I had the same problem, except my skates were slightly too big (in length) and so my feet slid forward and my big toes would hurt. I actually lost a big toe’s nail to it! What I used after that are pointe shoes silicone pads like this But if your skates are already too small in length, that might not be the right solution 😕

That right there is what I recommend to the parents of the kids I teach.
If you feel like you're getting enough benefit out of it to warrant the expensive one, then do it, but if not, you haven't spent a whole lotta money.

I actually just bought it off of Amazon and cut out the hips! I used hemming tape to fold over the sides so it didn’t fray, but honestly because of the material I think you’d be good with just some fray check on the edges.
