To piggy back on this post. They also make a big pregnancy pillow in the shape of a 'C' I know I know..... pregnancy? It wraps around you. It is amazing. My youngest is 9 and I can't get rid of it. 🤣 There are lots out there but here is a link to give you the idea. https://www.amazon.com/PharMeDoc-Pregnancy-Pillow-Jersey-Shaped/dp/B01KIQH2VU
> I wouldn't mind one of those without it being covered in weeb.
Here you go.
They are sold under the name "Body Pillow" & contain not even a trace of weeb.
This so much.
Also, I don't know if you already have one or whatever, but what really helped my wife when she was pregnant was sleeping with a body pillow. If your wife doesn't have one already, get her one. She'll see that you two are soulmates. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Snuggle-Pedic-Ultra-Luxury-Combination-Breathable-Hypoallergenic/dp/B011U1LIK8/ref=pd_lpo_vtph_201_bs_tr_t_1/134-5846794-1290169?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=1D0S5MS6P97NFQ2WY3ZY
My entire family is currently using Coop pillows, they feel absolutely great. I've also heard really good things about the Purple Pillow for back sleepers, but the price tag was a bit hard to swallowq
I have a 2014 without powered seats as well, and I had the exact same problem as you after about a year of ownership. Developed some pretty intense lower back pain that wouldn't go away (I have a long commute every day).
I bought this (Amazon - Lumbar Support Pillow). Solved my problem completely. Pain went away and didn't come back.
Best of luck!

I will probably buy one next month in case they change the shell fabric again (RIP combination development)
Love the Pharmedoc pregnancy pillow. I’m also a side sleeper with an arm under the pillow, and the C shaped pillow was perfect.
Yeah it holds up, not as good as my Amazon hotel pillow... THESE are the fucking bomb.
Trust me, I dislike Mike a lot and want to say they are shit.
All I can say is they are overpriced. Not shit, but overpriced.
Also, as I said Mike sucks, but he does pay his workers a decent wage for the area.
I got one as a present from family. It wasn't terrible but the quality wasn't great. It felt like any other pillow you could get from Walmart or Target, and it was nowhere close to the quality of a comparable pillow like Coop Home Goods foam pillows (which I use). Prices are about the same but the quality difference is fairly large.
My wife and I have done the same position for the same reasons. It works. Highly recommend a reading/sitting/husband pillow. Whatever the name is. Poofy pillow for sitting up in bed. Helps support a comfortable position for both of us.
I’ll put a link here just for reference since it’s hard for me to explain apparently 🙄 https://www.amazon.com/ComfortSpa-Reading-Backrest-Cushion-Heartburn/dp/B07GZB5SJZ
I have a 2018 Premier and bought a lumbar cushion from Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Everlasting-Comfort-100-Memory-Cushion/dp/B01IJNJAZ0/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=lumbar+cushion&qid=1558472773&s=gateway&sr=8-5
I am 6'6" and felt the seat really rounded out my back and didn't support my lumbar at all. With the cushion I find it acceptable. Still one of the worst features of the car, sadly.
I’ve got the c-shaped one, which now that I’m later in my third trimester it’s pretty essential to have a pillow with an “escape route” vs the u-shaped (but I think I would have liked the u-shaped more in 2nd trimester). But honestly, if I could give any advice I would just say don’t skimp on anything sleep related. Getting good sleep will be #1 for her for the foreseeable future! That being said, there are plenty of good pillows for affordable prices. She should try a few out!
I got this one.
I bought mine late second trimester with my son and wish I had gotten it earlier. Thanks for the reminder to break it out now! I have the PharMeDoc C-shaped pillow and love it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KIQH2VU/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_FN14CMECJG0J878ZQTRW?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

For the pillow, recently Amazon jp has added international shipping for the 6000 https://www.amazon.co.jp/抱き枕本体-Jオリジナル-DHR6000-ハイクラス-160cm×50cm/dp/B00CFG0B3I From what I hear it is cheaper than going through proxy.
Look for a lumbar support pillow. You're gonna look weird carrying it around but it supports your lower back and it will help with the pain from sitting in the chairs in classrooms. I use it everywhere, car, classes, library etc.
