The Enchanted forest chronicles. It's about a princess who is not a typical princess, (She bakes cherries jubalee and knows some magic and sword fighting) A friendly king of dragons, a kitchen witch with a dozen cats, and the king of the enchanted forest and all the crazy pressures he has to deal with. These books are amazing, the ladies are strong the gentlemen clever and it's a fun read. Read it to my sons when they were in their middle teens and they loved it.

Ahh thanks for solving that mystery for me. I could have sworn the set I wanted had the three but when I went back to actually order it there were only two!
Looks like there's going to be a (new?) release of the three on March 14th (looks like new artwork): Hogwarts Library $23.91 USD on Amazon.
Inhuman?!?! That’s awful and so terrible someone has said that! I’m so sorry you all experienced that.
Idk about you, but growing up, I spent way more time reading my Dragonology book than ever thinking about sex...I’m happy to be a dragon then 🤣
I think I know exactly what the 2nd book you’re talking about is. It’s called Dealing With Dragons by Patricia C. Wrede. I’ve been rereading it since I was a kid too, and it’s really good.
It also dealt w/ fantasy-style loopholes and dry humor that may have influenced your defense.
Uh yes there is, JK Rowling wrote it back in 2001 you can by it on Amazon here
This immediately made me think of Dragons Love Tacos.
I don't think we are given explanations by D&D. They didn't expand on the lore of the Ice Dragon, either in the show, or in interviews afterwards. At least to my knowledge, I kept pretty up-to-date during Season 8, but I could have missed it.
If you want George's take, I would suggest reading his novella ["The Ice Dragon"](https://www.amazon.com/Ice-Dragon-George-R-Martin/dp/0765378779)
Now my two cents - I think the Viserion's blue flames were not 'fire' but intense cold. If you have seen videos involving liquid Nitrogen, you will be familiar just how destructive it can be. Physical matter gets so brittle, it just crumbles into a pile of dust. If you pour liquid Nitrogen on ice, it gets so cold, it just crumbles if you smash it. My guess is the portion of the Wall the Ice Dragon's 'flames' hit contracted immensely to such an extent, it just broke the ice.
In the first novelization we take Viren's point of view on the butterfly scene, and he remembers how he started doing the butterfly spell to begin with.
It turns out that Soren was very sick as a child, and Viren did powerful dark magic to save Soren's life, and that spell is what scarred Viren's face.
If you're interested in a story that is slightly similar to the premise in this comic, I suggest The Enchanted Forest Chronicles by Patricia C. Wrede. The first book is Dealing with Dragons.
So awesome! I hope you have a copy of this book to go with the theme: https://www.amazon.com/Dragons-Love-Tacos-Adam-Rubin/dp/0803736800/ref=asc_df_0803736800_nodl/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312057607871&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=10587519377020796214&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hv...
I bought my kids the ABC's of D&D and the 1,2,3's of D&D. My daughter actually picks them to read at bedtime sometimes.

The illustrated edition is beautiful but it’s got no connection to the story in the movie. Enjoy them both separately
My first thought was Dragonology, but that only covers dragons. I worked at a bookstore in 2007 and we had a hard time keeping it in stock, it was hugely popular.
You might want to post in r/whatsthatbook, they're good with things like this.
Um I remember the "ologies" series
I think I remember this cover too
One thing I did was ask my mom to investigate and purchase some books that had non-white people in them. She did a great job and we have a bunch that I haven’t even read through yet!
Otherwise, my personal favorite board book we have is called “Grumpy Monkey”, and I’m also getting a real kick out of The ABCs of D&D, which I recommend for any fellow nerd parents haha.
Just search for it on Google or Amazon or book depository etc. If you really can't find it heres a link
Yes! If you're interested in characters' internal thoughts and some additional lore, I recommend it. We particularly get a much clearer look into where Viren is coming from throughout season one. It's also not very expensive especially on kindle.
The enchanted forest series by Patricia wrede. Fun reads, smart girl protagonist, fantasy. This is book 1: https://www.amazon.com/Dealing-Dragons-Enchanted-Forest-Chronicles/dp/0544541227/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=patricia+wrede&qid=1613419460&sr=8-4
Theres a Harry Potter creatures book called fanstastic beasts and where to find them. It dosent have anything to do with the movie and came out when harry potter books were still coming out.https://www.amazon.com/Fantastic-Beasts-Where-Find-Them/dp/1338132318
Such a great idea, I’d love to see a DnD inspired nursery! We just got these 2 books for our LO and I can’t wait to read them to her:
ABCs of D&D (Dungeons & Dragons Children's Book) https://www.amazon.com/dp/0786966661/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_kX1LFbFAKTDM9
123s of D&D (Dungeons & Dragons Children's Book) https://www.amazon.com/dp/0786966688/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_4X1LFbZWY3K9G
Oh my gosh, how cute! Your kiddo sounds really cool (and quite precocious!) If she's interested in this book, she may find Dragonology to be similarly intriguing. I'll admit I speak from personal bias-- I thought dragons were super cool and was obsessed with this book as a kid. I even remember begging my mom to buy me a dragon egg so I could have one of my own ( ꈍᴗꈍ) maybe check it out~
I know this doesn't exactly fit your description, but the antiquated art style, informational text, and low page count line up, so at the very least maybe you'll enjoy it: amazon link. It wasn't old in the early 2000s, in fact, it's from 2003, but, you could have read it in elementary school, depending on the exact time you went.
