Moisturizer after you wash is a good start. I really like ones with lactic acid in them as they are moisturizing and exfoliating, so they really help with dry skin. I only shower a couple times a week, but put on this lotion on my face and body almost every night. My skin looks great, even better than before I started using it, which it’s never really been bad.
Also, drink water and try to get more protein in your diet. Your skin is protein, so it’s important. I know you struggle with anorexia so it’s impossible to just tell yourself ‘eat more meat!’
So I’ll work with you. There are plenty of low calorie, high protein powder that you can mix in with water. Get a flavorless powder that you can mix with water and drink two or three glasses a day. It will at least be a step in the right direction. This is the brand that I use and they have a few different options.
I know where you’re coming from to an extent because, though I don’t have an eating disorder, I have terrible anxiety that makes it impossible for me to eat for days at a time without throwing up. I have incorporated unflavored protein powders in my diet to make up for the lack of nutrition I get on these days. You just have to get used to drinking a lot of water. This is easier to do if you cut out sugary beverages completely. Once you go long enough without them and force yourself to drink water when your thirsty, you will lose your taste for less healthy drink options and crave water much more often. The fact that it doesn’t have calories also makes it easier to not have anxiety over drinking it.

It'll depend on your goal. Collagen tends to be beneficial for the skin and gut. Glycine is an amino acid within Collagen protein that can support sleep.
If you're just looking for collagen protein, this is a good option.

My DHT has gone from 3272 to 1287 pmol/l from May to Sep which is a significant drop putting me back within almost normal ranges (83-1266). Note OP but I take bovine collagen (this one: https://www.amazon.ca/Organika-Enhanced-Collagen-500-grams/dp/B01MZ1FC46) and add it to my coffee as well. If you have a Costco near you its $50 for 1kg and will occasionally go on sale for $40 for 1 kg. Ive gone through at least 6 so far. I prefer the powder cause I only want the collagen and the collagen pills contain a bunch of other stuff in addition to it. A nice bonus to taking collagen for skin is that you experience less discomfort in your joints. I use to run fairly often so when I go for periods without the collagen I notice a difference in my knees.

Started the iron and b12 recently but that collagen powder is great. It has protein in it, no taste, it dissolves really fast in water, great in smoothies, and I've definitely felt a difference in my hair and my nails have grown longer and stronger. It's not a cure all but it helps. In the hashimoto's subreddit, a lot of people ask about hair loss as it's a major side-effect. And for every success story, it seems the only way to stop the hair loss and to get your hair back is to cut out carbs.
You can also try viviscal, that's supposed to be great. Also recommend limiting styling and dying your hair, try not to wear it up in a ponytail too much and if you do, use the spiral hair ties (phone cord ones) so that it doesn't pull your hair out.

I started adding two scoops (20p) of collagen peptides to my daily intake. I drink it with some pomegranate juice or almond milk. Its essentially protein powder with some other great benefits for joints, digestion, connective tissue, etc. I get mine at costco.

Every morning I take my normal dosage of women's gummies (Costco), a fish/krill oil, and a probiotic that I buy through a family member. The collagen powder I take is this one and I really like it! I can mix it with my morning coffee or in smoothies and it's not gelatinous (the red container is).

Are you taking a collagen supplement? You won't see the effects immediately, but I tore my ACL back in August and started taking it to aid in my recovery. Who knows if it's helped my ACL but my hair / skin / nails look amazing. It's also an easy way to pad your diet with 10 extra grams of protein. This is the one i'm using - one scoop in my tea in the mornings - it dissolves completely and is tasteless. I feel ya though. I'm also cutting and it's a chore. Going to bed hungry is no fun but the last few months were pretty indulgent for me so I keep trying to remember how much I enjoyed those and telling myself it was worth it to have to do this now! Hang in there.
Intermittent fasting is supposed to help with aotophagy, which is the process of your cells actually replacing themselves. So, that is definitely a place to start looking!

Ah, ok. Yeah, that would be an issue in my book :-) But I'm spoiled as he does sleep through.
Two things we've done... if our LO really won't eat, he will ALWAYS eat a yogurt pouch. (Seems to be the one thing he doesn't refuse.) So we'll give him one of those at the end, to make sure he has a full belly.
If she'll drink milk, you can get a flavorless protein powder that dissolves in (cold or warm) milk and add a bit in to her milk, to try to "top her up" a bit? We've tried this one When he's teething and he just will.not.eat. we add it to his milk.

