Shark ION RV750 on sale for 220. Plus if it breaks or you dont care for it return to amazon. Kohls also has a black friday deal where you get 60$ kohls cash but its $250. It seems to be a better vacuum compared to the Roomba based on video reviews and its cheaper. Shark has a larger debris cartridge, 2 edge spinners ( roomba has one ) and seems to clean better since it bounces around more and doesnt move in straightlines like the roomba. Newer Shark ION has shit reviews so stick to the older one.

I have the Shark. I like it but I would definitely get one that self empties next time. Most of them come with the feature of an app so you can create a map around the house for it, or some sorts and that’s pretty cool! It doesn’t get in hard to reach places so keep that in mind 😊 we got ours in March of 2020 and I’m sure there’s much newer ones out now.

It is not self-emptying and will travel in a random pattern rather than moving in an orderly fashion. I love it. I don't mind emptying every day, and if it misses a spot (because random), I'm just grateful it hits all the others.

I have multiple Roborock and Roomba units. Go with Roborock; I really recommend the S6 MaxV or the S7+ if you need auto emptying.

Roomba is a ton of hype, but lots and lots of software headaches for the top of line models.

I've been extremely happy with our Roborock vacuum. Like surprisingly happy. Wasn't quite sure if it would be a good brand or not but I love it. We got the S4. It's got lidar for room mapping, wifi, Alexa enabled skill. It's also 120$ off with a coupon on Amazon.

If you've got mostly hard floors & need smart navigation, I'd go with a Roborock. Roombas don't really have enough airflow for serious hard floor cleaning from what I've seen (With the exceptions of the s9 & 980)

A cheap Roborock like the E4 is about $270 if you're in the US. It has smart navigation & about a 2.5 hour battery life on medium power. Although it won't make a smart map so you won't be able to do room-specific cleaning. Sadly, Roborocks are a little hard to find at the moment so you may have to shop around

The Roborock S4 Max is what I would recommend currently, because of the sale. If you search for similar posts to yours (and there's plenty), Roborock is always what's recommended, and for good reason.

As a more general answer to your question, I believe that all of the Roborock vacuums that have Lidar also have room and zone-specific cleaning. I have the S4 and just bought an S4 Max for my in laws. The S4 (and max), in my opinion, is by far the best value for the money. For $320 right now, it's a no brainer.

Also - Be aware that there's been some sketchy shilling for 360 brand vacuums on this sub lately; but they're garbage.

Take a look at the Roborock S4 Max (it's $320 right now with a $110 coupon code) if you don't need the mopping function. It is the same in terms of navigation and cleaning performance as the S6 Pure and S5 Max, but cheaper since it lacks the mopping feature. A Lidar-guided Roborock most likely will finish the job on one charge, but I doubt the E4 will do it considering the size of your house. Lidar navigation is just much more efficient compared to the gyroscope mapping in the E4/i3. The Roborock has better suction, but the Roomba has better roller brushes. Overall, the cleaning performance should be at the same level. Lidar-based models also have some advanced app features such as selective room cleaning, no-go zones, zoned cleaning, multimaps, etc. Lidar also builds a very accurate map of your house.

I second the robot vacuum. I had a Roomba some years back and it didn’t really deliver. But fast forward to today and I have an off brand one for about half the price that works AMAZINGLY. We are so happy with this thing. As long as you don’t have stuff all over the floor, it does an incredible job keeping our whole downstairs clean. Comes on in the middle of the night - we never hear it. House is spotless all the time now.
