Avent also has storage cups that are like tupperware that are compatible with the Spectra--you can pump straight into it, throw on the cap, and then throw on a bottle nipple if you don't want to transfer.
Since ordering lactation massagers I’ve stopped getting clogged ducts and my pumping sessions are about 5 minutes quicker
I have a Spectra too. We bought these: https://www.amazon.com/Philips-AVENT-Breast-Storage-10/dp/B00PF841GQ?ref_=ast_sto_dp - which have been great for milk storage in the fridge and limiting the number of dishes to some extent. You get 10 cups plus lids, and 2 adapters so you can pump directly into the cups. I'd also rec getting some extra pump parts. Maymom on Amazon seems to be the way to go from a cost perspective. The Spectra parts are pricey.
Good luck to you and your LO!
Hey there! My LC recommended flange inserts! Check out these from Maymom off Amazon. I like the maymom stuff a lot for my spectra, and it says these are compatible with medela: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07DNYBX8K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_RS85851JHC9RP6E9RJMJ
Or, if you do want the full flange, these should work: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07W8G4113/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZSDR0FWGN5AMAMFY2WTE
If you decide to go the route of discreet pumping in public area, I would suggest using [https://www.amazon.com/Freemie-Collection-Cups-Concealable-Funnels/dp/B00UV6JDN8](Freemie) cups and quiet battery operated electric pump. The freemies can be worn under a loose fitting shirt with just a couple of thin tubes going to the pump.
Keep the breastmilk. You don't need a fridge, an ice pack will keep it cool.
Are you going to be home with baby? If so, don’t worry about pumping daily because you might induce an over supply. As someone else said, the hakaa can catch let down from the opposite side (milk that might just leak anyway). I also like the Milkies Milk Saver to collect let down. I store the collected milk into 1 ounce sticks using the milk tray.
I got these to put in my 24mm flanges and haven’t had an issue since. My nipples were struggling before
Maymom Flange Inserts 17 mm for Medela and Spectra 24 mm Shields/Flanges. Use with Medela Freestyle and Sonata to Reduce Nipple Tunnel Down to 17 mm; Also Fits Freemie 25 mm Funnel. 2pc/Each https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DNYBX8K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_6Z4ZQ5SC2YWZPG7YY0VG?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
What helped me is massaging while pumping and using these boob massages. GAME CHANGER!!! LaVie Warming Lactation Massager, 2 Pads, Heat + Vibration Support for Improved Milk Flow, Clogged Ducts, Engorgement, Mastitis, Medical Grade https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MZD5GVZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_9TE21S2RHPGEN7VMWAKH
My supply didnt get fully established till 11 weeks so you still got time. I also take sunflower seed oil to prevent clogs and had to play with setting on the pump. Turns out i got nipples of steal and have to be on the highest settings. Also make sure you have the right size flanges and replace the duckbills and back-flow protector each month.
I hope that helps. And good luck. And if nothing works its okay. You are doing what you can and thats all that matters and formula never hurt anyone.
Water and oatmeal. And more water.
Have snacks handy wherever you plan to nurse overnight too!
Oh and a milk saver for the other boob is a helpful top. Milkies brand or haakaa
These work very well to just slip into your bra cups. however practice with them first, if you use them incorrectly they will leak! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00UV6JDN8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_Z8xRBbAFN7ET8
I really like these storage cups, especially as they hold 6 ounces, just be careful not to cross thread! Philips AVENT Breast Milk Storage Cups, 6 Ounce (Pack of 10) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00PF841GQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Q4B8X3J6GF65B7SWASQ4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I used these ones and pumped with the small medela bottles :)
Maymom Baby Bottle Thread Changer or Bottle Converter; Allow Spectra S1 S2 Pumps' Wide Mouth Flanges to use Medela Bottles, Ameda Bottles, Lifefactory Bottles, Dr. Brown Narrow Neck Bottles, 4pc https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01EUNA96W/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_VYXKPVQJ9Z064X6TCEQY
To confirm, are these the pads you’re talking about? Anyone know of any sweet discount codes or if they’re available on Amazon? https://www.laviemom.com/products/warming-lactation-massage-pads
Update: amazon link https://www.amazon.com/LaVie-Lactation-Breastfeeding-Mastitis-Engorgement/dp/B07MZD5GVZ/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=la+vie+massage+pads&qid=1618957361&sr=8-4
I ended up getting Milkies Milk Savers instead of a Haakaa. I read about people having problems with suction or baby kicking it off. This is the same idea, about collecting let down, but sticks in your bra. It doesn't have the "suction" part of it, but seemed like less of a hassle to me.
Babe isn't here yet, so we will see how it works 🤞
You may be able to get one of those ice cube/milk trays and just put the little bit in at a time. Like this: https://smile.amazon.com/Milkies-795569774461-Milk-Trays/dp/B00553XPMM/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=frozen+milk+tray&qid=1609882590&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A3KFUTM88PIIM7&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExNDRYQ0wzRldFTEswJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUFETERWTVM3NDZCSVAmZW5jcnlwdGVkQWRJZD1BMDI5ODc1NzNBVzRPNURVNFBKOVYmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl
The spectra is awesome for travel, however that is the one that needs adapter pieces to use the Medela parts. The bottle the spectra is set to pump into is a wide mouth. The Avent, and Dr Browns bottles will fit straight onto the Medela as it uses standard mouth sizes.
