RICE DOES NOT FUCKING WORK!
If you're going to put your phone in to anything, put it in to a bag filled with these. These little babies will remove all the moisture in your phone really quickly. Rice i repeat RICE does not work!
PS: The link is the first thing on Google. I do not promote this seller or advice you buy from them.
Right now you should have the phone turned off, removed from any source of charging and left to completely dry out for the next 3 days. Give it a good shake flicking the water towards the open holes on the phone (Bottom and top speakers) then leave for a few more days until no more water remains. At this point you may try to turn the phone on, if it's completely dead place it on charge and watch the screen. If no warnings = good if warnings = leave to dry out longer and or take it to a phone shop for repairs.
You can hear it when you're printing. It can have all sorts of bad effects on your print.
If you put your ear close you can hear little pops, when the moisture turns to steam in the hot end.
I'm not even in a high humidity area, but I already have to store my filament in bags with dessicant or else I have to trash it after 6 months, but now sometimes I use filament that's 4 or 5 years old.
I use reusable dessicant like this: https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Desiccant-Indicating-Industry-Standard/dp/B01I5Y2DG6 and gallon ziplock bags (but some people have special dry boxes).
5 Gram Pack of 50 "Dry & Dry" Premium Pure & Safe Silica Gel Packets Desiccant Dehumidifiers - Food Safe Rechargeable Paper https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00DYKTS9C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_JR0DFWZP5Y98B8N8DFBC?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I got this
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M7V19JE
and threw a couple dozen in my foam case, a few in my ammo box, and then found other stuff around the house to use the rest on. They have beads that change color when saturated, and you can microwave them to ‘recharge’ them.
> Throw some dessicant packs from a shoebox or beef jerky pouch in your case
You can just buy desiccant on Amazon for less than 8 cents a pack. Might be a better option than salvaging jerky packaging like a savage.
Why the little packets of silica that come with a lot of products, especially electronics items are worth keeping and reusing for purposes like this. I keep them in my camera bag or in anything else I store my camera gear in. One can buy them online too.

Don't use Rice. Do this: https://www.ifixit.com/Wiki/Don%27t_Put_Your_Device_in_Rice._Here%27s_Why...
Additionally if you want to absorb moisture. Use those Silica Gel packets that come in most of your amazon purchases. Or if you don't care about money, you can buy them from amazon.

EDIT: Spelling
EDIT2: I wonder if buying Silica packets come with an additional Silica packet in the box, not part of the order.
I used these. I like them because they change colors when they’re completely saturated with moisture
Just got a giant tub of gel beads on Amazon and a air tight container to do this. Highly suggest looking into those beads because you get more than enough for under $30 and they are reusable.
Apparently they turn a different color after they are saturated and then you can put them in the over and re-dry them out. Only a week or so in so idk how well them absorb but the reviews are great on them

Yes. Perfect. Put one of these with each lens. https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Premium-Packets-Desiccant-Dehumidifiers/dp/B00DYLR3Q6/ref=sr\_1\_4?dchild=1&keywords=silica+gel+packets&qid=1625446491&sr=8-4
I don’t know what that is sorry. I can personally recommend this. As for your mushrooms idk man it’s hard to say without any pictures
The cheapest I've seen ammo cans for
They're pretty high quality too, for a Harbor Freight product. The seals are really good.
With this combo your ammo will last decades.
Lube that bitch up, and throw in some of those delicious forbidden snack packets and you’ll be GTG
Yup, i vacuum seal them by the ounce. I add one of these to each ounce to make sure they stay perfectly dry. If you dried them properly these arent really needed as the vacuum sealed is air tight, but I like to put a packet inside each pouch. If you keep them out of the light and in a reasonably temp controlled area, not too hot they should keep a long time. Its air that mostly ruins them but in a vacuum sealed pack they shouldnt have any air.
What are your thoughts on keeping it in a jar with a desiccant packet like this? I imagine a pipe sitting out would smell and I can't let my room smell like burnt tobacco because of my living situation.

Cheap and effective
Are you intending on using it for a dessicant drying chamber or long term storage? For a drying chamber I recommend DampRid, but make sure the fruits are separated from the dessicant by a paper towel or something. For long term storage use something food safe like this.
What you have pictured might work for a drying chamber but I don't have experience using it.
I would seal it in a bag or container with a bunch of these.
I would get reusable silica gel beads - you dry them by reheating them: https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Desiccant-Indicating-Industry-Standard/dp/B01I5Y2DG6/
It might be more convenient to get the ones prepackaged in a little heater that you plug in: https://www.amazon.com/Improved-Eva-dry-333-Renewable-Dehumidifier/dp/B000H0XFCS
I think once they are dehydrated you want to keep them as dry as possible, those ones are to maintain a humidity level. Find some silica dessicant and use them. This is what I bought based on someone in one of these subs recommendations. Just tape to the inside of the lid when you put the dried fruits in the jar.

