My wife got some sunscreen on her interior (SR+). We use this to clean the inside of our cars:

I haven’t noticed it since.
I keep a spray bottle of ONR detail solution and some microfibers in the trunk. The stuff is magic on windows, great for spot cleanups (bird poops!) and safe on all interior surfaces. I can recommend it enough.
OPT Optimum (NR2010Q) No Rinse Wash & Shine - 32 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D8DR0AO
https://www.amazon.com/CarGuys-Super-Cleaner-Effective-Upholstery/dp/B071XB18BF
This is all you need for the vegan leather, so good!
I think it’s a pretty affordable way to maintain your car. I use the Optimum ONR - No Rinse Wash And some basic supplies
I can provide a full list of anyone interested.
Tons of videos online to help you along.
Not OP, but I love Stoner’s “Invisible Glass” glass cleaner. Ive used it for years. It’s cheap, easy to use, and works very well. I recommend getting the foaming version in the tall aerosol can, as it’s worked better for me than the sprayable version in the past and lasts longer I believe.
Here’s a link for it on Amazon.
Be careful about which seller you buy it from if you use the Amazon link, most of the bad reviews mention broken or missing bottles so one of the sellers is selling damaged product (not Stoner’s fault, just bad inventorying).
You can also find it at Walmart or AutoZone if you’re in the U.S.A, or your local auto parts store if you’re not.
I love a Boswell Spot Bot. They are great!
Edit: I just went on Amazon and typed “car cleaner interior stain” and this came up. It has a lot of purchases and good reviews.
I really think you should take this guy to small claims court.
Link for anyone looking. Can confirm this stuff is awesome. I like that it allows me to wash my car in the garage out of the sun. It can also be mixed stronger to make a quick detailer.
It happens in lots of cars and the ac drain doesn't even need to be clogged. The evaporator in the dash remains wet with moisture from the air after shutting down the car with the ac running. I way to prevent this is to turn off the ac 5 min or so before you get home and let the cabin fan dry it out before you shut the car down.
Once it's already smelly they make cans of spray foam cleaner you spray up from the drain hole underneath the car. Most mechanic shops will do it for around $100-150. It's about $14 for a can of the stuff on Amazon but you should be comfortable jacking up and blocking you car to do it. The drain location on the volt is a little tricky to get to as well. It's behind a bracket in the middle of the car just to the passenger side. Just follow the dripping water.

This one works for my pups drool marks and has a normal/nice smell:

I had the exact same problem as you did with my previous car but I was able to remove all of those tiny rust spots with this:
https://www.amazon.com/Carpro-Iron-Remover-500-Sprayer/dp/B004UM6DLE?th=1
Just got to plan on using right after washing your car. I thought it was a bit expensive ($25) for what it was, but it worked 100% as expected and it was so easy to get rid of all of those spots that afterwards I felt it was worth it.
If you're just taking it for a detail then just ask them whether they'll use something like this spray or if they're going to clay bar your car to get rid of those.
ONR!!!! I'm a recent convert.
.....for the uneducated heathens (jk!) it's Optimum No-Rinse wash and shine, check it out on Amazon - Optimum No Rinse Wash & Shine - 32 oz. - NR2010Q . Dilution is 1:256 or 1oz for 2gal of water. I bought the ONR wash and wax (contains carnuba) as folks noted it left a better shine.
Smells great, very little water needed, and I saw a ton of mobile detailers who gushed about how good it is so I decided to jump in.
Also, it smells so nice (bubble gum for my rinse and wax version)!!
Been going back and forth on the coating. I did watch some youtube before started and did the two bucket method. From my research it looks like if you just wax it every 3-4 months it should have near the same protection as ceramic. I do have the stuff to diy cermaic coating saved in my Amazon cart though. Was thinking about giving it a go.
Used this wash and wax from Amazon.

