Honestly the best lighting choice I've made. Can get super bright and lights up the whole tabletop. The one I have is here.
It was this one for the same price but the code made it $60 off and it stacked with the $5 off coupon.
It’s super dope! It changes colors and patterns! Here you go: BlissLights Sky Lite 2.0 - RGB LED Laser Star Projector, Galaxy Lighting, Nebula Lamp (Blue Stars, Smart App) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08XYBD1B6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_DJT7ZQR3SJRFY5S6TMB2
I've helped a number of people address this issue so I hear what you're asking.
When it comes to LED lights for improving your Zoom image, here's the features the lights should have:
Beyond that, the brand doesn't matter and it will depend on how you want to mount it, color preference, etc. for which one you actually go with.
With your desk, you may want to consider something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Eye-Care-Stepless-Adjustable-Temperature-Architect/dp/B07TG2BY46/ref=sr_1_2_sspa?dchild=1&keywords=led+architect+lamp&qid=1625518887&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzTUxGODQwTzJBSVJZJmV...
In addition to making you look more professional on your Zoom calls (therefore being a more effective communicator), I think you'll find that a desk light will be very useful in the evenings for your desk generally and you'll quickly wonder how you ever got by without one. If you really want to ensure a proper lighting setup, you should buy two of those and have one to either side of your camera for a flat, even light on your face.
Another option is to buy some Elgato lights because they work great. However, they're also very expensive and they can't double as desk lights, which is why I recommend going a different route in this situation.
Hope that helps and good luck!

I wanted to get one but just didnt want to spend the money on the BenQ light bar just to find out that I dont like it. But after a year of use on this amazon one, its damn awesome. I start work pretty early and some late nights, its nice to be able to turn on a light a dim it down. also the 3 color temps are awesome. This one is pretty well built bar itself is aluminum and the clamp is heavy plastic. On sale right now for $39

