I have my screen brightness very low, use software that tints the screen orange (filters out blue light), and use dark mode on everything. If I’m staying late and it starts to get dark, I get even more sensitive to screens and overhead fluorescents, so I wear these:
https://www.amazon.com/S0360X-Ultra-spec-Eyewear-SCT-Orange-Anti-Fog/dp/B003OBZ64M
They look ridiculous, but prevent my migraines, so who cares.
Never had a problem with floaters, but I’ve had them all my life so I never really notice them.
We can use these as a workaround until Nest gets it’s act together. I bought these to cover the LED lights on my car’s dashcam for a more stealth look. They work well without ruining the aesthetic of your machine/device.
Here are some of the LED cover stickers they make for reducing the brightness of these lights.

I got these, which is tested by Consumer Reports to have best blue light blocking abilities. It works over my glasses too and is made by Honeywell.
The only thing is since it blocks out so much it makes everything really orange too and takes some getting used too. Most others don't block as well and thus you see more color.
So I'm guessing your dealing with eye strain! I work in a very dim environment for my internship and not being used to looking at a screen 8 hours a day. Ended up with headaches and my eyes hurting every single day. Did some research and installed a program called f.lux! It changes the colors of your screen so less blue light was admitted and really worked great for me. I also got a very cheap pair of blue light filtering glasses and they definitely help out. I would just recommend finding a pair you like, they all mostly do the same thing.

So, I would try f.lux first and if that doesn't help move on to getting some cheap glasses. Hope this helps!
EDIT: Saw on your profile that you go to UW Madison! I go to UW La Crosse!
I use blue light filtering glasses so the color change doesn't really bother me. I can totally see how it would bother other people though!
My biggest complaint is the font. With all of the alignment and stuff shown it is really bothering my inner ruler. I think it looks cool without knowing that it's totally wackily aligned but now I can't unsee it. I personally have no problem recognizing that it's Discord and not DiSCOrd, but that's just me I guess.
Thanks for the detailed picture, it totally makes sense!
Here you go my guy.

Absolutely! Sorry I don’t know how to do the fancy hyperlinks on Reddit but I will try.
And any light box with > 10,00 Lux will work, so feel free to shop around. I liked one that had a slow ramp up alarm function, simulating dawn (helpful in winter months) and that also had a timer function so I could set it for days, 30 min and not worry about having to turn it off. Even my office colleagues got to where they liked having it on in the morning even when it wasn’t at their desk! I’d do the alarm function and have it on while I got ready, then a second one at work for a while.
The glasses are super adjustable and so comfortable I literally sleep in them. It is nice because I can’t wear eye masks that wrap around the back of your head with elastic because they give me headaches. They may not be the suavest fashion statement but my family and friends are so used to seeing them on me now they don’t notice them, and they helped so much I got to where I just said eff it and made myself comfortable.
I have a pair! I was getting a lot of headaches and thought it might help since I spend so much time in front of a computer. I don’t know if they’ve really helped with my headaches, but they do seem to help with relieving general eye strain.
I got this pair from Amazon: GAMMA RAY 003 Computer Readers Reading Glasses in Ergonomic Memory Flex Frame w UV Protection, Anti Blue Rays, Anti Glare and Scratch Resistant Lens in 53-16-140 Size - +0.00 Magnification https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BQ7KBV4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_lJNvAb7HCW882
Buy a pair of blue light blocking/anti glare glasses on Amazon. They work pretty well at helping reduce eye irritation.
To add to this: I got mine on Amazon for $14.99. I was getting terrible headaches every other day from eye strain. Haven’t had one since. Just make sure the magnification is 0.00x unless you want/need reading glasses.
They have greatly helped my eye strain/dry eyes! I wear contacts and my prescription has always been really strong (bad genetics). But after I started wearing blue light blocking glasses, my prescription in 1 eye improved slightly, and the other stayed the same (after years of steadily getting worse).
Re: dry eyes, I’ve definitely noticed a difference when I don’t wear them. My contacts are significantly drier.
Here’s a link to the ones I bought: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GRPXNX4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

The circular shapes are not the perfect size - I had to settle for one slightly smaller.

This has been driving me nuts.
I bought a pack of these on Amazon and they have changed my life. There is one that fits perfectly over the button, and it can also be removed and re-stuck repeatedly (if you want to play with your settings).
F.lux doesn’t work 100%, you need the glasses. There is a pair on amazon that look like hardcore safety glasses and block 100% blue light as tested in a lab, I’ll make an edit and post the link below. They’re large, so you may be able to fit them over glasses.
Another idea is PS - Phosphatidylserene, it works like a charm for regulating cortisol. 200mg at night worked better than rx sleeping pills for me when nightly awakenings were regular and bad.

