He also had another album titled Singin' in the Bathtub. It was my favorite CD as a kid. It was my first exposure to John Lithgow AND to a lot of the songs on there, so it's been a bit of a trip seeing...other sides of this career lol
Not sure if you have amazon prime but they have baby music albums of Metallica, Judas Priest, LED Zepplin and more. They only play the melody, but it’s a nice alternative to the standard lullabies. rockabye
The Hologram one is still for sale, that one is not limited in number. I doubt it will be around forever though so be sure to jump on and grab one. Here are two options, either officially thru Disney or a tiny bit cheaper and probably faster thru Amazon. I have this vinyl as well and may I say it is indeed pretty damn cool.
My wife didn't like them at first. I started with the radio songs and they didn't really click with her until I took her to a TOOL show. Now she's been to the last 5 or 6 shows that I've been to. She likes them so much that she plays the rockabye lullabies to her 5th grade class (shes a teacher). My hope is she's secretly getting the next generation of tool fans hooked.

> Amongst the sale today at Shibuyas disc union was Gorrilaz - Demon Dayz and self-titled, Smashing Pumkins - Meloncholy Infiniate Sadness, Beck - Seachange and Odelay (great albums but Seachange isnt worth 250 bucks for me) and some other very rare pressings.
RIP wallets.
> I admit i was tempted by the Tron soundtrack (which was around 200 for anyone who desperately wannts it PM me).
let me save you like $170: http://www.amazon.com/TRON-Legacy-Daft-Punk-LP/dp/B011V1WTB4/
i don't think it is the first run, limited edition one. but apparently it's identical in every way.
This makes me want to listen to the Rock-a-bye Baby Lullaby version of Metallica's 'the thing that should not be'. and make cute mobiles out of doll heads. Simply Darling.

They Might Be Giants have a bunch of educational songs, such as on their "Here comes ..." series. (I haven't heard all of them) http://smile.amazon.com/Here-Comes-Science-Might-Giants/dp/B002FKZ4UO
I also try singing to my son as many songs as I can find in foreign languages.
Part of it might be the targeted demographic. Obviously every Vegan is different, but I know I'm not the only one that attempts to avoid 'stuff' that isn't functional to my life and world view as my thoughts on materialism and other cultural issues shifted. Why would I buy something that's going to sit on a shelf when I could expend my resources on food/clothes/shelter/education/someone else? I have bought a single stuffed toy in the last year for a nephew, so I can see it coming up occasionally, but I don't know that I'd pick any of these items as appropriately cute/engaging for a 3 year old currently in love with Angry Birds when I could be buying fun educational material instead.
>I'd welcome them doing an album of kindergarten songs at this point.
I had never heard of Dinosaur Train, but it looks adorable. Way to go, PBS!
Does your toddler like Here Comes Science by They Might Be Giants? This is clearly the best song on the album.
There are at least two CDs available full of Carl Stalling's music for Looney Tunes. I loaned mine to a friend years ago and he still hasn't returned them. :-)
Buy or download The Carl Stalling Project: Music From Warner Bros. Cartoons, 1936-1958.
He composed and performed other popular tunes that were featured in all your favorite Looney Tunes.
The Carl Stalling Project is an amazing collection showcasing the great music the Warner Bros cartoons. It also has some outtakes and recorded voices of the orchestra between takes. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Mel Blanc once "entertained" at the birthday party of a niece or great-niece of his...this happened at a home near where I lived. The neighborhood kids talked about it for years as the coolest birthday party ever.
And if you like this, you might want to check out "The Carl Stalling Project" available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Carl-Stalling-Project-Cartoons-1936-1958/dp/B000002LJE
It's JUST the music from a whole bunch of those WB cartoons, and just hearing the music makes me remember the scenes and smile.
I enjoy the lullaby renditions a lot too.
link if you have spotify.
