I don't know who needs to hear this, but you can fit a queen sized air mattress back there.

I work nights, so I need to sleep during the day.
Right now I have blankets that go over the top of my bed like a canopy and then they drape down to either side. I can move the “drape”/“curtain” on the side of the bed I get out of easily and often have it lifted up so the fan and air conditioning can get in (since it’s summer now but oh wow this is cozy in winter).
But yeah basically I sleep in a blanket fort every night.
They have something similar and prepare available through retail.

This tent isn't mesh. It's made to keep the rain and wind out, which it definitely does.
I am thinking of maybe getting one of the "bed tents", though. They're meant to be used inside for privacy and darkness purposes. I would keep all the panels and "windows" zipped. Obviously it can't be airtight or people couldn't breathe in there, but my thinking is that with a good HEPA H13 air purifier meant for a bedroom it would keep the air pretty clean in there. I won't be sleeping near anyone, and no one will have been in my sleeping area for hours.
this is a tent for a bed. Between this and electric blanket and or a sleeping bag you will likely be ok in bed: https://www.amazon.com/Alvantor-Sleeping-Portable-Curtains-Breathable/dp/B07GGSRJQV/ref=sr_1_17_sspa?crid=1BJP3MKA6E8K5&keywords=tent+for+beds&qid=1666053933&qu=eyJxc2MiOiI0LjIwIiwicXNhIjoiMy40MiIsInFzcCI6IjIuNTIifQ%3D%3D&s=instant-video&sprefix=tent+for+beds%2Cinstant-video%2C93&sr=1-17-spons&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.f5122f16-c3e8-4386-bf32-63e904010ad0&psc=1
They have study areas, and i dont know if its the same for your Uni, but ours had late night hours for the library. Theres no other places for you to sleep. But there are other places for her to study. And good god wtf is wrong with a lamp. Change the bulb color if it hurts her eyes so much (led white ones that are blue will start to hurt. She needs warmer color bulbs). But i honestly only see resistance in your future. Can you put in a request to change rooms? Can you convince her to put in money for this for you to sleep in: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C311XW7/ref=sspa_dk_detail_3?psc=1&pd_rd_i=B08C311XW7&pd_rd_w=c17eL&content-id=amzn1.sym.88097cb9-5064-44ef-891b-abfacbc1c44b&pf_rd_p=88097cb9-5064-44ef-891b-abfacbc1c44b&pf_rd_r=KQDAJRCGY7TQVNFNYXEQ&pd_rd_wg=NaYIi&pd_rd_r=51cb5620-8103-4011-898a-5e33dbd03727&s=home-garden&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9kZXRhaWw
Something like that might help.
Having a housemate can be absolute shit to deal with, but a person sharing the same room as you? Rough.
As others have said, get a bunk bed. I would like to add, get a bed tent for the top bunk and give yourself a little more privacy. Just make sure you get one that's short enough to fit on a bunk.
Try to avoid caffeine late in the day. I don’t have sleep paralysis but people who have purchased this have left reviews that it helps them with sleep paralysis: Alvantor Bed Canopy Bed Tents... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GGSRJQV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Or, hear me out. Bed tent! Queen sized. It's an adventure! The kids will love it!

amazon keeps changing them every couple weeks, it's hard to track https://www.amazon.com/EVEN-Naturals-Mosquito-California-Installation/dp/B01IBQZ5UE
I also used 4 poles and about 30ft of light rope connecting the poles together to give the net something to sit on. that stuff i salvaged.
Maybe a mosquito net for beds. Figure out some way to suspend it above you.

Ear plugs or noise canceling headphones
Make your bed into something of a tent. They have these on amazon but you can diy something with a sheet.
Nooo I’m so sorry! This is what I ended up buying and it has helped a lot. He tries jumping once maybe twice and then doesn’t try again. I’ve had it on for two weeks and now when I do allow him on the bed he doesn’t poo or pee. I’ve also provided more hiding places for him and 2 stuffed rabbits he humps instead, he still tries on me but waaaay less lol

I lived in an apartment that had a roach and gnat problem and this is the only thing that helped. It blocks light really well so I could leave the lights on in my room 24/7 since roaches don't like light. I kept it zipped up at all time so I could feel confident that no bugs were hiding in there. It's expensive, but its so worth it.
I got the net below in XL and it covers pretty much all of my Chevy express with the doors open:

You just cannot post affiliate links. if there is a "?" or "ref" and a bunch of other stuff at the end of the link, just delete everything after the "?" or "ref"
I have this one in Scotland!
It's different from the one OP has but I like the shape of it better personally. Plus it comes with battery powered fairy lights to hang inside it!
I have sensory issues too! Here's some advice: you don't make others bend to you, you do things yourself to ease it for yourself. Get some noise cancelling headphones, get one of those safety comfort box things ( Here's a cheap one to go on a bed https://www.amazon.co.uk/Leedor-Canopy-Shelter-Privacy-Breathable/dp/B07WR6JV9N/ref=asc_df_B07WR6JV9N/?tag=googshopuk-21&linkCode=df0&hvadid=513539615238&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=16689756391043767328&hvpone=&hvptwo=&h... ) Get on with it. You are a massive pain, you are being entitled and risking your BFs business, commissions are important and word does carry. YTA
Something like this might work with your setup.
I'm assuming he's staying in dorms. If so, I can't recommend enough that you get him power strips with surge protection. I can almost guarantee that his dorm won't have as many plugs as he'll want.
Also, if he's staying in the dorms with the typical mattress size (extra-long twin) see if you can get him a mattress pad (cheap egg crate foam or something similar is fine) - it makes a world of difference for comfort.
If he's being placed with a roommate, then something like this privacy cover for his bed would also be wonderful - but it's a little more expensive.
Also, blue-light screen protectors or glasses will help with how much he'll be staring at screens during his degree.
You can also usually just add extra cash onto his student card so he can buy snacks, coffee, etc. This will depend on his campus.
I'd also recommend a lanyard with a keyring flashlight on it. That way his student ID is protected, and he'll be able to use the flashlight at night when he's trying to get into his dorm or another building on campus.
That's all I can think of right now. Congrats to your brother, I hope he has a good college experience.

Do you think this one will work? I don’t mind hanging it from my ceiling as long as I can drape it away when we’re done. I’m just worried about them chewing through the fabric.
These are pretty great. I bought one for a friend for similar reasons and they loved it.
This might come from left field but if you can I think it'll really help to get a mosquito net for your bed If the Amazon ones are too expensive check Walmart or Wish. You can clean your bed before putting it on and you'll be sealed in completely and protected. I think it'll give you peace of mind AND actually keep any bugs off you.
Nta he should get a tent for his bed:

If it was me I’d just put up a good curtain in that case like a thick blanket or sleeping bag lol
