An minijack adapter if you don’t have one.
Otherwise, window tint. Shift knob if you don’t have an auto.
Lowering springs give you the look of coil overs for $200-300. It’s one of the best aesthetic mods you can do (they ride SO HIGH) without going full coilovers. You can do it yourself but you need some tools and a couple jacks (a lift is better).
And stickers lol. Anything from the Mitsubishi racing decal for under the door, to objects in mirror are losing. But only a few stickers, not 10.
I want an evo8 spoiler, but any spoiler (a few are eclipse specific) is good. Please no drag racer wing 🤢
Exhaust can be had for a couple hundred bucks, very worth it. It’s like 3 bolts if you can get to them.
Someone mentioned wheels, be sure to check the offset (google it if you don’t understand), and be sure you understand how to get the right diameter (if you get bigger rims).
Headlights and taillights look awesome, but how comfortable are you to pull a bumper, if it comes to it.
Enjoy your baby. Welcome to Club Bubblebutt, population: us.
EDIT: headlight eyelids make it look like a totally different car. Seriously, both styles, huge change.
To get into some more detail, this specifically is the Pioneer MVH-1400NEX. Got it from Crutchfield, so it came with the aftermarket Element plastic bezel/harness. I don’t mind that it’s a little recessed. The install itself was relatively straightforward, but the real pain was the backup cam (and that blasted green and black reverse sensor wire). I flush-mounted an AUX/USB duo from Amazon into the drivers side subwoofer housing, lending more towards the unobtrusive install. The head unit itself doesn’t have an internet connection, but connects immediately via Bluetooth for iPod/Pandora/Spotify, or you can plug in your phone for Android or Apple CarPlay. It also has the option of a SiriusXM input (free on Crutchfield with a rebate). It’s a very intuitive system and easy to use, so I am very happy so far with its performance. Steering wheel controls are intact with the use of a Maestro adapter. Sound quality is great and it ads a touch of tech to my favorite toaster 💙
AUX/USB Flush Mount: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072KGMJ5N/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_CS6cFbGEMY8XS
I used to have this exact head unit. I used the following item from Amazon. Hope this helps.
BATIGE USB 3.0 & 3.5mm Car Mount Flush Cable 3.5mm + USB3.0 AUX Extension Dash Panel Waterproof Mount Cable for Car Boat and Motorcycle - 3ft https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072KGMJ5N/ref=cm_sw_r_u_apa_glt_fabc_9DDJDNK60VMM3TMJRHQM
Hi /u/hale317. Don't know if this will solve your problem, but I bought an S4 last year and bought this from Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017RVHSSQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 on the advice of another redditor and that solved my issue. Good luck.
Yep, the cables exist on Amazon too.
I had a head unit that would accept iPods, and a couple other MP3 player devices at the time, over the AUX/USB port. This was around 2007ish...
Some car stereos have the capability to decode files over USB via the 3.5mm aux input, this adapter is only for use with those kind of stereos. https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Female-Converter-Oxsubor%EF%BC%88CAR-Function%EF%BC%89/dp/B0794R6YCJ
Amazon has a lot of variants of these round USB mounts. 1 or two USB, USB-C, audio, etc. And you could remove and replace the power bank as needed for airport security.

This looks like it might work too. You will have to check the charts for your car though.
I would just get something like this if I ever upgrade to something without headphone jack https://www.amazon.com/Comsoon-Cancelling-Headphones-Hands-Free-Connect-Black/dp/B094FVLHGV/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?crid=33ESW2ZVMT63N&keywords=car+bluetooth+aux&qid=1652367387&sprefix=car+bluetooth+aux%2Caps%2C217&sr=8-10
Ask around and see if anyone you know has a multimeter you can use to test the cable. Or just buy a new one - they aren't very expensive.
If you have even basic soldering skills, or a friend that does, the cable is pretty easy to make. Buy a TRS 5mm cable (with plugs on both ends), and a regular 5-pin DIN MIDI cable. Cut both cables in the middle, match up the wires to go to the right pins (look up the connections needed in the Korg's manual), and solder them together. Test the cable, then use heat shrink tubing (preferably) or electrical tape to insulate the wires. Now you'll have two known good cables, and you can customize the length to be perfect for your setup.
Since you have a factory iPod dock you need this which tricks the car into thinking there is an iPod there. Just note that you have to have at least one song download to your phone. If you have swc they will not work unless you play downloaded music and won’t work on streaming services.
I bought this one
[Upgraded] COMSOON Bluetooth AUX Adapter for Car, Noise Cancelling Bluetooth 5.0 Music Receiver for Home Stereo/Wired Headphones/Hands-Free Calls, 16H Battery Life, Dual Connect-Black+Gray https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094FVLHGV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_X0HCPSYF8KB0DQ2R6NW6
Because it charges with USB type C
would use this then plug the usb bluetooth into it https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Female-Converter-Oxsubor%EF%BC%88CAR-Function%EF%BC%89/dp/B0794R6YCJ/ref=sr\_1\_4?crid=2DP4MHP3VZ3YV&keywords=headphone+jack+to+usb+adapter&qid=1643651863&sprefix=headphone+jack+to+usb+adapter%2Caps%2C93&...
