I bought one on Amazon! I gotta buy a new one cuz I lost mine
If they're on your arms I recommend this. If you can't buy it yourself say it will protect your arms as an excuse.
I don't know what brand he used, but one of my classmates covered his full sleeve with those UV sun protection / compression sleeve things. He wore white to match our scrub tops. I didn't, like, analyze the fabric up close to see if any color from the tattoos peeked through, but it served its purpose from a distance. Not that any of the nurses and probably most of the patients would have cared about him having tattoos, but...nursing school.
Another student with a half sleeve just wore a three quarter length shirt underneath her scrub top because she was prone to being cold anyway.
Outfit? No i meant just sleeves

I have 8 year PHN on my shoulder and it radiates down my arm to my hand and knuckles. I’ve tried CBD, acupuncture, TENS, Quell, capsaicin, gabapentin, lidocaine...very little relief. I recently started using these arm compression sleeves and they seem to help a bit. Only $5 including delivery if you have prime. Worth a try.
“Ohh this, I got it training archery” it’s actually cooler of an excuse then most.
I’ve worked my share of sketchy jobs in bad hoods, unless you’re tactical GI joe or are paid to fight why worry about it. A bruise won’t make or break a idiots choice to rob ya or try to start something.
Or try these. UV Sun Protection Arm Sleeves - Cooling Sports Compression Multipack Athletic Sleeves for Men & Women - UPF 50 Arm Cover/Shield for Basketball, Running, Cycling, Golf, Baseball & Football https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07RZMTCDW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_FehRFb20M8045
I understand, I have eczema so I often like to wear long sleeves. I bought some of these arm sleeves with no logos which they allow me to wear. Hope this helps 😁

These look like they don’t have a logo on them.

Copper compression also makes some nice compression sleeves if that’s what you’re looking for. They have a logo on them but the logo scratches off. Though they aren’t quite as long as these. They only reach a few inches above the wrist
Amazon has a bunch of sleeves...its a matter of finding the one that will cover it. Maybe this one
Do you have a picture of that tattoo? To see the size?
I'm sorry you're going through this. You can also try wearing compression sleeves under your uniform shirt. Like this:
Have you heard of arm sleeves before? I bought some a while ago and they are absolutely amazing. They go from your wrist all the way up to your shoulder and they are so breathable! It practically feels like you are wearing nothing. This is the link if you want them.
A couple on my volleyball team wore long athletic sleeves like these with a T-shirt. It says in the description that that they’re good for outdoor sports

I use these every day at work. They the go to my upper biceps and don’t ride up at all. Everyone just assumes I’m wearing a long sleeve shirt underneath so I get no questions.
These are the ones I bought and I like them but I will probably also be trying another pair because I saw some that extend to the hand and have a little thumb hole.
I would recommend trying out a sleeve and seeing if it helps at all. Not needed for every person but I'm the same way where the friction of my mouse arm bothers me and slightly affects my aim, and a sleeve has helped just feel more consistent and have less mousearm friction.
These are the ones that worked for me but pretty much anything cheap of the right material that fights tight enough will work
These are the specific ones I bought. They are really good. They don't warm you up at all and are very breathable so you can wear them all the time without worry. They also look cool.
I tried to get used to it too and could never do it. I ended up trying a few different sleeves until I came across these I love them and they come with 2 pair. 4 sleeves will last you a really long time.
I don't have any recommendations for long sleeve shirts, but I do advise these! I bought them about 3 months ago I believe and they are extremely breathable! You can still wear T-shirts with these since they go practically almost up to the shoulder
try to swear more loose fitted long sleeves! that’s what i do, or i try to bandage it and wear a sleeve! i got my sleeve on amazon, i got mine in black so that it would be less noticeable, ill link the sleeves for you— https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085T7121M/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_D9GN13DSXPR6YVQ80RFM
These are what I bought and am still actively using and they are so breathable it's ridiculous!! I'd recommend the black pair because if blood stains end up getting on them, then it will be much harder to tell
Consider adding the UV sleeves as advice to your post. They are significantly cooler than a hoodie and with a t-shirt over them, you won't be able to see scars on shoulders or anything either.
The ones I have are a bit small (Amazon order and seem to be Asian sizing) so they only really comfortably go up to my elbows without feeling too tight but with a men's style t-shirt over them (the short sleeves are longer) they work fine still. And even as a female it doesn't seem weird to wear a men's shirt. Many women i know prefer the cut of them. 🤷♀️

Although they do make whole shirts out of the material too these go with whatever you already own, plus with black ones it isn't going to be obvious if a healing cut bleeds.
I have seen a few peoples SH. I usually wear sweatshirts, but I dont typically care if people see my scars. If I wear a short sleeve, and I dont want to draw attention I just put an athletic sleeve on.
What about wearing an arm warmer? Interesting to hear about I have a metal allergy but most of the time have long sleeves on.
I understand its hard to accept your scars. Don't worry about what other people think, they're from a medical issue. For example, people with surgery or burn scars, some people can be uncomfortable with it but its their own issue, no one would tell someone with those scars to cover up, and if someone dared they would be shunned.
There are plenty of ways to cover your arms, for example arm sleeves like these. I also plan on becoming a doctor and my arm is all fucked up. If you wanna talk dm me. Stay safe.
I can attest to this working well. I have similar sleeves to this:
I noticed in another comment you said you'll be working in a hot kitchen. These cool your arms down when worn, so getting hot shouldn't be an issue. If anyone asks I guess you could say you get sunburned easily, even when not in direct sunlight.
It depends on the franchise.
I’ve worked at a handful of dunks franchises that didn’t give a damn about tattoos. However, the last franchise I worked at was very big on an anti-tattoo policy and enforced covering up any visible tattoos (whether you layered your shirt or bought one of these sleeves.)
That being said, I’d assume if your tattoos were visible during your interview & your manager didn’t mention any policies with tattoos then you should be fine. The particular franchise I worked for that had that policy told me at my interview off the bat.
i got these last year and they work well
Hi! Unfortunately you're right that it's not the best idea to show SH scars at a job interview. They're legally not supposed to discriminate, but sometimes they still do it.
The obvious way to hide them would be to wear something with long sleeves, but if you don't want to do that for whatever reason, athletic sleeves might be a good idea. Something like this if you have it.
If you don't have those and can't get them in time, one way to make something similar is to cut the heels and toes off of a pair of long socks. If you do this, try to make them look as neat as possible, as this is a job interview.
If you don't have a lot of experience with makeup, it's probably best to avoid this technique. In day-to-day life, it would probably be fine, but in a job interview it's best not to risk the interviewer seeing the scars. Makeup can't hide everything.
But again, the simplest solution would be to wear something with long sleeves. Maybe something light if you're worried about overheating.
Good luck! 💙
