A new SIM will almost always be $5 at a store - the size you'd want for the S8 is a "nano SIM" - Amazon and other places even have adapters to use a nano SIM in a micro SIM slot (what the S4 has), so if you kept both as nano SIMs, an inexpensive SIM adapter could offer some flexibility: https://www.amazon.com/SIM-Card-Adapter-Nano-Micro/dp/B00R25GJJW
SIM-locking is to a carrier, not a line, so you can swap as much as you'd like with any AT&T-locked (or unlocked) device and they'll just work.
The only exception would be MetroPCS who matches the SIM to the device in their system and you have to call if you're going to change to another.
Here's a kit on Amazon that has all the adapters
Gold Samdi Brand Nano Sim Adapter and Micro Sim Adapter and Nano to Micro Adapter with a Sim Card Folder and a Needle, pls Place in Wallet Help You Use It Anytime https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HSOUQXM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_lvjBxbS7KEV9W
I thought the Moto E used a Micro SIM. Do you have an iPhone 5 or newer? Chances are you have a Nano SIM and you need a Micro SIM.
If you happen to have an older phone around or know someone who does that takes a Micro SIM, you could take that with you to a Verizon store. They would give you a Micro SIM that you can then switch to the Moto E. Or you can purchase an adapter like this.
You can cut sim cards to make them fit. Going to a nano sim requires a little bit of sanding to make it more slim, but I've done it a number of times and never had a problem.
There are PDF templates that you can download and print to help you with where to cut, and there are an endless number of YouTube videos about how to do it.
Or you can buy a sim cutter if you're not feeling comfortable with using scissors. http://www.amazon.com/Fosmon-Nano-Micro-Nano-Standard-Micro-Standard-Adapters/dp/B00AR1V1WS/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1442249978&sr=8-2
If you need to go back in the other direction and didn't keep the original "adapters," Amazon can help...
>I picked this unit up from Costco a month or two ago.
So that thing is only 24W of light. You should probably add more white light around it with maybe an LED lamp.
>If I cut back those stems and clear away some of the crowding is the plant salvageable?
No, they are not. The bolting stems is really bad and the nutrient deficiency is too far along. Even if you only had each of the issues separately, they would still be unsalvageable.
I would start over and focus on the nutrient deficiency. These nutrients are pretty standard. Ratio in tablespoons is micro 1, grow 1 1/2 and bloom 1/2
Soil I used was happy frog. Same company as the one you have here but not as hot. Not sure how I feel about it though I wouldn’t. You can give it a shot though. No way to learn but to research as much as you can and just pull the trigger when you’re unsure.
if its worth it, you could get a sim card adapter and try it.
I’ve been using GH Flora series.
You can adjust the component ratios based on the growth stage of the plant.

I also bought some Masterblend after I saw it recommended here, but haven’t tried it yet.

So, this isn’t what you want but this looks very easy to DIY. It’s basically a phone SIM card tray remover pin and a silver loop earring.
Sim Card Tray Pin Eject Removal Tool Needle Opener Ejector 10X Pack by iSYFIX for All iPhone, Apple iPad, HTC, Samsung Galaxy, and Most Smartphone Brands https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06X9CTJ68/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_T5P693EX9YCKAJXP2TNH
I will grab a ppm meter. Any that you suggest? Also I'm using General Hydroponics Flora Series:... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09M942WYB?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share For my nutes. They were working wonderfully but I'm wondering if they're too strong.
I use this:
General Hydroponics Flora Series: FloraMicro, FloraBloom, FloraGro - 3-Part Hydroponic Nutrient System, 1 qt. Bottles https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09M942WYB/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_TBGQ10CHVCE98KHRDA77?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
And everything thrives, including my houseplants and orchids.
Another solution is use a nano sim card adapter https://www.amazon.com/iSYFIX-Card-Adapter-Nano-Micro/dp/B00R25GJJW&ved=2ahUKEwjd_d3r7572AhUTIrkGHZNcA1sQFnoECAcQAQ&usg=AOvVaw2mgV8T4bjCK4CMImNqreMw
Just get a SIM kit like this: https://www.amazon.com/iSYFIX-Card-Adapter-Nano-Micro/dp/B00R25GJJW/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=sim+kit&qid=1634708325&sr=8-4 to use a non SIM in a sim tray that expects a larger SIM.
Yes you can cut the sim down to size with a sim cutter
Cut the sim out and file it down (nano sims are thinner) a bit and you're fine.