well, the audio from my monitor would be playing my audio from the Switch, my headset would be plugged into the PC like normal
Syncwire 3.5mm Nylon Braided Aux Cable (3.3ft/1m,Hi-Fi Sound), Audio Auxiliary Input Adapter Male to Male AUX Cord for Headphones, Car, Home Stereos, Speaker, iPhone, iPad, iPod, Echo & More – Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I0SI1SG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_90MQNX242V6AMT7A7T2A
Buy the original mini cooper ipod cable part# 61120440812 and connect it to the carpro Bluetooth dongle. Works good on my 2012 r60 countryman CarPro Bluetooth
Buenas! Comprado un bluetooth receiver por usar en el puerto auxiliary. Algo como esto:
disculpe mi español imperfecto
You can use the wires in your picture as speaker wires. You will need a male to male tip-ring-sleeve (TRS) 3.5mm/1/8" adapter cord like this, if you buy an amplifier like the one I referenced before.
thanks. was just thinking about the usb thing. this is my first aftermarket head unit, so hadn't thought that through. just ordered one of these to mount somewhere on the center console for a cleaner install.
Are you searching for a auxiliary cable?, if so you could just buy any auxiliary cable from Amazon doesn’t have to be super high quality (What model of Momentum’s do you have? [1,2,3]) Momentum 1’s are wired from two onward they are wireless. Here is the cable I use : different sizes available -Syncwire 3.5mm Nylon Braided Aux Cable (3.3ft/1m,Hi-Fi Sound), Audio Auxiliary Input Adapter Male to Male AUX Cord for Headphones, Car, Home Stereos, Speaker, iPhone, iPad, iPod, Echo & More – Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01I0SI1SG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_D2H0QJP74KQ33FMYYGRS?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
My first idea was the replace the cigarette lighter with this setup but I didn’t want loose cables or have my phone out in the open, then I remembered about the extra 12v in the center cubby.
This is what I used and I bought the 3ft one. It’s just enough length to make it to the head unit when you go straight past the shifter, under the little cubby under the AC controls then straight up behind to the radio/head unit.
so aux for car audio would be something as simple as this (from phone's 3.5mm jack to car's 3.5mm jack in center console?)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01I0SI1SG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
like would this work fine^?
thanks for your help by the way my friend
The Fiio uBTR seems pretty hard to find right now. Any other good, small, cheap bluetooth receivers? I see this one, but /shrug, I don't know:
https://smile.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Cancelling-Headphones-Hands-Free-Connect-Black/dp/B094FVLHGV
Do you have a touch screen stereo or do you plan to get one? I replaced that whole assembly with this: https://www.amazon.com/BATIGE-USB3-0-Extension-Waterproof-Motorcycle/dp/B072KGMJ5N/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=flush+mount+usb+aux&qid=1624389827&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEyVkgwTDQzQ1VPNTVUJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUExSVpHMjdFM0M5NVBVJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTA1OTgzNTEyWktYQjk5S0ZBWTYyJndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfYXRmJmFjdGlvbj1jbGlja1JlZGlyZWN0JmRvTm90TG9nQ2xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==
It doesn't fast charge, but it does charge and provides a plug-in for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay. I have a fast charger in the other outlet behind the center console for charging.
So if I get the Atom amplifier, plug in the power cable, get a cable just like this one:
Plug one end of this cable into line out behind the E10K, and the other end into the Atom's 3.5mm, plug in my headphones, and I'm good to go?
I've never had such a setup so I'm sorry if I'm asking too many questions.
U don’t need a new head unit. I purchased this for my previous Audi with the same problem.
CoolStream Bluetooth Adapter for Audi and Volkswagen iPod iPhone Ami Cable CarPro https://www.amazon.com/dp/B017RVHSSQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_XZ2SE163AZ7K46WEWN9P
It gives Bluetooth to the car and it just plugs into the mmi cable in ur glovebox
I've yet to find a wired FM modulator that powers off the lighter, they're typically like this one and completely hard wired. Once its installed you never see the device or its wiring, just the aux port you create with it. If this is beyond what you're comfortable installing yourself any local stereo shop that does cars would be able to do this no problem.
It might cost more than the other things you're looking at, but it will ultimately offer not only a better sounding but more aesthetic end result. You're rolling in an Audi man, no sense cluttering it up with cheap electronic junk hanging out of your dash or sticking out of your center console. Look at some of the pictures in the customer reviews to see how you set these up.
You need a module for this. I used this, better options might exist now. PAC AAI-FD4 Auxiliary Input Adapter for Select Ford/Lincoln/Mercury CAN-BUS Factory Radios https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GP4GS0Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_yUZTFbEV4VZKT?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Hmm, I would take a look at getting a 30pin to Bluetooth adapter. I used one for an old Bluetooth speaker that I had a while ago, I noticed no difference in audio quality. Here's one from amazon. I haven't used this one specifically, but it does list the G37 as a compatible car, so it might be worth a shot. There are some companies like GROM or Phoenix Automotive that make full infotainment replacements if it really annoys you that much :).
I bought this
Some people on Amazon complained about the aux hissing but I haven't heard it yet. Although the quietness of it does bother me, I may buy a separate amp/DAC to amplify the signal to the radio, it's frustrating to turn it up to 34 (max) when a couple of notches higher would make it perfect volume for any speed.