Looks great! Maybe you’re lacking in the lighting department? A monitor light bar will take your setup to the next level. Grab yourself one of these:
Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp, Screen Monitor Light Bar for Eye Caring, e-Reading LED Task Lamp with Auto-Dimming & Stepless Hue Adjustment, Touch Control, No Screen Glare Space Saving Home Office Lamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZY3VZ8HV14B3K72KA4AS
I was skeptical at first, but this thing has been my favorite upgrade to my space. It bathes only your desktop work area in nice warm light, and since you can’t see the light source, it almost feels magical. Do yourself a favor and get one.
Here is the link to the one I have. It does have auto-dimming, but the temperature change is manual.
It’s this lamp. Half of it is cut out the picture. It is great! Stays out of my work area. Wide range of brightness and color temps
I achieved the same thing by putting this lamp behind my monitor, for less than 30 bucks.
Of course, your desk is a helluva lot less cluttered than mine.
I just received my EppieBasic 31.5" ultra-wide table lamp. It is awesome. I ordered 3 more for two WFH spots and my office. Nice find!
I found it on amazon. It's a screw tight base, so it fits on the little stand perfectly!
Globe Electric 32" Multi-Joint Desk Lamp with Metal Clamp, Black Finish, 56963 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HX2EVPS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_NHx-yb5E629A2
Ahhh, yeah, somehow I. glossed over "behind the screen" and thought he was talking about LEDs inside the tower.
And yeah, I have a cheap LED lamp I got off Amazon that I have set behind my screen for some back lighting. Works pretty well and has multiple brightnesses and temperatures (aka blue balance) for different times of day.
Still though, the others were def talking about regular ceiling room lighting.
Got mine in Asia, but it's this same model on Amazon. Looks to be on sale at 50% off which ends up to $19. I have no idea how legit this is, but if it's really the same one I have, then that's a pretty solid deal
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CXL3YQ8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_b.GKFbZBX7SQF?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Your setup looks great; I would just add some lighting to your setup. You can add an LED strip behind the table to add some accent lighting, or even a “screen bar” to help light your workspace evenly. I use both on my setup and they help to reduce eye strain when I work in the evening.
I use the Philips Hue LED strip for my setup. For my screen bar, I use the one made by Baseus (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085C8J6RM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_99EuFb845ERZ8).
lmao oops
It has a good amount of rotation and adjustment so you're not stuck with just a single angle. Here's a copy I found on Amazon.
I got this one and I love it despite all the tech YouTubers busting on light bars.
I connected its power input to a USB port on my monitor. It remembers my settings for color and color temp and booting up my PC turns on my monitor which turns the light on. Shuts off along with the monitor when I shut down the PC. One of the best things I bought for my system! That's definitely what I recommend.
the setup looks nice!!! all i could recommend is one of those monitor light bars that lighten up your desk, ive been slowly upgrading my setup and the light bar makes my eyes feel sm better at night, plus it doesn't distract my roommate when they are sleeping, also good if you wrtite on notepads or cant touch-type well with a non rgb keeb like me https://www.amazon.ca/Quntis-Computer-Auto-Dimming-Adjustment-Reading/dp/B08DKQ3JG1
bit it looks good!!
I have a winter set up that lets my trees limp/grow along for the winter until the summer when they can get some full sun. For a window I have done well with desk lamps and UV grow bulbs.
Definitely not ideal but you can have a couple adjust, the position and distance to focus them on trees that need more light.
Same!! It’s good background content while I’m editing but it does get distracting at times haha. And it is a light bar made by ‘Quntis’ you can find it on Amazon!! And those are my computer / tv speakers edifier Luna eclipse…bought them years ago but they’ve been holding up just great.
Link to the light bar…
I got it off amazon, brand name is Lampat
https://www.amazon.com/Baseus-Computer-Adjustable-Brightness-Temperature/dp/B08CXL3YQ8
The only thing I dislike about it is the fixing clip it has. I'm always afraid it will press too hard on the monitor frame/display - but no issues after a year of usage - but it's still my only paranoia.
Here you go!
Here you go!
Here you go!
I linked it below; it is just a cheap one from amazon. I thought about the BenQ because I like the wireless puck controller thing, but I didn't want to pay that much money. However, I've read that having an overhead light is good for focus which is why I purchased it.
https://www.amazon.ca/PHIVE-Architect-Bright-Drafting-Brightness/dp/B07MHH9Q7B
Okay I’m not getting how to paste an active link here.. but the above url is the exact lamp I have. I really love it… several lighting settings.
I have a $30 lighting bar from Baseus and it made all the difference as well. I would suggest a small 60w bulb behind the monitor to balance out the light and take strain off your eyes as well.
