Get something like this. It literally runs internet through the power cables in your house. Plug one next to your router with an ethernet cable, and one near you device with an ethernet cable. Instant internet.
Hook a Bluetooth up to it. Like this. Bluetooth Audio Adapter for Music Streaming Sound System, esinkin W29-us Wireless Audio Adapter Works with Smart Phones and Tablets, Wireless Adapter for Speakers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B016NUTG5K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_G7lfFbVMQ9FFG search Bluetooth stereo adapter.
Wow, literally every comment in here so far is wrong...
Yes, OP, you can use the coax in your house for networking. What you’re looking for are MoCA adapters. I use them for backhaul between my pucks and they’re just as fast as Ethernet.
The only situation where they won’t work is if you have Satellite TV. DVB-T and MoCA don’t get along. If you have cable TV, though, you’ll be fine.
I have had some success using powerline adapters as well in a house, where it is difficult to run a cable.
Instead of running cables everywhere check into Ethernet over Power. Cable plugs into your router then into a box in an outlet. Then from another outlet to a box and you can plug in a cable there and add wifi boosters/router from there.
Powerline Adapters let you use your home's electrical lines like makeshift ethernet cables: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-Powerline-Adapter-Starter-TL-PA4010KIT/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1519569756&sr=8-2&keywords=tp+link+powerline+adapter
Dude just have fun. The guys whining about WiFi are just salty and need something to blame because they can't land their own combos. Most guys I face on WiFi are fine.
Also you can run internet over your power in your house with this adapter so there ya go, easy wired connection if you want it.
Powerline Networking isn't great...but I think it's better than WiFi...
They're not super expensive...Something like this would work: https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-AV600-Powerline-Ethernet-Adapter/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=powerline+network&qid=1610564144&sr=8-3
If the coax is decent enough, you can get some MOCA adapters and get gigabit speeds relatively cheap! I used that to upgrade my mom's house to take full advantage of Google Fiber with a Deco mesh network.
These are the ones I got, they work great so far! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XYDG7WN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_DN1C2E43FB67XCWJZ9YC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Yes it would help and you need 2 because one goes to a coax hook up near your router and the other goes to a coax in your pc room.
This is the one I bought, it has a cable pass through so if you currently use the cable for TV it will still work.
It comes with an ethernet cable but not a coax FYI

I like the Actiontec branded MoCA 2.0 Adapters. Here's a kit on amazon for a 2 pack.
I use them myself, and they work excellent. I get like 700-800mb down on my Apple TV when doing a speed test.
Unless you have bought one of these recently it'd be fucking useless. ITs unrealistic not because of technical difficulties, but because the target audience is tiny. Maybe if you were trying to pull another Stuxnet and had a very specific target
Congrats! They're awesome devices. Purchased a Dell Visor used for $105 a couple months back and I love it.
A couple things to note that you'll need to run this well that you may or may not know about:
You have to make sure that this is plugged into a USB 2.0 port (3.0 causes stuttering), that you aren't using any other Bluetooth devices (interference), and that the adapter is within view of your playing area (USB extension cord might be necessary)
Eneloop Pro batteries are the most widely recommended, but the Amazon Basics high capacity ones and Ikea high capacity batteries both work well. A good purchase if you don't have a AA battery charger is the Panasonic charger bundle with the 4 AA Eneloop Pro batteries. You're going to want 4 to 8 extra batteries depending on how much you plan on playing.
You're probably going to want USB3/HDMI extension cables. Be careful going over 15ft/6m as you start to run into issues like needing a powered USB cord and input latency.
Edit: Gonna keep adding on as I think of things
You're going to want to make sure that your room is at least moderately well lit and that your walls/floors aren't uniform. Put something on your walls/floor that gives definition if necessary, it will help with tracking.
Yes, you can. You'd use a couple MoCA (Multimedia over Coax Alliance) adapters, with one on each end. This should allow you to push ethernet over your Coax. Having never done this myself, it should work fine in theory, but other factors like cable quality and length will probably come into play.
Here's a link to a pair you can purchase on Amazon: Link
I have MoCA adapters working with Verizon FioS. Its awesome. MoCA 1.1 gives 175 Mbps shared.
I have them next to each TV (3 total). Much better than Wifi. I do not see ocassional drops I used to see with wifi earlier.
I have had ocassional (may be 4 times in 8 years) when I have to reboot the moca adapter as it got out of sync but very rock solid otherwise.
I use Actiontec MoCA 2.0 adapters - no-referral Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013J7O3X0/
Yes but you must use Moca adapters (one at each end of the coax run) like this one: https://www.amazon.com/goCoax-Adapter-2-5Gbps-Ethernet-WF-803M/dp/B07XYDG7WN/
300Mbps is what you get. I always think anything over 200Mbps is pretty good.
As for getting Ethernet upstairs use this:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XYDG7WN/
Buy one to get Ethernet on your Coax and one for each time you want to get it out of your Coax. Will do gigabit speeds and best thing after Ethernet.
To all Wi-Fi players.
Saying that your router is too far is definitely not an excuse.
You can buy a bridge that'll run the signal through the electric cables in your walls. As long as you have an electric socket in the room you play in, you can play wired.
Now please. Everyone paid for the game. Don't be the guy/gal ruining the online for everyone. Heck it'll even downgrade your experience as you'll get blocked by more and more people.
I can aslo understand that some situations prevent you from accessing a decent connection. Rest assured, this reply doesn't concern you.
Have a nice day y'all o/

It'd be cheaper to just get a Bluetooth adapter on Amazon while you're at it. At least then you can use it for other things as well.
One like this. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009ZIILLI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_J4ZPyb23DGPF1
Do you think this would be good? It’s the first thing that comes up on Amazon. I have 200 mbps btw.
> then you need decent sized antennas if you're transmitting any kind of distance

Need one at either end so make sure to get a 2pk like in the link rather than a single pack.
I bought a Plugable adapter from Amazon for my WiiMote after rebuilding my system with a mobo that didn't have onboard wifi/BT. This particular one uses a Broadcom BCM20702. Win10 will have a driver for it immediately, and Windows Update should pull an even newer driver. Native bluetooth stack has been around since Win8, so nothing else to do. Works great. Supports every OS under the sun in case you want to use it elsewhere or repurpose it later.
You're going to want a powerline adapter if you want a wired connection. I'm not sure how much it'll help in your use case.
https://www.amazon.com/TP-Link-AV600-Powerline-Ethernet-Adapter/dp/B00AWRUICG/
plug it into a wall socket near your router, plug ethernet cable into router.
plug other one into a wall socket near your tekken machine, plug ethernet cable in.
a thousand times better than wireless. not only will your opponents appreciate it, but you will notice a difference as well.
One of the more popular video players for funscripts (scripts for videos that can control toys like the launch) is ScriptPlayer.
https://github.com/FredTungsten/ScriptPlayer
The site has instructions on getting it set up. One thing to note though is that the launch is pretty finicky about bluetooth adapters. One of the Devs recommend this cheap one, which is known to work fine:
https://www.amazon.com/Plugable-Bluetooth-Adapter-Raspberry-Compatible/dp/B009ZIILLI
Something like this. Basically, it will let you run an ethernet connection via coax.

I am sure others can chime in regarding the specifics of setting it up with your Comcast service. I haven't had Comcast or run MOCA in years, but it did work very well when I did.

Yes, there are many add-on receivers. Amazon has a ton of them:
