Just had a look at those games you showed me and it's not one of them
You don't control any character it is text based just like the old books we got in our childhood. I should look on W95/98 or ms-dos system as i can't find anything on amiga 500.
Gameplay is basically just like these Choose you own adventure
When I was getting into Spider-Man in my early teens this book helped me to understand all the basics of the character and the comics. It's a good overview.

Sing a Song of Seasons: A Nature Poem for Each Day of the Year https://www.amazon.com/dp/1536202479/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_Y9CZGXM1KT75ERZMVGPJ
We determine the date on our calendar and I write it on the dry erase board with them guiding me (we do both the long and short version). Then they help me find the day’s nature poem in this book and read/discuss it. They then pull out their nature notebooks where they can write their favorite line from the poem, illustrate their vision from the poem, or write a poem/excerpt of their own. Their choice. They also write their name, the date, and the title of their work.
This has proven to be more than enough for my same-aged kids after doing our LoE lesson that day (including spelling). It’s also one of their favorite things. They also help me write grocery lists, letters/cards to family and friends, etc. We will start with BraveWriter once they’re very fluent in writing and have the bandwidth for more, as that’s more geared toward them creatively finding their “writer’s voice”.
I wouldn’t buy anything other formal curriculum until you see how LoE is working and you can fine tune any supplements from there.
Amazon! They have other ones too but here are a couple: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Choose-Your-Own-Adventure-4-Book/dp/1933390948/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1549810839&sr=8-2&keywords=choose+your+own+adventure+books
Other than The Children's Book of Virtues I don't have any suggestions- sorry! However have you tried the subreddit r/whatsthatbook? They might be able to help if you don't get any answers here.
I know you said reality fiction, but I want to try The Tough Guide to Fantasyland: The Essential Guide to Fantasy Travel https://www.amazon.com/dp/0142407224/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_omh8wbHMHXSKS just in case
It's a collection of essays that talk about stuff related to Ender's Game and its impact. I haven't read it in a while but it's decent.
Here's the link to the Amazon page for it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1937856216/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_rtpywbRE4R4B8
Marc Tyler Nobleman - author of "Bill the Boy Wonder" http://www.amazon.com/Bill-Boy-Wonder-Secret-Co-Creator/dp/1580892892/ref=asap_bc?ie=UTF8
has done an admirable job of highlighting the factual verifiable evidence of what Bill Finger contributed to Batman.
But nowhere does he say that Bob Kane contributed nothing to Batman, that seems an odd claim to make.
For anyone interested, have a listen to "Fatman on Batman #53: Marc Tyler Nobleman"
http://smodcast.com/episodes/marc-tyler-nobleman-the-fickle-finger-of-fledermaus/
In the episode, Marc goes through point by point, the evidence of what Finger contributed to Batman, and what Bob Kane contributed to Batman.
Well, in the US, it wasn't a genre per se. The brand was "Choose Your Own Adventure".