Probably as long as you need to! I have never held on to them longer than a half a year, and they were no doubt just as potent as when they were out in the jar. From what I’ve heard if they are stored properly they can stay active for years with a negligible drop in potency. It’s a very slow decline (ie. Breaking down the active compounds) from what I understand. Once they are dried the main enemies are moisture, oxygen, and light. I store mine in quart mason jars with one or two silica packets each. You can get like 50 pack bags on Amazon for like under 15$

I have heard some people use the gel which you spoke of to dry them with varying results. I’m sure the potency from drying that way vs dehydrator is negligible.
Here’s a dehydrator for 40$
Nesco FD-37 Food Dehydrator https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003I4F7AS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_2MJ.Fb24911Z8
For like 60$ all your drying needs done never have to fuck with turning and checking them and wondering about mold, it’s the way to go for me.
Anyway hope that helps! Happy harvesting!

I have this Ziploc storage bin from walmart that has a seal around the edge https://www.walmart.com/ip/Ziploc-60-Qt-Large-Deep-Weathertight-Storage-Box-Clear/38345584
Then I bought this huge thing of silica gel off amazon, drilled a bunch of holes into the container so air can get in/out, and threw that in there as well. https://www.amazon.com/Quart-Replacement-Desiccant-Indicating-Silica/dp/B013L31PQ0
How much did you plan on paying for a dehydrator? I would HIGHLY recommend you purchase a dehydrator and avoid freezing your product. This is the dehydrator I got. I bought this one used for 36 dollars off of amazon, and it has been absolutely fantastic.
I would definitely recommend picking that bad boy up and picking up a pack of good desiccants like the ones I bought here. Some people say you can use cat litter, I tried and didn't really see it working well. You'll notice very quickly that even when they are cracker dry, if you store them in a plastic bag for a day or two they absorb moisture and start becoming soft.
Don't skimp out on this stage of the process.
a good way to prevent rust is using desiccants, those little packets of silica gel in shoe boxes and stuff. You leave them in their little package, put them around your gun, and they suck up moisture from the air. here is a link to some on amazon.
As far as removing rust, start with the most gentle method and proceed from there. Sometimes rubbing it with a dry paper towel is adequate. Don't use sandpaper until you've tried more mild methods first
The top 'floor' of my lack enclosure is sealed for the filament to feed down to the printer floor. It can hold about 10 open reels.
You can get silica in various colors, and for this stuff, orange is unspent, dark green when saturated - from here: https://www.amazon.com/Dry-Desiccant-Indicating-Industry-Standard/dp/B01I5Y2DG6
I use them. As far as know they are harmless so why not. I put one or two in all my boxes of gun stuff. I got a bulk pack from amazon and they seem to work. Heres the link for em:

Hers is what I use to dry plants any similar product will work just as well.
It changes colors when saturated
You can bake the silica gel at 225°f to dry after it is saturated.
If you buy Taulman's Nylon 230, then you can print Nylon at 230°C on a stock printer. It's only $25 per Kg on Amazon. It's also great for making gears, bushing, orings, and gaskets because its self lubricating. I got it and it prints beautifully. It has a hard time sticking to the bed, so I use liquid white elemers glue. I like to mix about 15% water and 85% glue together to make it easier to spread. Heat the bed up, apply glue in a zig zag pattern, then spread evenly on the bed with your finger in circular motions. When it starts to dry and get tacky, which it does pretty quick, I press my finger print up and down everywhere in order to make lots of little ridges to increase the surface area for the nylon to stick to.
One last major thing. Nylon is EXTREMELY hygroscopic. Meaning it will suck water right out of the air. I left the roll out on a semi humid day for about 18 hours. I didn't put it away because I was going to use it in 18 hours. The next time I printed it was snap crackling and popping because the moisture it absorbed was turning into steam when it hit the 230°C nozzle. I put it in a gallon sized zip lock freezer bag (you must use a freezer bag because the normal kind is not air tight) with a bunch of silica gel packs for a few days and that resolved the problem. You can buy a 50 pack of 5g bags on Amazon for $11. I use 5 of them in the freezer bag.

This is the one I got. There are ones out there that are $45 per kg, and one that's $24, but it's only 1 pound. This one printed great for me and the diameter was spot on.