The light over the monitor is this Light bar with a Logitech C920 webcam tied on with a zip tie. However, there's a right-angle USB-C cable I'm using as the normal cable goes back straight from the top and wouldn't leave room for the webcam to sit on it.
Many lamps are rated in maximum watts and it doesn't matter whether the bulb is LED, fluorescent or incandescent. Here is a 60W:
https://www.amazon.com/Globe-Electric-56963-Multi-Joint-Metal/dp/B00HX2EVPS
Definitely the cable management is the first thing that comes to my mind that can definitely be improved. U can get some raceways or cable run them under the desk. Then next thing i would do is build 2 low profile slide out draws attached under the desk so u can put the soundboard and other stuff like your work stuff, pens, remote control, wallet in so the desk will look more tidy. If u do this u can put your PC on the desk since your pc looks nice. I would also try to tidy up those cables at the back on the ground. Also i would replace that lamp with a monitor lamp like this (https://www.amazon.com/Quntis-Computer-Reading-Auto-Dimming-Adjustment/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=2JWAC7ZBA4JRT&keywords=monitor%2Blamp&qid=1663220303&sprefix=monitor%2Blamp%2B%2Caps%2C145&sr=8-3&th=1)
I have this one right here. I use it when doing photo editing, when mounted properly; it lights your desk up without inflicting any glare on your monitor. When I use it for studying/note taking, I don't have to fight with the shadow of my phat head.
I recommend one.
where did u place the projector in order to cover the whole entire ceiling? i bought this onehttps://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XYBD1B6/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but only covers the corner of my desk
I've used this one on three different ultrawides, each with varying thickness, and it worked perfectly fine. Where it clips on to the top of the monitor is adjustable.
Its [this](https://www.amazon.com/Baseus-Computer-Adjustable-Brightness-Temperature/dp/B08CXL3YQ8/ref=sr_1_8?crid=1QEEQG7VAO7WH&keywords=baseus+led+desk+lamp&qid=1654787767&sprefix=Baseus+LED%2Caps%2C173&sr=8-8) one. Havent turned it off since I got it, can really recommend it. Be vary if you got a thicker screen since it attaches in a weird way.
I have two projectors on either side of the living room mounted up high (so you dont walk in from or get blinded). The house came prewired for security, and I didnt need to mount a horn or motion detector in either location. So I used the low voltage wire two power both of these and the smart plug is in the low voltage cabinet. I still have to repaint these things white so they blend in more.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XYBD1B6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Noted! Thanks, do you have any suggestions about the monitor light?
What do you think about this one? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CXL3YQ8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_dl_H48048JM6AH8JKAFY2GA?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Cheap, has good ratings, works great.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CXL3YQ8/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_dl_H7E1AE1FGJMRWTB9FMGX?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Looks like it's even on sale right now :) I love the different color temps and dimmability. The only thing you should note is that the LEDs make a /slight/ humming sound when at max brightness, nothing that can't easily be drowned out, but if you're like me and occasionally enjoy total silence, you may notice it.
I have this light bar and I can't get the thing to stay on my 48" C1 because of how thin the top is. Does your light bar just fit on top or did you need to mess around with the placement?
Just search “desk light bar” on Amazon. This is the one I got but it isn’t compatible with all monitors: https://www.amazon.com/Baseus-Computer-Adjustable-Brightness-Temperature/dp/B08CXL3YQ8/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=3BXADG4ZN2ITE&keywords=desk+light+bar&qid=1651055895&sprefix=desk+light+bar%2Caps%2C104&sr=8-3
Nyari lampu arsitek gini tapi di tokped switchnya di kabel semua smh.
I have this one, and it does everything I need it to. Three hues, and a variable dimmer for each setting
We use this galaxy projector as our night light and I'm obsessed with it. It's fun and relaxing and it doesn't impact my sleep at all.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B08DKQ3JG1
I got this one to try it. I would like a slightly longer one ideally, but it works fine to illuminate my desk, and saves me having to turn on the garish, colder ceiling lights, so it's a win for me
This is attached to the top of my monitor.
It shines directly down on my keyboard and has no glare off the screen.
Desktop is butcher block that I cut and stained. Desks are Ikea Alex. Industrial pipe fittings for the risers. Clock on desk is a google nest hub I use to control the thermostat, front door, doorbell, etc.
Monitor light is Quntis Monitor Lamp.
No it’s perfect. Emits light straight down and there’s no reflection on the curved panel, lights up the desktop perfectly. It’s the Baseus light from Amazon
Baseus Monitor Light Bar, Monitor... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CXL3YQ8?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
This is the projector that does that stars/mist but I think the led light show with the hearts etc is a separate projector. They’re using two:

