Those cigar minders are not bad and I usually use one when I golf, but the springs on the cigar holding portion are a bit too robust. If you have a box-pressed cigar or a cigar with a delicate wrapper leaf, they can get damaged. I think I have seen a version with just a tray where the cigar can sit which might work better but I worry that a hot cigar might melt it. Here it is. Probably won't damage cigars but your cigar isn't as securely held.
Oh I found one for dirt cheap on amazon. It works, I don't have a problem with it, but I'm not sure it's a good gift. One of the big advantages of it (for me) is how cheap it is. I was getting on a flight when I got a text that a cigar buddy was going to be in the same city and he wanted to find a lounge. So I had amazon ship it to the hotel I was going to be at. I didn't want anything nice or that'd I lose much money on if it got lost along the way. It made it, and now I grab it when I'm traveling because if it gets lost/stolen/broken I don't really care. It is similar to the one linked below, but I got one for less than that two pack is going for.

I found a 3d model for a cigar rest on Thingiverse. It's kind of a modifed X shape shorter on top, and folds flat. I printed it on my 3D printer, and used a small piece of wire coat hanger for the hinge as it's stronger than the nubs that were on the model.
Like one of these, except plastic. And it cost me about 25 cents in material.

I use one of these for the golf cart. I imagine you can use it on a bot as well.
Great stocking stuffer idea!
Cigar : Punch Signature Robusto. Mild earthiness, leather, tons of baking spice, full draw, meaty, Brazil nut, mild sweetness. Very reminiscent of Cain or RP edge, but Punchified.
Perfecto Cigar Holder. Thing is amazing, highly recommend https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006XEW4SI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_btf_t1_j-NAFb2XZBH53
This is the one I use. It clips to almost anything. Great for when you're doing yard work and don't have anywhere to put your cigar. You can even lay it on a flat surface and the cigar won't touch.
I usually bring something cheap as other have stated. I tend to bring extra sticks for my buddies but they typically already have their own. My dad is the worst, he smoke cigars but unless I tell him to bring some he'll just smoke mine... Lol
I use this guy to hold my cigars. Works great!
For my 2 cents the grip clip works great across most ring sizes and doesn’t smash my cigars. You can add a cord to it for extra peace of mind on the boat. (For the clip, not the cigar) It is loose like Shakeup mentioned but I haven’t had it fall off once.

I also tried the clinger that krdshrk mentioned but left them behind twice now. When I got mine it also came with Velcro for extra security. I felt it pinched the cigars too much.
For push carts the clip gear cigar holder is great. Ring size of 60 might not work though. The way it’s set up you might be able to at least fabricate something to hold the rubber piece if the base doesn’t work for you.

Been a while since I saw a fellow cigar smoker. Once I'm off work, I plan to light up an El Gueguense Maduro with my friends at the cigar shop. Padron '64... my shop carries them, but that's a pricy smoke for a rainy Tuesday.
> Folding Cigar Rest
~~Who makes this? I can't find it based on "Mrs. Bro??"~~ [Found it, Mrs. Brog] I had one of these for a while, made in a 3d printer, and it was handy enough, but the hinge broke off.
I never had any luck with Xikar lighters, notwithstanding their lifetime replacement policy, but I've got one of their cutters in my pocket right now. Great EDC! I hope you enjoyed your smoke.
The cigar clip in the picture for anyone who's curious
Also, /r/cigars is a pretty welcoming place too
