My wife and her friend swear by this particular product. However, double check that it would work with the Joy since both my wife and her friend have an Explore
That print looks like screen printing which in my personal experience is very hard to remove and if you remove it will leave a mark behind buuuuuut if one already came out I'd just put in inside out, meaning: apply the acetone inside of the fabric where the print is, it'll come out easier, at least that's how we do at work when removing vinyl (we use this btw and it works amazing and it doesn't damage the fabric).
Thanks for this! I just got a pair of IM in Titanium and a Metal vent for my bf for $85 !
Use this to remove the vinyl. We use it a my work and doesn't damage the fabric.
When I want to mask a piece, I use a wide roll of transfer paper which covers the whole sheet of material with no overlap.
There's not anything made specifically for Glowforge, and most other lasers cut so much faster and with much stronger air assist that their operators don't need to mask everything like we do. Their cuts come out clean without it.
Several Amazon sellers have added that disclaimer for liability reasons -- because loose masking tape can catch fire in your laser and cause thousands of dollars in damage.
That doesn't mean you can't use it. Any paper masking/transfer tape will work.
I use the Vinyl Ease paper tape which is available on Amazon.
this is the exact one i bought. it’s the stuff they use like with cricut machines to cut out letters and shapes and stick em on stuff! just think of it as a big heavy duty sticker. once it’s on, it’s hard to get off. it’s completely black out so it makes the enclosure pretty dark even with one side still “open”.. but my guy has liked that i think.
ORACAL 651 Permanent Vinyl, 1 Pack, Matte Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01NC0XTPV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_Q82R5RB9MFP463310TPF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I second the Siser HTV and Oracal 651.
I copied the link below, but I found transfer tape on Amazon that works really well for me. I've been working off of the roll for almost 2 years now and it's still going to last for a long time. This stuff does have a grid. Sometimes it helps me, sometimes it gets in my way. It works really well for regular vinyl. It does not work well for glitter, textured or shimmer vinyl. I use the strong grip Cricut brand transfer tape for that.

I use this instead of painters tape on large surfaces. It's faster to apply and isn't much more sticky. I'll still use painters tape on cups/bottles to test image size and location.

This stuff will work:
https://www.amazon.com/Heat-Transfer-Vinyl-Remover-Fabrics/dp/B0756LBB6H/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=vinyl+remover&qid=1625266234&sr=8-2
BUT it will absolutely leave a ghost image/outline of the logo because of the heat press process and no matter how much vinyl residue you treat with VLR. It would be better to see if you could have a kit-shop heat press a new square of vinyl on it.

It’s good to see a fellow hodler here. My wife bought this transfer “tape” and it works great:
Bought this in September. I like it and there's so much on the roll I probably won't need to repurchase until next year.
Idk about acetone but at my works we use this special remover for vinyl and it works perfectly when we mess it up (but idk if you want to spend another $20 for a sports bra)
You have to put it inside of the fabric where the vinyl is, let it sit for a little and the vinyl by itself will start to come off
Heat Transfer Vinyl Remover for Fabrics 20 fl. oz https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0756LBB6H/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabt1_dadXFbC5NK0RT
I used this vinyl. Then let it cure for 24 hours.
The unicorn head glitter was from a different place on amazon.
Is it made from vinyl or is it "Vinyl Ease" brand?
This is what I use :

In addition to dyeing, I use vinyl and transfers. When I make a mistake, this stuff makes it peel right off. Leaves no residue or smell. https://www.amazon.com/Heat-Transfer-Vinyl-Remover-Fabrics/dp/B0756LBB6H/ref=sr_1_3?gclid=Cj0KCQiAyMKbBhD1ARIsANs7rEF8RClUoqcU2evCy-OlPz8-9wkYVL-9VjYXTneJeOY_SaJu0F5FNTwaAt0FEALw_wcB&hvadid=390449544218&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9021569&hvn...
I successfully turned this Eclipse 2.0 Reactor into a jet black blank.
Hot dip, I noticed the pan did start a slow simmer so it was probably way too warm. Anything else I should watch out for? Or was it just too hot.
I use transfer tape then airbrush the engraved areas and then remove the tape and lightly sand. If you use spray paint apply it with several VERY LIGHT coats to prevent bleeding. This lets you get perfectly even engraving colors every time. Something like this
It's basically really wide painters tape. It isn't terribly sticky so it's easy to remove.
This might yellow over time.
I used this to cover my appliance handles