I use this one personally: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IJNJAZ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_0BMJzb92CBH25
Try Tiger Balm. It's another cream similar to icy hot but works better for me.
I have a tens unit from Amazon that works pretty well for a battery powered one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00NCRE4GO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NEMJzb3SXNPQ5
Also an electric heating pad and reusable ice pack or if your dorm has an ice maker like mine a reusable bag for ice depending on what works better for your back.
Get a good backpack. Something with a sternum strap and a hip strap if possible so that the weight is more evenly distributed. Also, I never carry anything other than exactly what I need for class to keep the weight down and try to buy as many textbooks as possible on Kindle so that there's less weight there as well.
A good mattress pad if you're in the dorm so that you can supplement the mattress with one that's better for your back. They can get expensive (Mine was about $100) but it's an investment in your health.
A good pair of inserts in your shoes from Roadrunner, an orthopedic doctor, or a similar store where they mold to your feet has truly helped my pain a lot. I stick them in the pair I'm wearing for the day and I'm good to go.
Hello all! First reddit post here~ I just had some question(s) regarding inner pillows:
I bought a couple of covers on Amiami and was planning on buying either the DHR6000 or CMD9000 on Amazon JP, but I completely overlooked the fact these items can't be shipped to the U.S. I was looking at the alternatives of getting it through forwarding or proxy services, but I'd rather not have to go through all that extra hassle. >< I did see that the DHR6000 and CMD9000 are on Amazon US as well. But from what I read on here, these are resellers and that they cost a bit more. If price weren't a factor for me, would it be ok to buy the inner pillows from Amazon US resellers? I guess legitimacy is the main concern for me and more just making sure that I'm getting the right product.
Links for reference: DHR6000 https://www.amazon.com/Dakimakura-body-pillow-original-DHR6000/dp/B00CFG0B3I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1513668686&sr=8-1&keywords=DHR6000
I couldn’t work without mine to be honest.
This is the one I bought off of amazon, it has over 3k reviews and very reasonably priced. I also bought one for my friend and another for my computer chair at home.
Everlasting Comfort 100% Pure Memory Foam Back Cushion - Lumbar Support Pillow for Office, Car and Chair https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01IJNJAZ0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ECS4CbDMAQCQG
I don't have this specific brand but shredded memory foam pillows are the best. I have a Snuggle-Pedic Shredded Memory Foam Body Pillow and it's the only pillow I've used for longer than 6 months. The difference is that a shredded memory foam pillow naturally contours your head and neck but also can be fluffed together and tall for side sleeping.
I shelled out and got the Snuggle-pedicbecause it was huge & had good memory foam & is made in the USA. My doctor said if I was having pain in my legs & hips to get a good body pillow and it worked, now I just have a hard time maneuvering when I get up to go pee in the night. I previously just used a knee pillow and that didn’t do the trick. But it’s great for resting/naps. I have never used a pregnancy pillow bc my doctor wasn’t too keen on them. They don’t give a lot of support. But if other people have used them and found success with them, by all means listen to everyone.
I bought a bed desk with a laptop stand and a comfy reading “chair” off amazon. I highly suggest for those who have a big family running around.
I recently got this one and legitimately look forward to going to bed all day (both because fatigue is real(!) but also because it’s just so cozy!)
PharMeDoc Pregnancy Pillow,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KIQH2VU?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I bought this one - Amazon has quite a few to choose from.
You can get relatively inexpensive c-shaped pillow on Amazon if you want to test it out. The one I just replaced was about $30ish - this one . Might be a good starter pillow for you!
NTA
He can put up with it in special circumstances. He's just being a petty jerk.
Get a body pillow that he can cuddle until you get to bed for those few! nights a year when you're not up to going to bed early. And Amazon sells covers for those, you can personalize with custom photos.
This is the one I have. I love it. I had to buy a second one because my husband kept stealing it.
I'm 21 weeks- held out till last week and I've had the best week of my pregnancy since it arrived!
I got this one: https://www.amazon.com/Leachco-Snoogle-Original-Maternity-Pregnancy/dp/B0000635WI
If you like the "adjustable" shredded foam concept and just don't want to support the MyPillow guy, I've had this pillow for 3ish years now, and it's still going strong. I've been super pleased with it. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00EINBSEW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_rJWbGb2DR5BEF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