The other options are getting a nano sim for it you can go to a VAR and get one and have them activate it for you or order a sim off ebay or amazon or wherever else you get sim cards and activate it yourself online since it has you confirm any changes online you should be able to verify if it's going to drop udp.
I went with a sim cutter and a set of sim adapters if you get any sim adapters be careful with them! they can very easily bend and or break the pins off the sim reader in the device.
I have a nano and use a kit like this one and it works in any device. Right now it is in the full size adapter and a device for full size sim. Never had any issues like you describe.
You can get an adapter on Amazon for about $5.
That way you won’t have to switch again when you get your phone back.
Nah, you cut the sim, then you use the adapter to use it as a full size. I used to do it before with and old phone. Example: https://www.amazon.com/MediaDevil-Simdevil-Adapter-Micro-Standard/dp/B00G26XWDI
If it was the 3 in 1 sim kit, I'd see if they can provide the full card so that it properly fits without an adapter. If it's working though you should be fine.
If you want to avoid the store, this should be fine - MediaDevil Simdevil 3-in-1 SIM Card Adapter Kit (Nano / Micro / Standard) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00G26XWDI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_.aetzb4WJX2QD
> I have a gUDP on my iPhone. I pulled the sim to put into the T1114, but it is smaller than the sim that was in there, and wouldn't recognize it when I tried to line it up.
I use these adapters with a piece of double sided tape to hold the nano SIM in the adapter:
https://www.amazon.com/SIM-Card-Adapter-Nano-Micro/dp/B00R25GJJW
> iphone 5
The iPhone 5 uses a nano SIM card. Idk what size SIM your jetpack will use. If it uses a nano SIM, then after you get the plan changed to the $15/mo Loyalty plan, you can put the nano SIM in the jetpack.
If the jetpack uses a micro SIM, you will need to order an adapter from Amazon or ebay. I use these with a piece of doublesided tape to hold the SIM card in the adapter:
https://www.amazon.com/SIM-Card-Adapter-Nano-Micro/dp/B00R25GJJW
There are other adapters out there but some don't work well with Verizon SIMs, for instance the Noosys don't. I like the one I linked to above because you can keep the SIM in the adapter securely with the double sided tape. If the SIM dislodges from the adapter when you go to remove it, it can ruin the SIM card reader so it is important to keep the SIM in the adapter securely.
Can confirm that will work. Used that phone as backup when my 5x bootlooped. Not a phone I'd want to use for a long time, but it worked fine. Get a micro to nano sim adapter, or you can just center it in the sim compartment. It worked fine without the adapter for me, but it would have been easier with it.
I have this item from this seller:
It arrived quickly and does what it's supposed to. Don't really have more to say than that.
http://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Folder-Needle-Wallet-Anytime/dp/B00HSOUQXM/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1463812690&sr=8-4&keywords=sim+adapter I keep a set of these around. Super helpful the few times you need it.
Short answer: AT&T uses SIM cards. Take SIM card out of old phone, put it in new phone. Voila. (assuming the two devices use the same size SIM card......)
Long answer:
The beauty of SIM cards is allowing you to switch between devices easily, unlike CDMA carriers like Sprint and Verizon (although they may have made the transition over to SIM card use with LTE).
One thing you need to be concerned about with switching to a new phone is making sure it supports the frequencies/bands of your carrier. I'd imagine you'll be buying an AT&T GoPhone version of the 640, so you don't have to worry about incompatibility with AT&T. It'll work right out of the box. Also, unlocking is only for using a phone on a different carrier than the one it is locked to. Being an AT&T phone, you don't need to unlock it from AT&T to use it on AT&T's network.
Another thing to consider is the size of the SIM card. You'll need a microSIM for the 640, and I believe your Galaxy Alpha uses a nano-SIM. You'll need an adapter.
get one of these and cut the sim cards
Nano, and you can cut it, but if you don't have a nano to use a template, use a SIM card cutting tool from Amazon.
Keep in mind you'll only get one chance to cut this, so be careful! :)
You reqeust them to igve you a new full size sim card and then you cut its yourself
This works and is fully legal. I do it often. I have a MIFI 5510L Jetpack. It does take a MicroSIM vs NANO sim. I have a sim adapter kit from Amazon. So I occasionally forward calls and move sim card into my jetpack. iMessage works over wifi so good there too. Or you can add the Hotspot feature and it's prorated for the number of days used. Just make sure to cancel feature before bill cycle rolls over or you will be billed for entire following month (and credited back automatically)