The pumping cones for the medela are the ones that fit most handsfree bra's, and quite frankly most common items will fit the medela. However you can order adapter kits off Amazon for the Spectra to use the Medela phlanges easily.
Flanges should be the size of your areola, and this is something they can help go over with you in the hospital.
I am using The Frremie collection cups with the Spectra. I love them as they go under my clothes, and really easy to clean.
If you want I can take photos of the different set ups that I use if you think that would help.
You can buy bottle conversion tops off Amazon so you can use any bottles
Maymom Baby Bottle Thread Changer or Bottle Converter; Allow Spectra S1 S2 Pumps' Wide Mouth Flanges to use Medela Bottles, Ameda Bottles, Lifefactory Bottles, Dr. Brown Narrow Neck Bottles, 4pc https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01EUNA96W?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
I used either Philips Adent or spectra bottles to pump and store milk in, and then switched to the Tippee Tommee bottles for feeding.
Maymom on Amazon does have have an adapter for Dr Browns bottles. I have used their other adapters, and had liked them.

I was right there a little while back!! I couldn’t get anything out with an electric pump but the Haakaa saved me. Just don’t be like me and think ehhh it’s just half an ounce and I don’t feel like going allllll the way to the fridge to store it. Lost so much milk that way :(
I got these jars so I could just add to them throughout the day. Way easier for me than using bags.
I’m glad it’s working for you :)
I loved this thing, which looks stupid but really works, and it doesn't require changing bras.
Yep I’m the same way!
This has been a game-changer for me so my hands don’t cramp from massaging: https://smile.amazon.com/LaVie-Lactation-Massager-Breastfeeding-Engorgement/dp/B079HFSYKX/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?crid=2V1YJPPWD7JV5&keywords=la+vie+breast+massager&qid=1664327322&qu=eyJxc2MiOiIyLjExIiwicXNhIjoiMS44MyIsInFzcCI6IjEuNzkifQ%3...
Also they have warmers but I haven’t used those!
Get these https://www.amazon.com/LaVie-Lactation-Breastfeeding-Mastitis-Engorgement/dp/B07MZD5GVZ they help me out THE MOST and are so worth the spend.
For reference, I’m using them with my spectra S1, pumpables genie advance (with liquid kit flanges), and even my willow pump. They make a huge difference!
Breastmilk storage bags and pop it in the freezer within 2 hours of pumping, use it up within 6 months. Can also freeze them in essentially ice cube trays and then put the frozen cubes in a freezer bag.
These have helped with my clogs. I use these abs then after a while let baby feed on that size and it’s helped. I’ve also used these during pumping to empty the clogged breast
I linked this in another comment, but I have one of these for when I was breastfeeding (and will use it for #2 and/or 3). It's a massager that helps make it more comfortable, work out clogs and sometimes express more milk.
LaVie Lactation Massager,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079HFSYKX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
There is a special lactation vibrator I got for breastfeeding and pumping. It makes it more comfortable, helps clogs get out, and it helped me express more milk. I linked the Amazon page below.
LaVie Lactation Massager,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B079HFSYKX?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
These might work for you:
Milkies Milk Trays, Breastmilk Freezer Tray Organizer, Freeze and Store Your Milk and Baby Food in 1 Ounce Sticks, Includes 2 Reusable Storage Container Trays, No BPA-Phthalates-Dyes, Silicone-Free https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00553XPMM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_0QJYGR66QJ95K5YRQGTA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Sometimes they spilled a bit transferring to the freezer but they were helpful especially if there wasn’t a lot left over at the end of the day. You can pop them out and store in a large freezer bag
Definitely a double electric breast pump! If you're in the US insurance should cover one! Not sure about other places. Don't get Medela, the newer ones have terrible reviews. I had the pump in style advance, it was only ok.
I'd recommend a Spectra S2 or S1. S1 (turquoise) is rechargable so nice for being a little more portable, but likely will have an upgrade fee. You should be able to ask your Dr. for a prescription.
There are lots of wearable options as well. I haven't used any of them but I'm very interested in the new Onatural slimline one that is coming out very soon. Hoping it gets good reviews!
Amazon also had some options! I bought a Ikare pump and liked it way more than the PISA. It was really affordable! And rechargeable. People also like the baby Buddha.
And I like the lactamed pumping strap that makes pumping handsfree instead of a bra. this one
You will probably leak less when you regulate around 14 weeks, so there is some hope. I am not sure if you tried them but there are these: https://www.amazon.com/Milkies-Milk-Saver-Breast-Collector-Storage/dp/B007HYL9TS/ref=sr\_1\_1\_sspa?crid=2R22A6M7OUI2E&keywords=milkies&qid=1650221265&sprefix=milkies%2Caps%2C179&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&smid=A3KFUTM88PIIM7&s...
Another option is to get a set of collection cups like Freemies or Legendairy cups and just use them with just the breastshield/flange and the cup, without hooking up to a breastpump. Just let the milk collect in the cups and empty as needed (the Legendairy ones hold 8oz).
