I found it : https://www.pioneerpet.com/product/3075-swan-by-pioneer-pet-premium-plastic-80oz/
Edit: if Reddit hugs it to death, here is another link for it: https://smile.amazon.com/Pioneer-Pet-Swan-Drinking-Fountain/dp/B07GJMSBXZ/
edit 2: Wow, reddit gold? Thank you, this is a first time for me. I feel a bit embarrassed that it's just a shopping link, but thank you none the less.
This is the one I use. I don't think I paid this much though. Really reliable. I tried a couple others and found that they jam.
PetSafe Healthy Pet Simply Feed Automatic Pet Feeder, Dispenses Dog Food or Cat Food, Digital Clock https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VIXRB6O/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_URHpCb70FA3DQ
I highly recommend one of these. We have been using them for 5 years and set them to go at around 2 am. It seems to be the optimal time, and it makes almost no noise! Plus the cats can’t figure out how to get into it.
There's a feeder I got via Amazon, my cat is on wet food only. This feeder has 3 slots so 1 always empty and 2 meals in the others, comes with an ice pack that goes under the tray to keep wet food chilled! I feed my guy before bed and then split breakfast into 2 meals one for 3am and another for 5am so I'm not woken up :)
Edit: link to feeder

I have one. Clean it every 2-4 weeks, refill it every few days and you're golden. My cats love it. Also healthier for them since they drink more water.
Cats don't like their water to be next to their food or to be stagnate for too long.
Something like this might help: PetSafe Drinkwell Platinum Cat and Dog Water Fountain, Pet Drinking Fountain with Carbon Filter, 168 oz. Water Capacity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000L3XYZ4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_00yECb608FBCE
Although if they've gotten in the habit of drinking from your glass it's very hard to break.
We sell it at the pet store where I work. It's the swan fountain by Pioneer Pet. It's available through Amazon.
ETA: Amazon link
my cats did this and i got automated timed feeder to go off at 5 am (when they wanted food) and now they associate the feeder as "the hand who feeds" the first week of having it it was THROWN across the room by my cat trying to open it to get the food out. It works SO well. Programming it was a little annoying but https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AUYLVU8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 something like this.
We use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GEWHNS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Pros: doesn't jam, hides 4 meals so it lasts us 2 days when filled, clock etc. are pretty good, they haven't figured out how to break in.
Cons: the cats haven't disconnected us from the act of the food rotating so they think they need to tell us when it's almost food time.
You might consider getting him a little pet fountain. A couple years ago I bought my cats this exact fountain, and they LOVE it. They drink so much more water now, way more than they ever drank from their dish, and my boy cat in particular has a much healthier urinary tract because of it. The same company makes nicer and more expensive fountains, but the little one I got is absolutely perfect for our use. I actually just ordered a second one the other day so they can have one in the basement as well.
I searched using Amazon, I think this may be close enough for me for $30 bucks, Thanks!
Catit Flower Fountain: 3L Drinking Fountain with Triple-Action Filter https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0146QXOB0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9WXlBbSBZGBXS
I had one of those but my cat kept knocking it over or removing the lid, plus the pump would always make an annoying vibrating sound. I ended up getting a competing product that basically does the same thing without the issues I was facing. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DLXF7XL/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_jY1mFb10ET79B
Copying from above. We use this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000GEWHNS?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

We got ours as a gift, and I couldn’t find the exact one, but this is from the same company and looks to be a new version of the same thing:
PetSafe Drinkwell Platinum or Platinum LED Pet Fountains, Best for Cats and Small to Medium Dogs, Fresh Filtered Water Dispenser, LED Light for Nighttime Visibility, 168 Oz Capacity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000L3XYZ4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_26DQBCRT2XJT5P5DFBXV
A lot of cats prefer to drink running water, it's why I got one of those fountain bowls for my cats.
Cats are really built to get most of their water from their food and are bad about actually drinking water and that can cause some serious kidney problems. And since cats are also hardwired to hide pain unless they're literally dying, a lot of owners won't even know anything is wrong until their cat is already in renal failure. So it's generally best to pander to a cat's pickiness about how/what kind of water they're willing to drink, even if it seems weird/ridiculous. Giving them wet food on a regular basis is also a good way to reduce the chances of kidney-related kitty death.
That got very gloomy 😰 sorry about that. I'm just the type to yell about kitty care cuz I had a friend lose a kitten to renal failure because she didn't know this stuff and I don't want anyone else to have to go through that.
If you do a combo of wet and dry food, they also make one like this. you have to fill it every day, but its easier than multiple times a day. https://www.amazon.com/PetSafe-5-Meal-Automatic-Dispenses-Digital/dp/B000GEWHNS/ref=sr_1_10?dchild=1&keywords=automatic+cat+feeder+wet+food&qid=1622238090&sr=8-10
Not op, but same situation as described.. this is what I have (in the US); Catit Flower Fountain
I got mine at PetCo, if you don’t want to go the Amazon route
They have water fountains for cats. They help to improve their water intake and with the filter can help prevent kidney issues if you use hard water. Also, have their water source away from their food. Instincts tell them that water that’s close to their kill could be tainted, or something like that.
This is the fountain I have for my cat, she really likes it and she seems to drink about a cup of water a day.

