Super helpful for me was the Big Book of Organic Baby Food. You can find it on Amazon. We also have an instant pot which I used to steam food, and a small little Ninja food processor for pureeing. Finally, these silicone freezer molds are great for making a big batch and storing.

I really love this book from Amazon! I make a green smoothie every day now and it's super easy. They have a lot of great ideas for cutting down food waste too!
Like 1000 yrs ago, /u/Morthy got me this cookbook and I use it all the time! Now I make great kombucha, water kefir and ginger beer!!
I agree with the above. I found that making the food at home was SIGNIGICANYLY cheaper as well. I have stuck to this for all 3 of my kids. Here's the recipe/how to book I like: The Big Book of Organic Baby Food: Baby Purées, Finger Foods, and Toddler Meals For Every Stage (Organic Foods for Baby and Toddler) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/1943451524/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apan_glt_i_YZPDYN8GKNKC8PGWY44W
We just started solids over here! I thought my kid was ready at 5 months exactly but he actually balked a few times and we would give him some days off in between attempts. We’re now offering like an ounce of puréed foods twice a day but it’s hit or miss. We have tried baby oatmeal (hated it every time), sweet potatoes, avocado, banana, carrots, green sweet peas, and prunes because the solid venture has gotten him a tad bit constipated. We also offer 1 ounce of water in a sippy cup after each meal. The suggestion is to offer food like an hour before or after a bottle. We have found an hour before seems to work best, but literally every day is different! I did purchase a book from Amazon that has been super helpful written by a nutritionist. I honestly don’t care about the organic aspect and you don’t have to either but she gives a pretty good guide for when to introduce purées, when to thicken them, when to offer smoothies/finger foods, and there are finger food and toddler recipes. It might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I have found it so helpful when trying to navigate the world of introducing baby food. I suggested it to a friend and she loved it too mainly for the different purée combination ideas. I will include a link if I’m allowed - Baby Food Book
I got this book and found it really helpful. It guides you through stages and has flavor combos and ingredients I wouldn’t have thought to try:

I have gastropareis and have to rely on smoothies for most of my nutrition. I bought two books - Living with Gastroparesis by Crystal Saltrelli and Healing Smoothies by Daniella Chace, MSc, CN.
The Living with Gastroparesis book has a few smoothie recipes and teaches you how to make your own almond milk.
The Healing Smoothies book is available on Amazon and it's actually focused on nutritional support for cancer patients and preventing cancer. The smoothie ingredients recommended in the book have been clinically tested. The author tells you what each ingredient does. I read if front to back and there is so much good information and recipes for smoothies, teas, and juices. Since you have gastroparesis you might have to decrease the fruit measurements in half so you aren't getting too much fiber.

I think it’s more of a freeze at-home book, but I’m aware ofThe Boozy Blender book. There might be a note about modifying for industrial slushie machines though.
Also wondering if you’ve seen this article on the topic from Tales of the Cocktail. Seems that slushie boozy concoctions may be coming back in favour. Though I don’t envy the workers having to service and clean these machines (one of my first jobs in high school was at an arena canteen. Those slushie machines seemed like such a health hazard!). Best of luck. Maybe you will have to write the book after all ;)
Above links go to our blog which has Amazon links by region. People had been asking for region-specific links.
I know most of y'all are already owners, so wanted to share this Amazon review of The Perfect Mix with ya:
I have a Vitamix and this book is perfect to remind us just what this machine can do ...
I have a Vitamix and this book is perfect to remind us just what this machine can do and why what it does is so important - to our health and to our lives. Thank you to the authors for making something that is so easy to read but packed with information. THANK YOU!
Smoothies! The recipes I use right now are from this book: http://www.amazon.com/The-Healthy-Smoothie-Bible-Detoxify/dp/1628737123
My favorite is one that tastes like a pb & j sandwich! It's 1/2 cup blueberries, a few strawberries, a banana, 2 cups of spinach and a tablespoon of peanut butter. So good!
I am awesome!
I need this! An awesome smoothie recipe book. I want to start eating and drinking healthier and I have heard smoothies are the best way to go to get all your fruits and veggies in one spot! A lot of people at work swear by them!
Another good one is Ina Garten's Barefoot Contessa Back to Basics: Fabulous Flavor from Simple Ingredients It is literally a book on delicious basic cooking. No over seasoning or complicated technique. The photography is gorgeous food porn, and she covers all kinds of meals including dinner parties for big groups.
I love all the Barefoot Contessa cookbooks. Barefoot Contessa at Home is my favorite.
My favorite and most-used appliance is definitely my Cuisinart food processor. Not cheap, but it will last forever and she'll use it all the time. There are certain appliances where I think it's ok to go cheap (blender, toaster) but a great food processor makes a big difference.
