I got one of those rice washing bowls from amazon a couple years ago and it really was a game changer for me. I just put the rice in and rinse it for 30 seconds or so, drain out the excess water and dump it in a rice cooker. So easy and the rice comes out amazing every time. I could never go back to instant rice at this point
Did you wash your rice with water til it ran clear?
Excess starch makes rice sticky/thick, remove the excess by repeatedly rinsing/stirring in cold water & make sure there are no stones/debris in the rice itself before cooking.
You don't need it to do so, but a rice washing bowl has been awesome IMUC.
Just get a microwave egg cooker or hardboil them and eat them cold
Or cook them up in batches and eat them as needed
You use a microwave egg cooker to cook eggs in a microwave dude
I use that for breakfast on weekdays
I have been using this one
Really solid performer.
I use this. I have a tofu press for when I want to make crispy baked tofu, but you can also just use hand weights and two cutting boards. If I’m just using tofu in stir fry, I just drain the excess liquid before using it.

He needs this. I bought one for my mom. She used to use to different bowls for cereal.
You can still buy them on Amazon:
The reviews are priceless. Here are a few of my favorites:
"As a Donald Trump supporter, I love eating chips and guacamole dip straight out of this thing while I"m watching Jeb's poll numbers tank."
"Bowls not bad though. I'm using it to contain all my poor decisions. Sorry mom."
"Perfect to cry into after I drop out due to my piss poor ratings!"
"Please clap."

i portion them into these tupperware containers! i did have to buy a 5 cubic foot chest freezer to store them because they don't fit in my normal freezer lol. mine typically eat around 1-1.25 containers a day. the frozen ones do take about a day to thaw in the fridge so don't forget to transfer them ahead of time!
I just use 6oz Pyrex custard cups they're exactly what you're looking for. Cheap, stackable, and you'll use them for all sorts of things in the kitchen. Plus having clear glass can let you see the roast level difference between a few different beans.
While you can just use large soup spoons, or grab some cool colored ones like these bouillon spoons.
I’m meal prepping every week for work for me and my husband. Sometimes I can get really tasty pre-made things from Trader Joe’s (it’s a great little market that is everywhere in the US and super popular on the West Coast). A lot of the ingredients have come from that place. So far I’ve been doing:
Falafels in the air fryer, put that over cauliflower tortillas and included two sauce containers in the lunch container that contain one with hummus or tahini herb dip and one with cucumber yogurt sauce.
Roasted beef slices with gravy, mashed potatoes and roasted assorted veggies (peppers🌶, zucchini, red onions and squash)
Taco salad bowls that contain taco flavored ground beef, pico de Gallo mix, shredded cheddar cheese, fire roasted corn, black beans and guacamole salsa for the dressing because it’s thick and tasty.
Gyro “bowls” containing gyro slices (I find them at Costco or Trader Joe’s), fried slice of Halloumi cheese or feta slice, cauliflower tortilla, mini container of hummus, mini container of Tzatziki and sliced Persian cucumber.
As discussed in the manual for this rice cooker, you only need to wash unpolished white rice. This is because the dehusking process that removes the husk and the bran leaves behind some of both and washing removes these. Polished white rice is already washed for you, and brown, black or wild rice do not need it because their husk and bran have not been removed.
That said, I recommend this washing bowl.
Inomata Japanese Rice Washing Bowl with Side and Bottom Drainers, Clear https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004QZAAS2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_V5MHsU84CKRea
Yah! It’s got a bunch of tiny holes in the bottom for water to drain out, and one of the sides has slits that rice gets trapped by for even waterier rinses.

More than I remember it being, but 20 is worth it for me. It’s so easy to clean and I can just throw it in the sink for a while and let the rice rinse itself. Or use my hands to jumble it all up to super rinse it!
I noticed you're doing a double-clap to get the last bit of grinds out of the NicheZero. There's a 3-armed flywheel that pushes the grinds out when its turning so you'll get maybe a 1/3 of the grinds out when it's stopped.
Wanted to suggest another method that I use. I bought these pinch bowls and used one of them like a plunger to push the last grinds out while keeping the red safety button pressed down to keep the machine turning. Just an idea.
I find these to be just a little too flimsy for my taste.
As an alternative, I’d recommend some silicone pinch bowls like these ones. They are a little more solid and the bowl shape is better for sliding components out of them.
Get a microwave egg cooker like this:
If you have a toaster, toast an english muffin, microwave some eggs, and microwave a sausage patty. Boom, lazy sausage mcmuffin. Throw on some avocado, slice of tomato, spinach or salsa or something to add in a bit more nutrients.
Ya, we’ve been reusing these for like a year-ish.
These are a larger version of the flats cuz the size I use is unavailable, and these are the rounds. The key is to under fill them- I have split a couple in the past but none since I started leaving a thumb nail’s amount of room from the top. But it’s a one time investment because we reuse them.
Looks like they’re out of the 17 oz but have the 25 oz in stock.
Just Crunch Cereal Bowl. I personally haven't used one but I figured I would share it!
I line a custard cuo with an oversized piece of plastic wrap. Pack in the rice, dimple it and add fillings, top with more rice, pull the edges of the plastic wrap together and form/squeeze out air until I get the shape and size I want. Unwrap it, sit it on a piece of nori and game on!
I think this is the exact one I have. Its probably too niche to find in a store unless you live in an area with a large Asian population. You may have to resort to Amazon
something like this for cereal and milk?
I have a sieve bowl. Check and mate!

In seriousness, it holds running water just well enough you can swish the rice around to clean it, then the area near the pour spout helps rid any lingering water when you're done. I think it's okay. Understand though, I cook 4 full cups of uncooked rice at a time. I need something this large to clean it.
Couldn't you just make eggs that aren't scrambled? Hard boiled requires no oil. Neither does this
Nah, I rub it in the rice cooker bowl and pour the water out, then ass more water and rub again, usually 3 times or until the water is clear.
My rice strainer has little riges you can actually rub handfuls of rice on. The water doesnt drain very fast, so I usually swish a little and pour it out