Maybe once every few months. It’s a bastard to rub in. I use this for my regular cleaning.
CarGuys Super Cleaner - Effective... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XB18BF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I think a lot of people use baby wipes too.
Unfortunately it’s something you have to do about every 11 months tbh. The filters are inexpensive from Tesla or you can try aftermarket “hepa” or “carbon” filters and the cleaner is cheap too. This is what Tesla uses: Lubegard 96030 Kool-It Evaporator and Heater Foam Cleaner https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0007PHD0S/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_E296NED98VP4ZX34TV5T
You can learn to do it yourself or schedule service through the app to do it, mobile will come out to you if available and if you speak to someone you can usually get it all done around $75 if they waive the labor then reference that invoice year after year. Considering you don’t need oil changes or cold air intake filters or brake pads very often as ice maintenance does it’s a small price to pay for a wonderful ride. I really like the smell of the car after a cleaning with that foam too. It lasts a few weeks. Then stays clean for almost a year.
If you bought from Tesla I’m not sure they have that 7day return policy anymore. I asked about it in 2020 and it was gone
I can wash my G-class in about 30-45 minutes (basic wash + spot free rinse):
Step 1: rinse off loose dirt with a hose and sprayer
Step 2: soak microfiber towel and apply soap (I don't do the "two bucket" method. I constantly use new/clean towels to ensure little or no dirt is transferred). Make sure soap is somewhat liquid but not too sudsy...suds reduce the lubrication of soap.
Step 3: wash panel by panel, checking to see how much dirt is on the towel and changing sides frequently
Step 4: rinse off every few panels to ensure soap doesn't dry
Step 5: after every panel is washed and rinsed, make a solution of No Rinse and water and wipe down all panels as directed to get a spot free dry.
Now, that of course doesn't include something like pressure washing the chassis, claying, waxing, etc. But a simple hand wash does a much better job at removing dirt while protecting the clear coat.
Used this since 2019 on my M3 white seats. It’s safe and does the job. The baby wipes work for emergencies too.
P.S - I’m not affiliated to the brand an any way. CarGuys Super Cleaner - Effective All Purpose Cleaner
Just get an interior cleaner. Something like this.
CarGuys Super Cleaner - Effective All Purpose Cleaner - Best for Leather Vinyl Carpet Upholstery Plastic Rubber and Much More! - 18 oz Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XB18BF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_itZ-Fb072X25B?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Do what your heart wants. I went with black, but I kick myself anytime I see that beautiful white interior.
As long as you clean off with a baby wipe often (like every couple weeks), you should be good. I use this for my black interior https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XB18BF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I pick up many people before, occasionally I would get oily patch and all of them from women passengers. I am not sure what they use, sometimes it's on their hands, or maybe they touch their pants and the stain pass on to the seats. So far I was able to clean all of them up. I use microfiber towel and carguys supercleaner https://www.amazon.com/CarGuys-Super-Cleaner-Effective-Upholstery/dp/B071XB18BF/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=car+guy+cleaner&qid=1618784491&sr=8-3. Very rarely I have seen anyone gets permanent stain. Unless she changes whatever she uses, you will continue to get it from her.
it kind of looks like iron deposits. You could try an iron remover that's used to detail cars. Something like this
I would recommend getting an undercarriage sprayed to help protect the frame from salt, stuffs brutal.
As far as everything else, perhaps look into a no rinse wash such as: http://www.amazon.com/Optimum-NR2010Q-Rinse-Wash-Shine/dp/B00D8DR0AO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1440383001&sr=8-1&keywords=onr
This stuff is amazing and works decently well for a not so to slightly dirty car.
Larry did a video that kinda talks about it in this video: https://youtu.be/M1nI7Td5eqA?t=7m45s
If you can do the above, it'll save you trips to the local carwash spot and will yield better results in my opinion, but is is not required if you don't have means to do it at your apartment.
For wax, hop on Amazon and look up Collinite 845. Its the local favorite as far as price vs longevity vs quality, which it has all 3 of hands down. Wax your car once a month with this and wipe it off with a few microfiber towels from www.theragcompany.com and you have successfully protected your paint better than most people do.
I just got the regular ONR...doesn't say anything about wax. I bought it from Amazon.
Or just get a bottle of this stuff called invisible glass (Amazon link https://www.amazon.com/Invisible-Glass-Premium-Cleaner-91164/dp/B0007OWD2M ) and a microfiber towel and never worry about streaks again. Seriously the only thing I've ever managed to clean windows with and it work well.
Gallon of Blue ONR is on sale for $35 on amazon right now.
Picked up a bottle two days ago when it dropped to this price momentarily as well. Good deal according to camelcamelcamel where the last lowest price was $34. It's free shipping even without prime b/c it's over $25.
Edit: If you buy it remember to use "www.smile.amazon.com"!
It's a car super cleaner technically but it says "safe on exterior and interior fabric, carpet, leather, vinyl, plastic, rubber, finished wood trim, metals, and more!" So I guess it's not made for a purse but I don't see why you couldn't use it in a purse realistically Here's the Amazon link for it CarGuys Super Cleaner https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071XB18BF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_5vqkCbFY1K2C1
I live in the south so washing year round is fair game.
I’ve heard good things about this for winter time though.
Optimum (NR2010Q) No Rinse Wash & Shine - 32 oz. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D8DR0AO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_eGtzFbDX5JDXK
If you don’t have any access to a driveway/hose, you should definitely look into using Optimum No Rinse (ONR) (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00D8DR0AO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_50-wFbK5W64AR) wash method.
Usually all you need is ONR, Microfiber towels (I use Costco Kirkland brand $15 ish for a pack of 35), a bucket, and a spray bottle (with some ONR in it)
You can look up the ONR wash method (it’s everywhere on the internet/Reddit). It makes cleaning your car much easier without using soap. Though if your car is caked in dirt and grime, I’d recommend just getting Meguiars Gold Glass car wash (less than $10). Definitely avoid using regular dish soap unless your intention is to strip off any wax/sealants that is already on your car.
If there are any questions you have, feel free to message!
I like the plastics. It’s super easy to clean. When I deep clean my car I wipe it down with Meguiar’s All Purpose Cleaner and then follow up with 303 UV Protectant. The 303 also acts as a mild dressing. Not quite a shine, but just a nice vibrant look. I also use 303 on my tires. I love that shit.
Seems like a good combo to me. Once a month is plenty for the aero 303.
I’ve heard good things about this cleaner. cleaner