Our cats used to do this all the time. Ended up getting them one of these because I was worried they weren’t getting enough water. https://www.amazon.com/PetSafe-Drinkwell-Original-Fountain-Filtered/dp/B00063446M
They love it! They no longer beg to have the facet turned on.
I had the same issue and bought the Cate mate C500 from Amazon for $50 and it workes great! I would highly recommend; it has 2 ice packs and I set it for 2 and 5 am. https://www.amazon.com/Cat-Mate-C500-Automatic-Digital/dp/B01AUYLVU8/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=automatic+cat+feeder+wet+food&qid=1623191927&sr=8-3
Our cat loves drinking from the faucet and playing with the water, she's flipped a few bowls along the way. We got her this fountain and she loves playing with the water and I haven't seen her trying to flip it https://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-Pet-Swan-Drinking-Fountain/dp/B07GJMSBXZ/ref=sr_1_39?dchild=1&keywords=cat+fountain&qid=1619797056&sr=8-39
Not OP, but for my cat I use an automatic feeder (one of the ones with 5 compartments where only one is exposed at a time - this one specifically(Amazon link)) and split one can of wet food into four portions across a whole day, so he eats every 6 hours. When reloading it, I make sure to take a little bit from the first portion and put it in the compartment that will be immediately exposed to get him off my back (since he comes to beg when I open the can). Also if he gets hungry early, or if he throws up and will have to wait with an empty stomach for a long time, I split the next portion and give him 1/3 to 1/2 of it immediately and that will tide him over until it cycles again.
It took a little while for him to get used to the schedule, but after a while he got used to the amount and the timing and seems to be content without being overfed. I still get suckered into giving him treats though, so he's a tiny bit overweight, but otherwise I'm happy with the solution.
I got an answer for this! I too noticed a while back my cat loved drinking from the sink more than his bowl, and it turns out almost everyone who has a cat has the same issue!
So after some researching it turns out that cats are not fully domesticated (this is why they have such a strong need to hunt) and because of this they don’t drink water the same way dogs do.
A cat won’t want to drink water from a bowl, however if a cat hears running water it’ll kick start their instincts (just like when a cat sees a bird, something inside them clicks) and they’ll want to drink as much water as they can.
Without the sound of running water, a cat will get most of its water from wet food, because they will only drink when they are very thirsty. This is why it’s so common for cats to get kidney and bladder problems.
The best thing you can do is get a fountain for your cat.
There are some on amazon that very affordable, I use the catit water filter. I like it’s design and the way it uses it’s filters. You can also use it without filters, but if you make sure to clean out the water more often. Like once every day or so.
You’ll also have to keep an eye on the fountain, they’ll need to be cleaned often because if it it can get mold.
It’s a little bit more work, but it’s a HUGE difference. My cats drink so much water, it even reduced the stench of their urine.
Please consider doing this for your cat, and spreading the awareness. This alone can make your cat live so much longer and healthier.
It’s a pet drinking fountain! I found something similar on amazon maybe you can check it out,
I got it off Amazon! Pioneer Pet Swan Pet Drinking Fountain: 80oz Water Capacity https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GJMSBXZ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_0mb3FbDKSZSM6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 it’s one of the smallest ones I saw that still kept water in the bottom. Very easy to put together, simple design and the flow is very gentle so she doesn’t seem startled or put off by it.
I have the Drinkwell Original I ordered from Amazon. Its only $30 and I'm happy with it. It took a couple days for our cat to get used to it but now he is fine with it.
They sell small pet fountains on Amazon, they’re normally for water bowls but small birds love taking baths in them!! Here
Agreed. An auto-feeder is where it's at. Eventually the cat will realize that you aren't the source of food, and will stop hassling you for it.
I have this one (one for each of my two cats). It's also nice because you can be very precise about how much food they get, so no overeating!
