I wound up buying the vive link box and haven’t looked back. It’s waaay more expensive now but it was less than $50 when I got it. Only have to reconnect hdmi once in a blue moon.

You will need a usb a to a cable and a power adapter as well.
Not sure about that but this is the one I ordered. I've never had to use the spare in 3 years and it has held up well. Definitely gets your eyes close to the lenses.

I had the same problem with my Vive. First, I tried to replace the cable with the 3-in-1 and it did not fix the problem.
For me it was the link box that fixed it for me. $30 on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/HTC-Vive-Link-Box/dp/B01LXR6DKV/
If you're careful and willing to take a bit of time you can replace the screen on the OPO pretty easily for ~$30.
Amazon link to screen (if you use this you can stop at step 9 of the iFixit guide)
It looks and operates same as the stock one.
I got this one on amazon: Middle Frame for Oneplus One LCD Display Touch Screen Assembly with Screen Digitizer Replacement Parts + Install Tools https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00V9UBOSW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_Aey1utnXquJiT
And followed this guide: https://youtu.be/uCka8Eg_Vqo
I had a trouble getting the volume up/down buttons off and ended up breaking them. Other than that everything went fine per the guide. Just be sure you get under the wire/pad with some small tweezers and you'll be OK. I pulled too hard on the wire.
No, it also has an DP input. See this pic: https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/4elfhk/powered_hdmi_and_usb_breakout_box_can_you_find/
It's #4 on that diagram. So that can be DP->DP (Vive box), then the output side of the Vive box is HDMI. I use this setup with my Rift because HDMI is a shitty connector and tends to break or bend pins. DP doesn't have that problem. The only reason they all use HDMI is for copy protection, it's an genuinely awful standard.
BTW: It's possible to buy these Vive breakout boxes standalone from Amazon, so it's an OK solution. I'm fairly sure at this point that the blackout problem is because Rift draws too much power, and is not a bandwidth problem.

Seconded. If this is the one I got, then it comes with a second pleather piece. You can swap them between players and wipe them down with antiseptic. The pleather doesn't sweat like leather would and I really life the cloth. Since you're demoing on Friday, I'd recommend the $50 Amazon bundle (same thing but prime shipping. With the shipping from VR cover you're only missing out of maybe $14, but for expedient shipping...).
Oculus Rift Facial Interface (Standard Version) & Foam Replacement Set
You have to buy a power adapter.
I bought if off Amazon, and the recommended purchases with the Vive link are the power adapter and male-to-male USB cord; so you'll need to get all 3 for a functional unit.
I replaced all the foam with VR Cover leather for face and DAS. I used a skull cap because it absorbs more sweat then the head band. This setup works for me after playing beat saber and boxvr for 2 hours.

$47 for a new frame/screen/digitizer assembly. I purchased this exact item like 2 weeks ago, did the repair (was also experiencing ghost touches after a cracked screen (and digitizer) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HB1O1DS?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00
(I was looking into this one.)[http://www.amazon.com/Touch-Screen-Digitizer-Assembly-Google/dp/B00HB1O1DS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1429145641&sr=8-1&keywords=nexus+5+screen+replacement] The reviews are mixed. Should I go for the $100 OEM or $50 aftermarket? Bit tight on cash ATM
I have one of these on my Pixel 6 Pro https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B09MDX8TPB Sinjimoru Ring Magnetic Plate for MagSafe Stickers, Slim Magnetic Plate for MagSafe Charger & MagSafe Accessories for All Smartphones & iPhone 12/13 and 14 Series. M-Plate White
Works very well except that the adhesive not made for glass so I had to superglue it and the leakage looks slightly janky - function over form though and I use a magsafe popsocket 95% of the time anyway.
There are no cases that I found. The material of the back of the phone prevents the adhesive to properly stick. Get a skin and stick a ring onto that, it should hold. That is what I did for my fold 3.
For the fold 4 I haven't gotten a skin but I got a pack of metal rings that came with this adhesive patch that helps the metal ring stick to surfaces that it normally would have a strong hold on. The end result is ugly but it works: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MDY421H/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_BJXCYK8EXMA0GS2XJYZJ_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Is this one not a real one? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MDY421H?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
An example would be helpful
I bought a fantom x wallet, which I like, but I want to be able to attach it to the back of a magsafe case. I bought this sticker: https://www.amazon.com/Sinjimoru-Universal-Smartphones-Compatible-Accessories/dp/B09MDY421H/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=19MVM8TXHKVJT&keywords=magsafe+wallet+sticker&qid=1663285974&sprefix=magsafe+wallet+sticke%2Caps%2C91&sr=8-3
but the magnets seem to be facing the wrong way. I won't attach to the outside of the case. It only attaches where the phone should be. Has anybody attached one of these magnetic stickers to anything succesfully?
Used these stickers because they were flush enough to have less lift than the laptop's feet, while having the nub at the end of the ring to keep whatever is stuck to the magnet in the correct orientation.
Edges are not sharp at all and it feels/looks like a finished product rather than a ring of magnets. It is actually a magnet, not just steel like some of the others. I can stick my phone to the side of my fridge or tool box but with this case it is just a tad heavy to trust it on smooth surfaces. With a thin case I stuck my phone to things all the time and trusted it.
I use a magnetic mount in my rig (lifted 4runner) without issue and also have a popsocket mag mount for those rare times I feel that I need it.
The phone will not wireless charge on my OG Pixel stand but will charge the other two generic 3rd party stands I have.
Do not that these magnet stickers do add a bit of thickness so your MagSafe Wallet will not sit right up against your case.
Yes, I do look for magsafe, which like you said is very few. This case tho is MagSafe. With other cases, I've slapped this on https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MDY421H/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_NV3PVZT6QTZZNBGQ0AP0
Magsafe magnetic sticker.
try this Sinjimoru ring. I was going to use it on the bare naked phone, but I decided to get a Spigen thin fit green color and it sticks on well and hasn't come off so far. it does have magnets so it isn't just a metal ring so there might be some interference with the S-pen, so far with my case there isn't any interference at all or if there is its very minimal. it also comes with a sticky pad that isn't at all thick that helps with adhesion to glass, etched glass I think, and then on the sticker itself you put the ring on it. haven't tested yet since I decided to put it on the case but I think it should work. also if you have any mag safe accessory attached then there will be interference with the S-Pen. just remove the accessory if you need to use the pen. also it will detect the pen as unpaired/lost if you reboot with an accessory. just remove the accessory and it should detect the pen again.
So, as for the strap case, I fucking love this case. Like by far my favorite case. Love the silicone. Love the strap. Only down side is I can’t add MagSafe or anything to it.
The clear kickstand eh. Just a normal clear case. Kickstand is super study and nice.
Then the leather. Very tight fit. Buttons feel like metal and are very tactile. Very comfy case overall.
I added a MagSafe sticker to that case.

I mainly use a MagSafe pop wallet on my iPhone 13 pro max. So it’s a nice touch.
On the clear I added my oh snap 2.0. Mainly because it’s a phone grip and a MagSafe magnet.

I got this sticker instead. Using other MagSafe accessories with it, mostly the MagSafe Pop Socket wallet. Works great

I got mine off Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09MDX8TPB/
This is the one I bought and it works very well, but there are others you can buy. I just know this one was advertised to work with Samsung phones at least.

My cards also function normally as well. I use wireless charging also without any issues.

I can confirm that I have a hard time breathing through my nose when using the 6mm one, but I still put up with it just because I would rather be a little uncomfortable but have a better FOV. I got mine from Amazon which I prefer because you have more control of the shipping: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HM4QB0Y/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