I use this every day for extra protein in my BPC. It's tasteless. So much so that when my 6 and 9 year-old niece and nephew tried just the powder (I told them it was ground bones, lol) they said it didn't taste like anything.
I had the same problem! I make my third one with almond milk only to avoid going over on fat.

I tried a couple whey powders and just could not stand the taste they added. That seems to really be a personal preference thing though.
Collagen dissolves easily and mixes great in an immersion blender. It's more expensive and doesn't add a ton of protein through. I just wanted my BPC to have some amount of protein.

I've been on Accutane for 5 months and am very active, I haven't had any joint issues. I can't say whether or not these pills have actually helped or if I've just gotten lucky, but they may be worth a try. Good luck!
I like to mix a tbsp of unsweetened cocoa and hydrolyzed collagen into my daily coffee, but I'm also a weird health nut. If you go to Starbucks, I'd recommend getting a 'blonde' because it has more caffeine and antioxidants than a darker roast.

There's billions of vegan protein powders out there. The only protein powder I use is this which isn't even a complete protein. I get plenty of protein just by eating 3200 calories.
When you say your hands do you mean your palms or the tops? Or both?

I am taking collagen (in powder form) in hopes my hair gets stronger (I have a lot of strands, but they are thin.) So far it's made my hair longer and helped my nails and eyelashes. Might be worth a try!

This is my go to protein powder, but I only use it on days when I'm not really in the mood to eat meat. It goes pretty well in coffee and I even had some mixed with peanut butter once and I couldn't taste it at all.
Try eating some gelatin. It increases the collagen in your skin which will help fight stretch marks and just makes your skin healthier in general. You can use it like protein powder.

I should note that for my elbow (which injured while doing overhead presses. Worst lifting injury i've ever had), I tried almost everything to heal it, and it was still causing me pain after heavy workouts. Now not only is there no pain, but it also helped the crackling in my knee's.
Regarding skin, i've noticed much less acne. However for mental enhancement, haven't noticed anything.

edited to add: That is the one that melts in liquid, some thicken things like normal gelatin, some have a taste. I can add that one to water and it doesn't taste like anything.
I use collagen in my morning coffee and added to my post-workout protein stack as a joint health supplement. I've been using it for about six months, and an old (10+ years) nagging climbing injury of mine no longer hurts.
Could be totally unrelated, but it's relatively cheap, available on Amazon, has some protein, and certainly isn't going to hurt anything.

1) It's a powdered animal protein--much like gelatin--that supports joint health, and helps with hair, skin, and nails. Totally unflavored. Can be used in cooking or it dissolves in hot or cold liquids. I swear by it. Here's what I buy.
2) Two scoops is one serving per the label, which is 20 grams.
Eat collagen. Your body can break that collagen down into lysine and proline, and then use those to build collagen again. Also note your body uses vitamin C to catalyze the construction so make sure you've got vitamin C in your diet too as you add proline and lysine. If you're over 30 (and hence experiencing lower-than-peak HGH levels) your body will be very slow to rebuild connective tissue unless you're providing a lot of the raw materials.
Simply mixing gelatin into my coffee for two days helped me heal an ankle injury that had gone without healing for about a month. It was gross and slimy, but I chugged that nasty coffee and it worked. Your body can heal connective tissue just as readily and steadily as it heals a cut on your skin, if you give it the right raw materials to work with.
There's hydrolized collagen, which is processed further than gelatin, which means it will dissolve perfectly into cool liquids so it's not slimy and gross. I mix it into my coffee every day and my joints are all stronger and less injury-prone.

If you think maybe I'm nuts and don't want to drop $22 plus shipping just to test some rando's theory on the internet, buy a box of gelatin for like $2 at the grocery store, in the baking aisle. Gelatin is collagen that's just been boiled down like crazy until it's a powder. Mix it into something hot like tea or coffee, and be prepared to drink a nasty slimy drink. But it's worth it.
Or just eat a shit-ton of jello - as long as it's not some vegetarian thing jello has gelatin and therefore collagen in it.