If you use it for your own crafts most of the above suggestions are ok. But if you sell your stickers then I wouldn’t use something from the dollar store. This is what I use. Seems to be the best in my year experience. It’s off Amazon. transfer tape
Happy crafting.
I use this one Transfer Tape for Vinyl, 12 inch x 100 feet, Paper with Layflat Adhesive. American-Made Application Tape for Craft Cutters and Sign Makers https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08563Q5ND/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_7C4PPGE75QPDPEYYFDGS
I have this one. I just did a stickiness comparison and it is less sticky than my dollar tree masking tape. I would suggest cutting something small and using regular masking tape as a transfer to see if you like it and if it is leaving residue.

Limited-time deal: Permanent Adhesive Backed Vinyl Sheets by EZ Craft USA - 12" x 12" - 40 Sheets Assorted Colors Works with Cricut and Other Cutters https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HEB3UNQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_dl_BJBBQMQJEFT96Z94PN0H?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This is the tape I use. It does not leave any residue and it's lower tack than Proofgrade masking, so it's not hard to remove.

The brand name is "Vinyl Ease" but it does not contain any vinyl. It's just a paper masking tape.
I'm going to try vinyl stencil transfer paper (or even low-stick vinyl). They make it for Cricut and Silhouette Cameo 4.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07KPB38LK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There's a variety of stencil paper you can try, with varying levels of adhesion. I ordered a sample pack of about 5 to test out. I'll make a post if something works.
Depending on your technique and tools, a lot of artists get away with just plain paper. They work small enough that overspray isn't an issue for them. The paper is just taped to the canvas, or sometimes held on with magnets.
Also something I've looked into was auto masking fluid. You buy it by the gallon and spray a coat on. I think that would be too thin or would destroy the canvas/paper surface, but it's still something I want to try experimenting with.

Oracal is very sticky and permanent. Here is an example for you racket in glossy white. https://www.amazon.com/Oracal-Glossy-Permanent-Vinyl-Inch/dp/B01MF7T40C/ref=sr_1_25?gclid=Cj0KCQiAosmPBhCPARIsAHOen-PEAobHJCuJeXWTxnz12d9CG80Z1908rl-7U_dh5V0DxXZ1nNfLrUAaAlMoEALw_wcB&hvadid=313646169552&hvdev=c&hvlocphy=9004148&hvn...
Real talk, get away from the auto-blade as soon as you can. It was the culprit of so many problems the first year. I use a premium cut and deep cut blade (2 different kinds silhouette offers) I have pierced literally the surface of the vinyl backer causing a thin layer (the top glossy surface) to come up with the vinyl When this occurs I put the face side down and drag back a corner. Using my hook and spatula I lightly tug on the edges of the that aren't adhering to the transfer tape Occasionally I have to leave that thin white film on till after I get the backer completely off than I take my hook softly pierce the white on the back of the vinyl and peel up.
This is the high tac transfer I use, idk if it's actually considered high tac but it's million times better than oracal. I strictly use oracal vinyl because of experiences with sisser and generic pattern vinyl

This masking tape works great for me. It’s just sticky enough to stay but easy to take off without leaving residue or even pulling at the material. If you with with 12” panels (like 12x19 for example) they fit perfectly as well in one strip.

I have a giant roll of what is called transfer tape. It’s used for transferring complex vinyl cutouts. Long story short is it’s about 12 inches wide and it’s just masking tape. The great thing is it’s one single piece so I don’t getting any lines on the bottom of my prints. So something like this:
And before every print I spray a layer of aquanet (or any cheap hairspray really) down. Yes it’s a lot of trouble but it works.
