4 )
As I rarely have back seat passengers I remove the headrests in the back for better visibility.
Not sure if that is what you are thinking of.
Everlasting Comfort Office Chair Seat Cushion and Lumbar Support Pillow Combo, Gel Infused (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07JQ2V33Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_W70FFPRDCMMENEQH633H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Instead of a whole chair, would seat cushions and lumbar support make more sense.
This is the one I use. It’s a little pricy but it has worked so well for me. And I take it everywhere I go. Work (up to 16 hours a day) in the car, fits good in my Dodge Dart, and everywhere else I may go.
If you don't want to buy a whole chair, you can just get a memory foam chair pad for much cheaper.
I bought this one for myself and use it on top of a very uncomfortable hardwood chair and it's worked great for me!
Look for a sciatica seat cushion - it made a huge difference for me. I have this one: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00AE9V3WQ/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_MSYFCJ3BY63QFWXDR7VA
Lumbar support (small pillow or towel behind your lower back) can help as well, but only if your shoulders can still rest on the back of the seat. If not, you either need a smaller lumbar support or a pillow behind your shoulders, too.
I have a cushion that has a cutout in the back for my spine. It's pretty great. I notice a big difference when I forget to bring it. This is what I have: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08HPQVJMW/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_GMM7NN8048MTC6R5DN10
I used this cushion for my tailbone and it's helped me a lot. You might wanna look into it!
Do you sit on a cushion at all? I had surgery in September. Had a wound vac for 7 weeks. And now just packing it myself daily. And I work 8-12 hours a day. I use a seat cushion seat cushion
I also use aquaphor on it to keep it moist and to keep germs out. I’ve had great luck with it so far. I take the seat cushion everywhere I go. And I shower twice a day and wash the area with dial(the orange bar soap)
Can you bring in a back or chair support that you can sit on? Like the ones they have for cars? Something like this
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N6KTU29/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_J26SJ3K91S1Y8XQ43WTX
this baby right here 😍
I sit a stupid amount of hours with my job. This has made such a difference.
I was wondering how I could get the wrinkles out. Thank you. The cushions are honestly the best investment ever. Here’s the link

This is the cushion that I got and I use daily. Take it everywhere I go. And it has worked wonders. I’m still using it four months after surgery and I can sit for 8 hours at work now and be fine.
Take some time to put together a first aid type kit that you can carry with you or keep in your desk. With the types of pain medication that you respond to Tylenol, Alene, etc, instant ice or heat packs, biofreeze/icy hot/voltaren. Basically whatever you need for if a flare hits because you won’t be able to just grab it from the medicine cabinet.
Lunches are terrible for me so I usually eat or or take some pretzels and jello. I know it’s not healthy but I have an awful time trying to come up with things on the fly like that. My family started getting Hello Fresh because of our issues with deciding what to have and being super fatigued. Still need to cook it but everything is included in the bag.
ThisComfiLife cushion is the cushion I have. I also got the lumbar support. Not sure I would recommend the lumbar only because it keeps me set too far to the front of my chair.
Getting a pelvic floor donut pillow for the car ride helped me!
Quick example, there are cheaper options available though:
Donut Pillow Hemorrhoid Tailbone Cushion – Medium Seat Cushion Pain Relief for Coccyx, Prostate, Sciatica, Pelvic Floor, Pressure Sores, Pregnancy, Perineal Surgery, Postpartum Recovery https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RGVPR8D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_A48K3K1W3MJ7TXQEERXB
I have this pain too - it’s so severe that there are days where I can’t walk, especially if I overdo it at work. And then the severe tailbone pain aggravates the sciatic pain - it’s just a cycle of fun all around! 😵💫 My dr said donut/hemorrhoid pillows are okay, but to ideally search for coccydynia relief cushions.
I found this one on Amazon: Seat Cushion Pillow for Office Chair - 100% Memory Foam Firm Coccyx Pad - Tailbone, Sciatica, Lower Back Pain Relief - Contoured Posture Corrector for Car, Wheelchair, Computer and Desk Chair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07HD8B9SP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5MNW5M4TTCAN22ZFAMKS
I’m not going to say it’s been life changing, but it does help, especially when sitting in hard or uncomfortable chairs (or even comfy ones, I’ll sit on it on my couch some nights if I’m really sore)
Yeah, same. My wife got me this little cushion and it helps a lot. Especially in the car

But yeah I'm becoming aware of just how anxious of a person I actually Am lol. Learning to heal though. Just takes a lot of effort and time.
The chair is probably not as important as using a donut like this:
I use one on a super cheap office chair and it helps a lot. A cheap chair without much seat cushioning may be better with this actually because you'll feel more stable in the chair.
You could consider adding a cushion to your seat. If you're stuck on the idea of the extension, then raising your sitting height sounds like the easiest option.
Something like this perhaps: https://www.amazon.com/ComfiLife-Gel-Enhanced-Seat-Cushion/dp/B014F18ZGU
If lumbar doesn't work, try memory foam seat cushion
Maybe a memory foam chair cushion, something like this? A very thick bed pillow might be worth a try too especially if you already have one.
I really like this cushion, I tried the purple cushion in the past and didn't like it. This one is a little weird at first to sit on but once you get use to its comfortable.
Same! This was the seat cushion I got from Amazon last Feb and it really seems to help! A lot of my pain comes from sitting when I have hemorrhoids, so I got a donut pillow to help with that. It sounds like you're doing what you can, but really don't cheat and keep doing enemas if you're doctor advised you to stop.
Have you invested in a donut cushion?
Everlasting Comfort Office Chair Seat Cushion Pillow for Back, Coccyx, & Tailbone Pain Relief Pad https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EBDV9BU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_FDKKYGGVQ73QJXZK3ZYB
You may consider a physical therapist for advice regarding exercises to strengthen your muscles in that region.
Make sure to not overdo it 🤣 i was sooo sore cuz i thought i was a marathon runner, didnt even save that much time either. Buy a seay cushion!! You wont regret it i have Everlasting Comfort Office Chair Seat Cushion Pillow for Back, Coccyx, & Tailbone Pain Relief Pad https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EBDV9BU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_KAFWHZH7S3J7PKSXXS7P?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
If your butt hurts from too much Hannah C Barre classes or from being on the bike for too long on PZE rides, or if you just want your butt to feel nice, I'm OBSESSED with my memory foam seat cushion. I'm sitting on it right now as I type this. The nature of my job has me sitting SO much that this is a worthy and not too expensive investment in my ass. Do your ass a favor and try this.
I sit on a chair all day for work and then game after haha. My solution is a coccyx cushion ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01EBDV9BU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_fabc_Y22NFT85FKWJPCTYC0DG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 ). Perhaps I should design one of these for the diavel! As it stands, nakeds and sportier bikes are comfier as I lean forward more and I don't place as much pressure on the bone...
I find the cutout for the tailbone in the back to be key for lasting comfort. I've tried so many in the past and the comfort level always dropped after many hours.
The horseshoe one was the best for me. This is what I got Everlasting Comfort Office Chair Seat Cushion Pillow for Back, Coccyx, & Tailbone Pain Relief Pad https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EBDV9BU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_6S6QXQ6RNFJY49QQHXXV?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
yeah, no problem.
Like I said it's definitely not perfect. the back rest in the combo is definitely better than the butt pillow. I heard that the singular butt pillow is bigger. Anyways. That's the one. Siting on it right now and it is still retaining its shape and firmness and still relieving my pain same as day one.
All tables 75cm? That's just not true lol I do have the same problem though, even with an adjustable height desk. Bring a seat cushion. I use one at home for my computer chair, so I just bring it with me to work.
This is the one I use, but there's probably hundreds of them on amazon. Works amazingly, no butt pain, no tailbone pain, etc.

Have you had an MRI or CT? I think that would be a logical next step (but I'm not a doctor, just someone who she's them a lot). I think an MRI would get to the bottom of it all pretty quickly.
My gut instinct makes me think maybe a herniation - a hole in the fascia can happen anywhere there's muscle so it's not just an abdominal thing.
Or maybe referred pain from somewhere like the coccyx. I'd suggest trying a coccyx pillow to sit on, even if sitting isn't an issue per se, just relieving pressure in that area could help overall. I use this one but really, anything with this concept would work.

Referred pain can be kind of wild and can make things tough to diagnose. It could be a hip issue (bone spur, bursitis etc). There's a lot of muscles that attach to the pelvis, personally I'd want an MRI to rule out a sarcoma (yes, very rare but you are talking to someone who had one).
That's probably the direction I'd go when asking questions. Follow the rule, if it hurts when you do xyz, then don't xyz as much as possible (at least until you figure out what the issue is).
Hopefully this is the kind of answer you were hoping for here, sorry I can't be of much more help. Good luck, I know it can take a long time to figure out these issues sometimes but it sounds like you are on the right track.
Something along these lines. Mine isn't made any longer. Just don't buy the $15 one you'll regret your purchase.
Sitting is my main trigger for flares since I've been on the IC diet for 7-8 years. (Minus a few cheat or experiment days.). That's why I always bring it up when I see people asking for advice.
I bought a coccyx pillow and use it backwards to relieve pressure on my urethra. I also change from sitting to standing and vice versa frequently. When I was in the office in person Before Covid^(C), I used a sit stand desk.
I also don't wear restrictive or tight clothing. If it touches anywhere along my vulva while sitting or standing, it's going back on the rack.
Nothing lol, you can't strap up a coccyx! Just told me to try to keep weight off it, so sitting on stuff like this is now common for me, as is constantly shifting around in my seat.
I forgot to include the cushion I use. It’s been awesome and I still use it 8 months post-op.

Please take care of yourself and your health. See you soon!
Funny I ordered this one. It works pretty well. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RGVPR8D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I figure this might last awhile, I guess I was trying to figure out what it was to find the best remedy. I will talk to him at my next appointment in three weeks.
Pain happens after standing up for 15 minutes or longer. Yesterday I sat in a kitchen chair without my cushion and I felt incredible pain as soon as I got up. Even now sitting in bed, I was sitting wrong and could feel pain. Is there anything else I could do to make sure the weakness in my legs is not related to spinal cord or nerves?
I guess I am worrying it could be something serious like cancer, silly I know.
I purchased a cushion. I found that I kept rolling my hips back and re-aggravated the injury, the improved lumbar support and seat cushion fixed my sitting posture and prevents me from putting undo pressure in that area. If that's how you got yours.
This is the one I got from Amazon! Its just a nice thick memory foam seat cushion that has the tailbone bit missing so it doesn't get all crunched. Its not perfect but holy moly it does help a ton! The chairs at my work are absolutely atrocious, like to the point I was having trouble walking to my car at the end of my shift. 10/10 will continue using forever.
Morning all,
Quick update on the chair. I started to get a sore butt after about 2/2.5hrs constant flying/streaming with feet off the floor on the MFG crosswind pedals.
Ended up needing a bit more padding for long stints flying so purchased this memory foam cushion/pad.
Only really need it for DCS but its that good I leave it on and it's sorted now. I suspect its how I'm sat and my current cockpit setup that's possibly at fault
Hope this helps.

When I was looking into this, I found that a supplemental cushion enhanced whatever is selected. I asked a couple casino poker dealers I know to recommend what they used, since they literally use it 8+ hours a day and change chair seats every hour.
It generally runs about $40 USD:

Whatever chair you get, that will make it more comfortable.
