Bonnie Barker has very competent books on crochet cabling. I have the first two but the newest one (https://smile.amazon.com/Cable-Crochet-Made-Easy-Tutorials/dp/1974063097/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1ZZZ8AKP4YJV4&dchild=1&keywords=bonnie+barker+crochet+books&qid=1602904704&sprefix=bonnie+barker%2Caps%2C186&sr=8-1) has access to accompanying videos. She's also on YouTube as Bonnie Bay Crochet and does teach some cabling on her channel.
Did a reverse image search and Google Lens pointed me to this book:
I'm very tempted now! 😂

Based on another post, I'm going to guess you're from the UK? If so, you're probably going to want a book with British terminology, which is a bit different than US (where I live) terminology. (
This book is British, and looks to have lots of pictures, and should teach you the basics. I personally didn't learn to crochet from a book, so someone else can probably make a better recommendation. Maybe see if your local library has a copy you can borrow, since it's a bit pricey:
You should try the Snuggle and Play crochet book. Has 20 lovey patterns with full animal versions of each as patterns. I LOVE it and they are pretty simple and customizable. Amazon link below!