The webcam doesn’t attach real well to the light so I just have the clam extended so it lays flat and then I wrapped it to the light with a Velcro cable tie.
Yeah the ad is highly edited tbh. I know bc I bought one. I liked this one better- it’s more expensive but it’s awesome
I use this bar on mine. Has a lot of freedom for positioning and doesn't put weight on the monitor:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07MHH9Q7B/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It looks like you will have a computer there. Just put one of these on the monitor.
In my opinion, automation should be useful to something. If working from home or something, and if your computer can do wake on lan, then make that your automation.
Further automation on the computer to auto launch applications when logged in will save you time logging in each day

I will be doing a full list of components included in my set up but below is just the light bar. It's not the exact one but just a different brand.
It's the Quntis Monitor Lamp from Amazon
I just added this to my setup today. It’s like those light bars, but it clamps to the desk rather than sitting on the monitor. It’s much bigger and brighter too. I really like it so far.
EppieBasic LED Desk Lamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08C5HG5CS
I got mine on amazon. This ones a little pricey because of the quality and the bendable arm, but there are cheaper options that clip to ypur monitor and stuff

Beautiful.
May I recommend this product to complete the room: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08XYBD1B6/
I have one in every bedroom in my house! It is fantastic!!
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
One thing I would like to add is a lamp. I've been looking at monitor light bars but don't really want 2 of them. There are some ultra wide desk lamps like this:
PHIVE LED Desk Lamp, Architect Clamp Task Table Lamp, 15W Super Bright Extra Wide Area Drafting Work Light, 4 Color Modes, 5 Brightness Levels - Great for Workbench, Office, Studio, Reading, Monitor https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07MHH9Q7B/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_ZN1TSVPJSMNS4YV33WHK
Trouble is, they all seem to mount on the edge of a desk and I don't have that option as the desk is flush to the wall. I could cable tie it to the arm but that might look rubbish and also be quite flimsy?
Any other options?
Not OP but I have one that does almost the same thing.

Is it much different from this version that is $30 cheaper on amazon? Or are they pretty much the same?
It worked well for me but I wouldn't recommend it. all my friends who got them complained about how it aggressively clamped on the screen. My screen is a little bit curved so that might play a factor
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08CXL3YQ8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It’s this. I really like it, and I got it for $6 with a pricing error back in June, but I don’t think it’s worth the full $70
The one I have is this, it has warm, bright white, and a mix of the two. Its brightness is adjustable and is powered by a USB-C connection. The great thing is it's great quality without breaking the bank, hope it helps!
I have this, it's relatively cheap while it feels superb. It has a warm, less warm, and white setting and has adjustable brightness. It uses a USB-C connection to power.
Thanks man that's nice to hear and really nice of you ! Most of the time I ask questions and they don't even answer...
And you seem to like minimalistic stuff, one suggestion I could make is to replace the lamp on the desk by a screen lamp. I got this one and I'm really satisfied with it, it's really nice for the eyes to have a light directly above the screen. And it would reduce the amount on stuff on the desk giving you a more advanced minimalistic look ! I love the lamp tho, just a suggestion from a minimalism lover hahahaha ;)
I actually just found the right placement for the light and used double sided tape so it won’t move because I was having issues clamping with the shell of the monitor being too wide.
Thanks! here you go Fam! Monitor Light

This is the one in my shopping cart now. I’m hoping it’ll help me look less shitty in zoom calls too.
Looks great! I have a very similar setup with a vertical monitor on the left and lamp kinda behind it. You’re right, you do need more light in your work area. If you want to take your battlestation to the next level, get a monitor light bar. Here’s the one I have:
Quntis Computer Monitor Lamp, Screen Monitor Light Bar for Eye Caring, e-Reading LED Task Lamp with Auto-Dimming & Stepless Hue Adjustment, Touch Control, No Screen Glare Space Saving Home Office Lamp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DKQ3JG1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZAMX0TW3X74XMTRDBFFD
It’s absolutely perfect for your situation. It’s very high quality and adds a level of class to your work area. When set up correctly, it perfectly illuminates your work while the light source remains hidden. It almost feels magical. It has brightness and “temperature” setting to dial it in to your preferences.
Seriously, get this and you won’t regret it. I was skeptical at first too, but it’s a total game changer.

I have the Quntis one. cheaper than the BenQ. I'm telling you it is a lfe changer, gaming/working/watching/reading in the dark is not good for your eyes. and sometimes I write on my desk so its basically a lamp that doesnt take any space on your desk.