Sorry, I don't know that TV, but there are a lot of devices with the same issue. Try https://www.amazon.com/LIGHTDIMS-LD002-LightDims-Black-Edition/dp/B009WSN8PK
I have the Gamma Ray glasses and I'm pretty happy with them. They have a slight amber tint but it's not very noticeable. It's honestly hard to know if these things work but I wear mine regularly at night and find them helpful.
I'm wearing these orange goggles right now and it's the best $10 I've ever spent
It's a little late for them to be maximally effective (it's like 1 am), but when I am diligent and put them on as soon as the sun goes down, when the time I ought to go to bed rolls around, holy cow it's like a freaking tranquilizer dart. I've been using them for about a year now, mostly when I am on the computer or phone a lot at night, and they definitely help with sleep latency and quality.
I don't know if you ever found a solution or workaround, but I was in a similar situation and came across these, which may be the best workaround without having to use software, mess with the hardware, or get an entirely new headset. They're called LightDims, but they're just stickers that block out LED light. I've already bought them and put them on my G733 headphones and you can't even tell that lights are on when they're turned on, so if you don't mind paying a bit these serve as a pretty efficient workaround, you just apply sticker(s) to where the lights are and voilà, no more obnoxious LED. The stickers blend in for the most part as well since they're pitch black, which is also nice.
en cualquier optica te hacen lentes con blue-blocker.

These aren't what I ordered a few years ago, but very close to what I wear around the house: https://www.amazon.com/Protection-Computer-Readers-Glasses-Shatterproof/dp/B00BQ7KBV4/

I ordered stickers! They fit well and look good. Best of all no more power light.

1) I use these Gamma Rays and my eyes are significantly less tired at the end of the day. It protects from both the harsh computer lighting AND the fluorescent office lighting. There's a Gunnar brand if you want to go higher-end but I can't vouch for it.
2) Make the text bigger
3) Schedule time on your phone to take breaks and walk around/look into the distance
The gross thing is, as far as I can tell, the whole thing is some kind of weird fad. Like, the manufacturers think that consumers view the ultra-bright lights as a mark of quality.
That's probably only true for a small percentage of customers. But they can put in the bright-ass lights for almost the same price as normal ones.
Hell, everything seems to have unnecessarily bright LED lights, these days. I had to replace my damn dishwasher a while back, and the lights on its buttons are so insanely bright that you can't read the text on those very same controls.
I literally had to put tape over them, to cut the brightness down. Later, I noticed that there are actually further consumer products to un-brighten the bright-ass lights: https://www.amazon.com/LIGHTDIMS-LD002-LightDims-Black-Edition/dp/B009WSN8PK
Try adding glycine, make sure to be in the Sun 30 min each day first thing in the morning. It will take about 3 weeks to reset your cyrcadian rhythms. I personally take a mini trampoline into my backyard and exercise in it for 30 minutes and started falling asleep better on day 3 but for some people it takes week.
also wear blue light blockers in the pm and drink no caffeine at all, not even decaf or tea.
These look good on everyone

All the other advice here is good. I work similar hours and have the same issue. Buy gamer glasses. They will change your life. These are the ones I normally buy, but there are lots of other options:

For long hours, the best thing you can do is every half hour to an hour max stand up and walk around. This will relax your eyes and protect you from a lot of the negative consequences of sitting all day.
Last thing to mention, working these hours could lead to high blood pressure, which can cause blurry eyes. It also leads to dangerous weight gain. I am speaking from personal experience. Even if you are going to get fired because you didn't complete a task, make sure you are engaging in physical activity every day. It will save your life.

- Can't tell in the pictures, but how many sources of warm light do you have when it's dark? Lamps are so cozy!
- Also, may not be part of the room per se, but a nice ceramic kettle on a heat pad with a nice mug you like is perfect for a cold day.
- Your room probably has a significant amount of LEDs and other sources of glare at night. Finding ways to reduce those sources of light helps me relax a lot: https://www.amazon.com/LIGHTDIMS-LD002-LightDims-Black-Edition/dp/B009WSN8PK. I see a blue light coming from your speaker for example.
- Do you have a white noise machine? Those really help me relax. You could also play white noise over your speakers.
- I can't tell if there is something soft under the desk, but I love a squishy carpet for my feet at my desk
